STUDENT-CENTERED PLANS FOR COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

Sanders (2006) shares this information regarding Promising Practices Activities:

Activities described in this chapter are selected from Promising (Salinas & Jansorn, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004), an annual publication of the National Network of Partnership Schools (NNPS); the year of publication is indicated in parenthesis for each activity. These twelve activities include a wide variety of community partners and have been implemented to achieve a broad spectrum of goals. The elementary, middle, and high schools implementing these activities are located in urban, suburban, and rural communities serving diverse student populations. What they have in common is their commitment to finding innovative ways to strengthen their students’ schools, families, and communities. (p. 73)

Create a concise summary of your selected Activity-Goal by providing the following integrated components:

A brief description of your Promising Practice Activity case study (Sanders, 2006, p. 73) to increase student achievement, and the manner in which positive collaborations were implemented with teachers, parents, families, and constituents to address those goals;

Your rationale for choosing the Promising Practice Activity;

The classroom, school, or school district context (i.e., how the activity can be addressed in one of those settings) and how the case study process might apply;

Key in the plan;

Key insights you gleaned from the project;

Pictures, graphics, or video clips that exemplify or illustrate the activity or plan.

Include a reference list for the sources from your study (APA style).

This dataset contains the listed prices in thousands of dollars
This dataset contains the listed prices (in thousands of dollars) and the number of square feet for 28 homes in the Seattle area. The data come from the Web site of a Seattle realtor offering homes in the area for sale. For the SRM to work, we need to formulate the model in terms of cost per square foot. Use the selling price per square foot as Y and the reciprocal of the number of square feet as X.

(a) Give a 95% confidence interval for the fixed cost (the portion of the cost that does not change with the size of the home) associated with these home prices, along with a brief interpretation.

(b) Give a 95% confidence interval for the marginal costs (the cost that is related to number of square feet), along with a brief interpretation.

(c) How much might a buyer pay, per square foot, for a specific home with 3,000 square feet in the Seattle area? Give a range, rounded appropriately, to show the buyer.

(d) How much in total might a buyer pay for a 3,000-square-foot home in the Seattle area? Give a range, rounded appropriately, to show the buyer.

paper #4

Rewarding Volunteers
Please state question and then the answer for the the paper

The Online University has established a broadcasting station that must be staffed with volunteers because of budgetary constraints. Volunteers are selected and trained to fill certain roles. The program director did not have a leadership style that worked well with the volunteers, and ultimately he left. For nine months, there was no program director. Another newly hired program director did not get along with the volunteers, and this time, the volunteers resigned and left the station with little help.

Write a six to eight (6-8) page paper in which you:

  1. Analyze the causes of the problem with understaffing at the Online University.
  2. Discuss the importance of a compatible leadership style to motivate and manage a volunteer staff.
  3. Propose a reward system that would adequately maintain volunteer enthusiasm for these tasks.
  4. Describe the appropriate communication or training program that could have alleviated part of this problem and how you would implement it in the future.
  5. Use at least three (3) quality academic resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and other Websites do not qualify as academic resources.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

  • Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
  • Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required page length.

Venture Budgeting and Forecasting Paper

Resources: Kudler Opening Budget

Write a 700- to 900-word paper in APA format in which you do the following:

·       Illustrate how your venture would perform by estimating the revenue and expense to calculate operating profit or loss. Include estimates of your venture’s main sources of revenue and the expenses expected in the main cost categories such as the cost of goods, sales and marketing, labor, rent, maintenance, and any other significant expenses.

·       Illustrate your venture’s startup costs by estimating a preopening budget—also termed development budget—that includes startup costs such as building and construction, Web site development, preopening marketing, equipment, merchandise, preopening operations, research and development, working capital, and any other significant preopening expenses.An example of a preopening budget may be found in the materials listed on the course page for the University of Phoenix student Web site for Week Two named Kudler Opening Budget.

·       Develop financial planning goals by illustrating how your venture would be initially funded by using cash on hand, debt, venture capital, or a combination of these. Use a mortgage calculator found on the Internet and calculate your loan payments. Include these expenses in your Operating Budget. Use the information below to help in your calculations:

Building and Construction Estimation*

Remodeling Fees

$200 per Square Foot

New Building Construction Fees

$450 per Square Foot

*Multiply square footage of small business by fee for estimation.

cost accounting questions need solving and explanations as well

I need full answer with explanation for each of those questions :

1) Compute a Plantwide Overhead Rate

Harris Fabrics computes its plantwide overhead rate annually on the basis of direct labor-hours. At the beginning of the year, it estimated that 20,000 direct labor-hours would be required for the period’s estimated level of production. The company also estimated $94,000 of fixed manufacturing overhead cost for the coming period and variable manufacturing overhead of $2.00 per direct labor-hour. Harris’s actual manufacturing overhead cost for the year was $123,900 and its actual total direct labor was 21,000 hours.

Required:

Compute the company’s plantwide overhead rate for the year.

2) Apply Overhead Cost to Jobs

Luthan Company uses a plantwide overhead rate of $23.40 per direct labor-hour. This plantwide rate was based on a cost formula that estimated $257,400 of total manufacturing overhead cost for an estimated activity level of 11,000 direct labor-hours.

The company incurred actual total manufacturing overhead cost of $249,000 and 10,800 total direct labor-hours during the period.

Required:

Determine the amount of manufacturing overhead cost that would have been applied to all jobs during the period.

3) Computing Total Job Costs and Unit Product Costs Using a Plantwide Overhead Rate

Mickley Company’s plantwide overhead rate is $14.00 per direct labor-hour and its direct labor wage rate is $17.00 per hour. The following information pertains to Job A-500:

Direct materials

$231

Direct labor

$153

Required:

  1. What is the total manufacturing cost assigned to Job A-500?
  2. If Job A-500 consists of 40 units, what is the unit product cost for this job?

4) Underapplied and Overapplied Overhead

Osborn Manufacturing uses a predetermined overhead rate of $18.20 per direct labor-hour. This predetermined rate was based on a cost formula that estimates $218,400 of total manufacturing overhead for an estimated activity level of 12,000 direct labor-hours.

The company actually incurred $215,000 of manufacturing overhead and 11,500 direct labor-hours during the period.

Required:

1.Determine the amount of underapplied or overapplied manufacturing overhead for the period.

2.Assume that the company’s underapplied or overapplied overhead is closed to Cost of Goods Sold. Would the journal entry to dispose of the underapplied or overapplied overhead increase or decrease the company’s gross margin? By how much?

NEED IN LESS THAN AN HOUR2

Present three specific questions that you would ask in the Turing Test to determine if something is real or artificial intelligence. Explain why you think these questions would be the type to reveal the computer to be a computer? Why would these responses have to be given by a human being? (If you don’t think there are such questions, explain how the three questions you chose would fail to determine which one of the respondents was a computer and which was an actual human.)

Your initial post should be at least 150 words in length. Support your claims with examples from this week’s required material(s) and/or other scholarly resources, and properly cite any references. Respond to at least two of your classmates’ posts by Day 7.
