Restaurant Nutrition Assignment

Go to the website of your favorite restauraRestaurant Menu Analysisnt, and select four different menu items. One must be a caloric beverage, an entrée, a side dish, and one must be a dessert item. These must be items that you consume on a regular basis.

For each item, write down the serving size, calories per serving, grams of fat, grams of saturated fat, grams of sugar, milligrams of sodium, and how many servings of this item you usually have at one time, and finally, the total amount of saturated fat and sodium based on the amount of the menu item you consumed. If you dine at restaurants that don’t always serve single portions but maybe serve platters for several people to share, be sure to pay attention to how many servings there are in the total dish, and try to approximate how many of those servings you ate.

From the same restaurant, you must also identify an alternate menu item for each that is a healthier choice and tell me why it is healthier. Simply saying that you will eat less of your regular item is not allowed. Using what you have learned in this class, write a full one-page paper discussing your thoughts about the restaurant and making healthier choices.
