First you need to read two articles. Then write the essay.

two articles are in the files.

3 attached files are including two articles and one requirement document.

Length: 1000 words (you may exceed this by at most 250 words), excluding references and bibliography. Include a word count after your last paragraph.

Title page: include the following details: the title of your paper (your choice), your name and student number, the course code and title, and the date.

Format: 12 pt, Times New Roman font, justified margins, double-spacing in the body of the text, single-sided, page numbers (not on title page; Word and Pages have this option). For Turnitin.com submission NO PDFs, only MSWord or close equivalent

First paragraph: short introduction briefly introducing the topic of your paper (2 or 3 lines).

Second paragraph: What is the essence of Gilbert Harman’s situationist critique of virtue ethics? Make reference in your answer to the example of the Milgram experiment. You should not waste space describing the actual experiment in detail, but rather give a brief description of the gist of it. The paragraph should not just be about the Milgram experiment—rather, you need to use Harman’s discussion of it in order to explain the most important points Harman makes in his critique of virtue ethics that you can reasonably cover in such a short space.

Third paragraph (longer than Paragraph 2, precise lengths of both up to you): What is the essence of Solomon’s response to Harman’s critique and his defence of virtue ethics and its role in business ethics? Make reference to his discussion of the Milgram experiment. Again, don’t just focus on this experiment, but use it to explain the most important points Solomon makes in his defence of virtue ethics and its role in business ethics that you can reasonably cover in such a short space.

Fourth paragraph (around 200 words): What is your take on Harman’s critique and Solomon’s response? Do you think virtue ethics has a role to play in business ethics? Give reasons for your opinions (i.e., it’s obviously not enough to just say, “I agree with Harman”). You can speak in the first person (i.e., use “I”).
