You will write one individual final paper worth 25% (150 points) of your overall grade. In this paper, you will comprehensively apply the contents from this course to a company of your own choosing. This may be a company that you work or have worked for, or a company that you are able to gain information about via online and library resources as well as personal connections. For example, most large organizations have websites introducing themselves, their geographic representation, their management team, etc. In addition, a lot of HR-related information can be found by scouting the company’s career or job sites. You may further find articles about the company’s HR practices in news articles or case studies (e.g. Harvard Business Review). You may also interview representatives of your selected company to gain HR insights. If you do interview company representatives, however, I expect that you complement that information with resources that are more easily accessible to the public (e.g. general company description provided via the company website).
