The individual assessment in this course requires you to write an essay that must include two sections.The first section (min 50% of this assignment) is where you provide an academic analysis of entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship. You will need to choose one topic or metaphor (see Lundmark et al. (2017) reading) from class that interests you the most and develop a hypothesis that you will need to substantiate theoretically with literature research and by providing empirical examples.
In Session 7 we will have a group work exercise on your individual assignment Section 1 where you will have the opportunity to discuss you hypotheses with other team members.Please prepare the following for this week’s session:Step 1: Think about hypotheses about an important metaphor or question about entrepreneurship such as (these are examples only, you can develop any hypotheses on any topic/metaphor relevant to entrepreneurship):

What are the most important success factors for entrepreneurs(hip)?

(Why) do we (as a society/nation) need entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship?

What, if anything, is unique about entrepreneurship?

(How) does entrepreneurship create value and/or growth?

(What) are the downsides to entrepreneurship?

Entrepreneurship is a like an organism, a mindset, a method, etc. (see Lundmark et al., 2017)

Step 2: Once you have an idea for a hypothesis, think about

The literature and theory you will need to substantiate it

Empirical examples to illustrate it

Develop one or a few initial hypotheses to discuss with your team members in class and get feedback from the teaching team.
