You talk with Mike and Tiffany at lunch. “You’ve done some great research and brought up some good ideas to implement in the presentation,” you say. “There is one element that we are missing.”  “One of the most important aspects of the strategy: our competitors,” Tiffany states.  “I’ve already done some analysis, and there are many in the global market. It seems like there are several office furniture companies thriving, but not as many custom furniture manufacturers,” Mike elaborates.   “Well, we need to provide the board with some solid competitors. I’ll work on finding our top two,” you say. Complete the following: •Who are your top 2 global competitors in the market?  •Provide a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis for each competitor.  •Why are they direct competitors?  •What is their competitive advantage?    •Could you form a cooperative strategy with any of the competitors?  ◦If so, how? ◦If not, why?   •What strategies could you use to build a competitive market profile?  •What is balanced scorecard?   The materials found in the M.U.S.E. may help you with this assignment such as the audio file Choosing a Strategy. Critically discuss how Positivism, Natural Law and Historical schools of jurisprudence would view the rules related to Nor Salwani’s conduct.

The New Straits Times reported on 27th December 2019 that Nor Salwani Mohammad, a National Audit Department staff had secretly recorded a high level meeting involving the then chief secretary of the government . It was alleged that during that meeting instructions had been given to modify the 1MDB audit report. While Nor Salwani’s boss, the then Auditor General had cleared her of any wrongdoing, on 16th June 2020 recently the former chief secretary of the government, Ali Hamsa testified in court that Nor Salwani’s act of secretly recording the meeting was arguably unethical for a civil servant.

While there are indeed rules governing the professional conduct of a civil servant in Malaysia, there are also many who are of the opinion that what Nor Salwani did was just and proper. On the other hand, there are also some who feel that as a Malay, Nor Salwani should have been loyal to the then chief secretary of the government who was her ultimate superior. This particular group views seriously the duty of a civil servant to obey the commands of the superior together with the prohibition from embarrassing and/or scandalizing the government of the day.

1)Critically discuss how Positivism, Natural Law and Historical schools of jurisprudence would view the rules related to Nor Salwani’s conduct.

Explain two unintended consequences of the War on Drugs. Explain whether or not you believe society has benefited from the War on Drugs and why.

Many early examples of attempts to eradicate drugs exist such as the Chinese opium laws, the Marijuana Tax Act, and Prohibition. In the last century, certain policies were re-implemented that history had already demonstrated were unable to achieve the desired effect.

It could be argued that the War on Drugs of the 1980s has had the single greatest effect on the American criminal justice system. These policies arguably had a greater impact on the social, political, and economic criminal justice reality in the name of deterrence and rehabilitation. For this Discussion, you examine unintended consequences of the War on Drugs and whether or not society has benefited from this war.

ASSIGNMENT : Explain two unintended consequences of the War on Drugs. Explain whether or not you believe society has benefited from the War on Drugs and why.

What are the potential international implications of the War on Drugs?

Describe the necessary strategies to remedy these issues.
