Term Paper Guidelines: (See syllabus for deadlines)

1. The total length of paper should not exceed 8 pages including figures and references. The

text part should at least 5 pages of text.

3. The paper should be typed and double spaced. Submit an electronic copy (pdf format) by

the due date.

4. The term paper should include the following

c. Comparison with other devices/processes/approaches

e. Conclusion

f. References (Use IEEE or APS format). Direct copying of copy righted material

from books, journals or web is considered a form of cheating. You may use short

quotes from an article with proper credit, i.e. include the source in reference.

g. Figures with captions

5. Each student is expected to give 10 minute oral presentation in front of class. Keep in

mind that other students in the class may not have prior knowledge about your topic. Use

power point or pdf.

6. Please submit a copy of your power point presentation before your scheduled presentation.
