Hitler was said to be a very charismatic person whose rise to power became easy due to the period between WWI and WWII. The Germans needed someone to believe in that would help take the country to a more prosperous level and out of the depression. He made every promise there was to gain the support of the Germans. The people were desperate and hoped they would be lead to this glorious type promise land that Hitler proposed thru propaganda, promises of loyalty and the end to the Communist threat. Even those that would rather have not gone along with him did so out of fear and still hoped that they too would eventually prosper.  He gave hope to a country that had no hope.

Stalin had the power and the support of his people but his growing paranoia and the ability to trust those around lead him to eliminate anyone that he deemed a threat. Lenin and Marx beliefs were based on communism which would have lead the country to greatness but on the backs of others with few people owning the majority of productions. The citizens would have worked hard for next to nothing while the country prospered. Stalin decided not to follow this template and there for putting an end to the gain of international power in Russia.

omment about paragraph below:
Well I think the contemporary account is trying to get across that Hitler blame the Jewish for everything. Next it when the contemporary says “Hitler and his party had promised unhappy Germans a new heaven and new earth”,seems like Hitler was making promises for a great life so that every German can have nothing but the best. Hitler wanted this for the Germans but it seems like he had something in is his way and he thought the Jews where in his way, so the only way that he thought that he could get rid of them was to have the “persecution” of the Jews or kill them as stated on the contemporary. When people seen that he was making so much promises then they thought they maybe they could get out of this horrible mess they were in after world war 1 and he made the German people believe that the Jews were the main problem.

Hitler and all the leading nazis overestimated the power of the Jews.
