find a peer-reviewed social science article that uses an experimental group and a control group. Using the article, complete these steps:

  • Summarize the article.
  • Name the type of design used in the research.
  • Explain the experiment group and control group – what was done for each group?
  • Describe whether the researcher(s) could have arrived at the same conclusion(s) without a control group, why or why not?
  • Discuss whether another design would have been more appropriate for the research and if so, what design and why?

Please note: The article must have BOTH experimental group and control group in their study, and the researchers  would have made the comparison. The study will explain what happens within the experimental group, and what happens within the control group. If they only have experimental group, please do not assume ‘others’ as their control because to be a control group, it has to be controlled within the same study as well.

TIPS:
