- Provide the status of the issue;
- Identify stakeholders that identify with the issue;
- Describe the issue in terms of two contexts from the following choices — social, political, economic, and/or cultural; and
- Make a policy recommendation, based on the paper’s analysis.
This quiz will help ensure you have considered every aspect of the demands of the assignment, while helping me to ascertain you have met them.
The quiz is pretty straight-forward: Simply answer each question as to how your paper meets a particular requirement.
1. In your own words, what is the IMPORTANCE of your issue.
Your answer should tell me why it is important. For instance, if your topic identifies a potential cut in funding to a particular agency, you might stress how the agency functions in a community, what services they provide, etc.

This question asks you to think of all those who might be affected. Be sure to include their role in the community, etc. For instance, be specific about groups (i.e. don’t just write “general public”, but maybe narrow it down to “the homeless population”, “inmates”, “children”, etc.) Include any agencies that might be affected. For instance, if your issue involves proposed cuts to funding, include the employees, vendors, and customers of the agency. Or, mention, perhaps, how a community might be adversely affected by the loss of a large agency.
