Assignment 3: Final Project Annotated Bibliography

Assignment 3: Final Project Annotated Bibliography

Craft a research question on the topic you selected in your first discussion question post. Then locate at least five articles from peer-reviewed journals that pertain to your question that will be used to write the introduction section of your research proposal.

Submit these five citations in the form of an APA-style reference page. Under each citation, write one paragraph summarizing the main points of the article. As you read your articles, keep the following questions at hand; these will help you generate the information about each article.

    • What were the topic/research questions being investigated?

    • How was the study conducted (participants, materials, procedure, etc.)?

    • What did the results reveal?

    • How might these methodological considerations affect the research findings and the conclusions drawn from them?

  • How does this article fit in with your paper? How did it influence your own ideas about your paper?

Based on your reading of the literature, what do you expect to find?

Include a hypothesis and a title page for your submission.

Submit your paper to the M1: Assignment 3 Dropbox by Wednesday, February 25, 2015. All written assignments and responses should follow APA rules for attributing sources.

China and India have demonstrated trends toward Western-style consumption over the last decade. Given the emphasis on the youth market in the US over the last 60 years (since the baby boom), what can you suggest for marketers in these youth-oriented consumer economies (China and India)?

Guided Response:

  • Describe the products (goods and services) that interest these youth markets.
  • Compare and contrast the micro- and macro-environmental forces that can influence the marketing strategies for these products (goods and services).
  • Analyze the marketing strategies of these two countries and compare them with Western-based consumption marketers (e.g., US).

Business Cycles, Economic Shocks, and Restoring Equilibrium

As a manager, it is important to understand how the business cycle affects supply and demand, prices, and how economic shocks will impact your company’s markets, supply chain, and financing. The recent collapse of the housing market, the near failure of our financial system, the wild swings in commodity and stock prices, and the deep recession of 2007-2009 provide a virtual laboratory for the study of the economic shocks and stabilization measures taken to restore equilibrium.

Create a 1,400-word analysis based on the team’s assigned market in which you include the following:

  • Analyze the economic and sociological forces that drove the market equilibrium to unsustainable heights and the shocks that brought the markets back down. What might be done to moderate the effects of these economic swings?
  • Discuss specific changes in supply and demand.
  • Examine prior government policies and legislation that exacerbated the impact of the shocks.
  • Evaluate the actions of the federal government and the Federal Reserve to restore equilibrium. How effective were these counter-cyclical policies? <<< ONLY THING TO FOCUS ON , MY GROUP IS DOING THE HOUSING INDUSTRY
