Watch the sexual harassment video linked below, then respond as directed below.
I think we can all agree that Tom should have defended Wendy when the client acted inappropriately. As Wendy’s supervisor and one of the company’s managers, Tom’s tolerance of the client’s remarks and his subsequent actions demonstrated a lack of respect for women and lower-level positions. Managers are instrumental in creating and reinforcing a company’s culture.
After watching the video write a reflection paper including answers to the 2 questions below:
- Identify the type of sexual harassment that occurred between Tom and Wendy. Explain your answer.
- Ralph, Tom’s supervisor, addressed the allegations with Tom in a timely manner (same day); however, he made some errors. Discuss what errors you saw and how Ralph could have handled the situation better
