Customer Relationship Model

A customer relationship model attempts to enhance the relationship between the organization and the customer. The goal is to improve customer loyalty while identifying any potential opportunities.

In this week’s assignment, please find a local healthcare organization that specializes in treating specific patients (ex: cancer, pediatrics, catastrophic injuries) or illnesses. Research the organization, and build a Customer Relationship Model for the organization.

The assignment must be submitted in a PowerPoint format ( 5 slides) and explains the needs of the customer.

PTSD

Posttraumatic Stress Disorder

It is estimated that more than 6% of the U.S. population will experience posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in their lifetime (National Center for PTSD, 2010). This debilitating disorder often interferes with an individual’s ability to function in daily life. Common symptoms of anxiousness and depression frequently lead to substance abuse issues and even physical ailments. For this Discussion, as you examine the Thompson Family Case Study in this week’s Learning Resources, consider how you might assess and treat clients presenting with PTSD.

To prepare:

· Review this week’s Learning Resources and reflect on the insights they provide.

· View the media Academic Year in Residence: Thompson Family Case Study, and assess the client in the case study ( Below )

· For guidance on assessing the client, refer to pages 137–142 of the Wheeler text in this week’s Learning Resources.

Write an explanation of your observations of the client William in Thompson Family Case Study, including behaviors that align to the PTSD criteria in DSM-5. Then, explain therapeutic approaches you might use with this client, including psychotropic medications if appropriate. Finally, explain expected outcomes for the client based on these therapeutic approaches. Support your approach with evidence-based literature.

Assignments are due by midnight on Mondays.

Assignment: Select your site for the community educational project. Complete and submit the signed (not typed) Community Health Educational Project Permission Form. (if this cannot be completed in the first week, please speak directly with your professor about options). No typed signatures are permitted- the person in charge at the venue you choose to use for your presentation will need to sign the form.  Practice Hours: each module has a minimum required practice hours related to your work on the main education project. Practice hours relate to time spent on project work (Discussion Board work does not apply). Document your hours for Module 1 in Project Concert. Access Project Concert. You should have an estimated 2 – 3 hours for this module. Minimum required hours must be entered into Project Concert for Module 1. week 1 Journal

What are your upcoming week’s specific learning goals and objectives as a Case Manger? What is your upcoming week’s detailed schedule at your community practice experience placement as a Case Manger? Were there any placement items/issues that occurred this week that you feel your instructor should be aware of that are private in nature and are more appropriately shared here than in the discussion board with your classmates? Give a brief description of an objective you worked on this week as a Case Manager. Make sure to cite at least one reference showing how your objective relates to the public health knowledge you’ve studied during this course or the public health course. You may choose to reference your e-text, journal articles, or videos you’ve studied during these courses or you may find an outside reference on your own to further enhance your public health knowledge and practices.

Remember, your journal entries are an important aspect of clinical learning as they serve to help you reflect upon and get the most out of your community practice experience. Therefore, your journal entry should include the who, what, where, and when of your community practice experience. Remember, this should simulate a dialogue that would normally take place face-to-face with your community practice experience instructor.

                                                  MAIN POST

Our healthcare needs an update on how we pay for our treatments. There are four ways to pay for insurance in the United States. The way we pay for our healthcare is Medicare, Medicaid, Private insurance, or out of pocket (Laureate, 2012). My parents are from the Baby Boomer generation and they are living longer than their parents. Insurance companies whether private or government inform doctors to push patients through healthcare as fast as possible to cut down costs (Laureate, 2012).  I have seen working in the emergency room this does not work. Patients are returning to the ER due to insurance not paying for them to stay longer. These patients are sicker on their second admit. This is doing a disservice to patients and causing our patients to think we are in it for money and not to help people.

