Simulation Tabletop Project (30%)

All simulation material to be provided through the classroom.

Based on the scenario, select and describe the role of your assigned department and overall discipline (law enforcement, fire, EMS, Public Works) in the response. Based on the description of resources in the Central City materials, is this something your Department has the resources to handle on its own?

Consult the National Response Framework – Terrorism Incident Annex…what agencies will you and your Department need to work with directly and indirectly at the local, State, federal levels? Cite specific details from the appropriate documents.

Deliverables. Uploaded as one complete package to the Assignments Folder by end of Week 7.

  • Explain the structure of your operations section in a 1-2 page description. Detail how this relates to the achievement of incident objectives and response policy.
  • Develop the specific message that would be released through the media and announced by the PIO. (Consider what does the public need to know? and what do you need them to do?). Develop a 1-2 page explanation of the warning message you constructed.
  • Develop a 1-2 page After Action Report (AAR) of the process.
