Reflection: Thus far, we have watched Tim Urban’s TedTalk and read his blog about procrastination. Of note is his concept of “Q2” in his procrastination matrix, where our “future selves” are often neglected regarding health, relationships and career. Then we read Malesic’s questioning of the assumption that Americans are procrastinating more due to loss of discipline. Then we read an argument about food awareness issues by Kirshenbaum & Buhler. Reflect on 1-3 new awarenesses about procrastination, Q2, food and health that have occurred to you, based on your observations in your life and/or in the lives of others. Highlight an underlying assumption about this that interests you. Reflect on your group introductions and your discussion about procrastination and underlying assumptions.

Direction: In what ways might your path to your “future healthy self” be complicated or clarified by information in Kirshenbaum & Buhler? Mention the information and discuss how it influences your Q2 goals for health.