As healthcare provider, we took an oath to do no harm to patients while they are in our care. I am not a fan of drug companies over pricing medications for the sole purpose to get rich. Walgreens is in a class action lawsuit and accused of overpricing generic medications to patients (Berman & Shapiro, 2017).  There should be a better way to regulate and prevent this if the accusation is true.  In the case of Provenge, medication for prostate cancer, these patients should have the choice to use it. If it was your own family member you would want as much time as possible to spend with them. Studies show that this medication will extend life by at least four months (Stein, 2010). There has to be a better way to deliver this medication in a cheaper way.

Another option is to bypass our drug company in the United States all together. Canada’s online pharmacies were lower than our Medicare drug coverage (Sean, Young, Na-Eun, Andy, & Jongwha, 2017). I have had patients in the Emergency room who had prescription bottles from Canada and they stated it was the only way they could afford their prescriptions.

 Details:

This assignment requires you to interview one person and requires an analysis of your interview experience.

Part I: Interview

Select a patient, a family member, or a friend to interview. Be sure to focus on the interviewee’s experience as a patient, regardless of whom you choose to interview.

Review The Joint Commission resource found in topic materials, which provides some guidelines for creating spiritual assessment tools for evaluating the spiritual needs of patients. Using this resource and any other guidelines/examples that you can find, create your own tool for assessing the spiritual needs of patients.

Your spiritual needs assessment survey must include a minimum of five questions that can be answered during the interview. During the interview, document the interviewee’s responses.

The transcript should include the questions asked and the answers provided. Be sure to record the responses during the interview by taking detailed notes. Omit specific names and other personal information through which the interviewee can be determined.

Part II: Analysis

Write a 500-750 word analysis of your interview experience. Be sure to exclude specific names and other personal information from the interview. Instead, provide demographics such as sex, age, ethnicity, and religion. Include the following in your response: What went well? Were there any barriers or challenges that inhibited your ability to complete the assessment tool? How would you address these in the future or change your assessment to better address these challenges? How can this tool assist you in providing appropriate interventions to meet the needs of your patient? Did you discover that illness and stress amplified the spiritual concern and needs of your interviewee? Explain your answer with examples.

Submit both the transcript of the interview and the analysis of your results. This should be submitted as one document. The interview transcript does not figure into the word count.

Genetic engineering has become a part of our culture and it is difficult to tell the difference between unmodified and genetically modified food sources such as plants and animals. After reading this module’s material regarding vectors in biotechnology, consider the potential for nanotechnology and gene therapy.

For your initial discussion post, research nanotechnology and its potential use in biotechnology. Explain the potential advantages and disadvantages of nanotechnology in health care and discuss whether you would or would not support further research.

Prof. Eliud Peterson

Professional socialization relates to the manner in which we learn the roles and functions of being a nurse once we enter the healthcare system. What are some of the ways this socialization occurs in your place of employment, and do you believe it leads to effective assumption of the nursing role? This socialization occurs in a patriarchal healthcare system that still remains predominantly male physician-based. Discuss the impact, you believe, this has on socialization to the nursing role.

Please I need substantial answers. 100 words in each. Reference between 2013 – 2018. Thanks

Throughout the course, you will be asked to participate in the discussion forums each week. You’ll notice that each week there is a DQ1 and a DQ2. You will need to respond to DQ1 by Wednesday of each week and DQ2 by Friday of each week. For these, I am looking for a substantive post, which is at least 2 good paragraphs. There is no minimum word count. Make sure that the first post in the thread is your response to the main DQ. Make sure you answer all components of the DQ.

You will also need to have at least 4 replies to your classmates which (including the main responses to DQ1 and DQ2) would give you a total of at least 6 posts per week for the discussion forum. Your replies should be at least a short paragraph and should add new information or insight to the topic. You should post on three separate days during the week! Sometimes I post extra questions to liven up the discussion and you can reply to these which will also count towards your participation.

 ASSIGNMENT

The Institute of Medicine has stated a goal that 90% of practice be evidence-based by 2020. According to HealthyPeople.gov, the United States is currently at approximately 15%. Discuss two barriers that might hold nursing practice from achieving this goal, and suggest ways in which identified barriers may be addressed.
