Write a five to seven (5-7) page paper in which you address the following items for each observation separately.

  1. Provide the title of each instructional session, and summarize the content of each of the instructional sessions.
  2. Critique the overall effectiveness of each instructional session. Use your observation and evaluation notes from the “Teaching Observation Form” to provide a rationale for your critique.
  3. Assess the instructional strengths of each session. Provide a rationale for your assessment using examples from your observation.
  4. Assess the areas for improvement of each session. Provide a rationale for your assessment using examples from your observation.
  5. Compare and contrast the strengths and areas for improvement for the two (2) sessions observed.
  6. Based on your current or preferred career, specify two (2) concepts you can apply from this assignment.
  7. Assess your lessons learned from using the “Teaching Observation Form”. Suggest at least one (1) improvement in the form.
  8. Include the completed “Teaching Observation Forms” as an Appendix to your paper.

The form of the paper will be in the style of a “critical review essay.” 1500 words minimum. No maximum word limit. Standard margins, any font.

You must upload the paper to turnitin.com (in Course Materials outside of Weekly Folders).

You have three different options for the paper:

(1) Select ONE principal text from the short selected list.

(2) Select your own text (please notify me on your selection)

This paper is not a research, term paper. Rather, I expect you to read the text critically

and with attention to the argument. You will then apply what you have learned in class

or through other reading (always properly cite other sources) in engaging the historical

argument or interpretation of the book. This involves:

A. Describe the argument

B. What methods does the historian use?

C. Respond to the argument: do you agree? Why or why not?

D. What are the merits of the argument? What are its defects?

You may also wish to use additional sources such as a review article or an article which

bears on the subject. All sources must be cited and there must be a bibliography at the end of your paper.

The CEO of your selected organization has requested an enterprise security plan from your team. This week you will prioritize the threats and vulnerabilities previously identified, and determine which need attention and which may be left for another time. This is done by determining the probability of the risk and the potential impact it may have on the organization. Your objective is to address the risks with the highest probability of happening, with the highest impact on the organization.

Extend your table from Week Two to include columns for Probability of Risk and Impact of Risk on the organization. Include mitigation steps of the top 20 pairs.

Part 1

Fill out the final three columns in the table from the previous week.

Rate the probability and impact of each vulnerability-threat pair as High, Medium, or Low. (These are independent of each other.)

Rank the pairs in the order they should be addressed by the organization. (High/High rows will be at the top and Low/Low rows at the bottom.) The team will have to decide where to rank rows which are not at these extremes.

Suggest specific mitigation steps to take for the top 20 rows. You will go into more detail for the final project due in Week Five.

  • Describe how the team finally ranked the pairs and the reasoning behind the suggested mitigation steps.

“Lizardo vs Denny Inc.”

Two corrections officers were employed as security personnel at Denny’s Restaurant.
After a member of an Asian American group complained about the delay in being
seated, one of the officers escorted the complaining Asian American out of the
restaurant and threatened to arrest him for disorderly conduct. A series of fights erupted
outside the restaurant between the Asian American group and other restaurant patrons.
A group of African Americans also waiting to be seated went outside to observe the
argument. One of them went back inside and while describing the outside commotion,
used an expletive. After the restaurant manager warned the African American group to
be quiet or leave, the officers escorted them out of the restaurant. Members of both
groups sued Denny’s Restaurant and the security personnel for excluding them from the
restaurant because of race in violation of 42 U.S.C. § 1983, a constitutional tort. The court
held that the officers were acting in their official capacity as officers of the state when
escorting the Asian Americans out of the restaurant and threatening to arrest them for
disorderly conduct. Thus, Denny’s could not be held liable for the official acts of
government officers. The court also determined, however, that Denny’s could be held
liable for the conduct of the security personnel in escorting the African Americans out of
the restaurant at the urging of the store manager because that conduct was within the
