Share your understanding
of what being “part of the body” of Christ really
means and if you believe there is any correlation to your role as a nursing
scholar.
Background information
In Christ, we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
(Romans 12:5)
Each of us is one with Christ and important as part of “the body” of believers. As individual nurses, we represent one perspective, but we are also a part of a greater whole – the profession of nursing. What is your understanding of being “part of the body” of Christ? How does this relate to being part of a larger professional body – are there any similarities or differences? What does individual responsibility mean as a member of the body?
