After the Civil War, the United States became a much more industrialized society. Between 1865 and 1920, industrialization improved American life in many ways. However, industrialization also created problems forAmerican society. Consider events that took place after the Civil War and discuss ways that industrializationaffectedthe U.S. between 1865 and 1920.

You have already developed a thesis statement and developed an outline in which you identify three main points relevant to your topic. Now you will develop the final paper in which you explore your main points in detail.

Write a three to five(3-5) page paper in which you:

  1. Introduce your paper with your previously crafted thesis statement.
  2. Identify three (3) major aspects of industrialization during 1865 and 1920 that influenced U.S. society, economy, and politics. Consider issues such as geography, entrepreneurship, legislative representation, etc. Explain your responses with specific examples and details.
  3. Identify three (3) specific groups that were affected by industrialization and provide two examples for each group describing how the group was affected. (Consider issues such as race, ethnicity, gender, child labor, etc.)
  4. Summarize how industrialization affected the life of the average working American during this period. Use specific examples and details.
  5. Use at least three (3) quality references. Note: Wikipedia and other Websites do not quality as academic resources.

Question that we are talking about.

Kozma et al. present a contemporary mathematical model of human behavior under some environmental constraints. How well does their model fit the human performance data? Is their solution algorithm blind overall to error reduction between input and associated output states or is it based on propagation or another Hebbian learning model?

SOC 203 Discussion

Education and Equality

The videos required for this discussion each touch on overlapping social problems. Although we will examine education, inequality, and race, each of which can be defined as a social problem or major component of larger social problems, the basis of our discussion is based on a simple argument:

  1. Education is an effective tool in our efforts to build a more equitable society.
  2. Therefore, equal educational opportunities must be available to all citizens.

In the video,
Affirmative Action vs. Cultural Diversity, Tom Brokaw asks: “How do we remedy the historic mistreatment of deserving black Americans without punishing deserving white Americans today?”

Our efforts to address the problems of racial inequality have been centered in on one of our most important social institutions – education. While the schools of this country are a local place to focus these efforts, can we fix one problem without creating another?

As always, we want more than your opinions. This question overlaps several chapters of our text, including an examination of education, race, and inequality. As such, we may see references to several chapters. We should also see evidence of additional research, properly cited, in support of positions offered in our responses.

Your initial post should be at least 250 words in length.

Unintended Behavior Change (6)

I have to answer 2 questions separately; each question needs to be at least 350 words.

Question #1

Provide an example of two different behavior change tactics (e.g., positive reinforcement, non-contingent reinforcement, negative punishment, etc.) where an unwanted behavior change might occur as a result of your treatment intervention.

Using behavior analytic terms, discuss the specific tactic that was used, the target behavior, and the unwanted behavior change.

How could you have planned for this differently?

Any ethical considerations to go along with each method of change which you described?

Question #2

Select a scholarly peer-reviewed research article where a behavior analytic procedure for change was used and an unintended behavior change occurred.

Did behavioral contrast effects occur in this study?

What could you have done differently to plan for any unwanted effects ahead of time?

Would you recommend a different behavior change tactic, and if so, which ones? Why?

Are there any ethical or practical considerations, which may be of issue in this study?
