Blood glucose can be raised by carbohydrate rich food. By keeping track of how many carbohydrates you eat and setting a limit for how many to eat, you can help keep your blood glucose levels within normal range. What does this mean for an adult or child diagnosed with diabetes?
· In recent years, low-carbohydrate diets have become popular and have received media attention. These diets involve replacing carbohydrates with high-protein foods; such diets can produce rapid weight loss, but there are a number of negative attributes linked to this type of diet.
