Signature Assignment: Methods of Targeting and Retargeting

Signature/Benchmark Assignments are designed to align with specific program student learning outcome(s) in your program. Program Student Learning Outcomes are broad statements that describe what students should know and be able to do upon completion of their degree. Signature/Benchmark Assignments are graded with a grading guide or an automated rubric that allows the University to collect data that can be aggregated across a location or college/school and used for course/program improvements.

Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word paper in which you analyze targeting and retargeting practices.

Select one of the examples from your Week 4 individual paper in which the organization was able to use digital analytics and/or competitive intelligence to identify behaviors and predict opportunities within a targeted segment.

Describe behaviors that make the target segment unique.

Select a type of targeting as well as an online marketing communications channel through which the organization can best reach its targeted audience and differentiate itself from competitors.

Evaluate types of retargeting, including methods that are useful and ethical to use within this particular target market.

Include a reference page with a minimum of three references, including the course textbook.

Format your paper consistent with APA guidelines.

learned about mental health courts. As this is a
relatively new innovation, their effectiveness is still being studied. A number
of interesting questions have arisen from this development, including those
which comprise this week’s discussion assignment:

·Is it important for participation in a
mental health court to be voluntary on the part of the offender, or should the
prosecutor be able to direct a case to mental health court?

·What are some of the unintended negative
consequences of having one’s case diverted through a mental health court as
opposed to normal processing in criminal court? For instance, it might be
possible that having a “mental health” issue on record could prevent the
offender from applying for certain jobs in the future. What other negative
effects might result?

·Clearly, a serious mental disorder such as
schizophrenia would justify the special treatment accorded by mental health
courts and treatment programs. What other conditions should be included in this
protocol? For instance, should drug addiction be considered a “mental illness”
for the purposes of determining whether to divert a criminal case to mental
health court?

·Last, is it fair to the victim of the crime
to have the case diverted away from traditional trial and punishment? Should
the victim have input into the decision to divert a case?

Interpersonal essay

The final project paper is directly linked to all three of the student learning outcomes for this course. It will allow you to demonstrate familiarity with research and thought in the field of interpersonal communication, analyze your own relationships using concepts of interpersonal communication, and demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills in various contexts.

Instructions: For this paper, please think about an interpersonal relationship you are currently in (such as a friendship, romantic relationship, work relationship, family relationship, etc.). You will analyze your relationship using the interpersonal communication theories, concepts, and skills we have learned about throughout the semester. In your paper, you will discuss a relational conflict or challenge (such as an argument, transgression, break-up, etc.). Please analyze your relationship and the conflict by applying at least two theories, two concepts, and two skills using any of the chapters from our textbook. When applying the skills, think about what skill you used or could have used to effectively manage the conflict (for example: perception-checking statements, assertive “I” statements, self-monitoring, etc.).

You will also need to cite two library sources for this paper. Your book should be used for the majority of the paper, but two library sources are also required (such as books or journal articles). Make sure you cite your library sources at the end of your paper (bibliography) and throughout the paper (in-text or parenthetical citations) in MLA or APA format.

Make sure you include the following in your paper:

  • Brief description of the relationship you chose to write about
  • Brief description of the relational conflict/challenge you faced in this relationship
  • Application of 2 theories from any chapters in the book
  • Application of 2 concepts from any chapters in the book
  • Application of 2 skills from any chapters in the book
  • Application and citation of 2 library sources (book or journal article)

Your final project paper should be 4 pages, typed, double-spaced, size 12 font, with one inch margins all around, and in essay format. DO NOT just list answers (it should be in essay format). Submit your paper here on Canvas by 10:00A.M. on the due date.

PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS, I MUST COMPLETE A PEER REVIEW ON THE BELOW. Thanks
Please demonstrate critical thinking abilities. No fewer than 250 words for post. Do not summarize the post and/or course concept(s), but perhaps comment on concepts directly applicable to your workplace.
For this response, should outside sources be used to support the content within the postings, proper in-text citations and correctly formatted references should be prepared consistent with the APA (6th edition). The list of references should be physically positioned at the end of the postings.
1. What are the requirements of the employer under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 when making selection decisions? Do they differ any if the employee declares he/she has a disability?
“The ADA prohibits the use of qualification standards, employment tests, or selection criteria that tend to screen out individuals with disabilities unless the standard is job-related and consistent with business necessity. Specifically, section 102 states that tests must be selected and administered to ensure that “test results accurately reflect the skills, aptitude, or whatever other factor…that such test purports to measure, rather than reflecting [impairment]” (Gatewood, Field, & Barrick, 2011, p. 31). The employer is responsible for giving the persons applying enough information concerning the test to make a decision on whether accommodations are required to complete the test. Additionally, “preemployment inquiries about a person’s disability” is also prohibited by the ADA (Gatewood, Field, & Barrick, 2011, p. 31). The ADA Act of 1990 also requires employers “to provide reasonable accommodation to qualified individuals with disabilities who are employees or applicants of employment, unless to do so would cause undue hardship” (Commission, 2002).
If an employee/applicant declares he/she has a disability, there should not be a change in the requirements that the employer has. Making accommodations based on a declaration could cause issues and raise questions about whether the test is valid and how the accommodated and non-accommodated test should be compared. “For example, a written test that is usually self-administered might have to be read to a severely sight-impaired applicant” (Gatewood, Field, & Barrick, 2011, p. 31). The concerns are whether both tests measure the same KSAs, and, “reliability, validity, and norms of the test could be significantly altered due to an accommodation” (Gatewood, Field, & Barrick, 2011, p. 31).

Creating an Argument: The Electoral College, homework help

This week we learned about the presidency, the powers of the presidency, and the unique way our president is elected via the Electoral College. In this assignment you will be guided in creating a complete argument regarding whether or not you think the Electoral College should be kept or eliminated.

This activity will be useful practice in how to create and present and thoughtful argument. The ability to create and communicate a thoughtful argument will help you out in future studies and in any career.

Your essay must be at least 500 words long.

Follow these steps to create an argument in the form of an essay:

Step 1: In one or two very clear sentences state whether or not you think the Electoral College should be kept or eliminated. This is called writing a thesis statement.

Step 2: In three paragraphs describing three (3) arguments that support your position regarding the Electoral College. Give each argument one paragraph. Do not just list three arguments in support of your position regarding the Electoral College. You must tell the reader why each of your three arguments supports your position on the Electoral College.

Step 3: In three paragraphs describe three (3) arguments that go against your position regarding the Electoral College. This is called addressing counterarguments. Give each counterargument one paragraph. Describe the counterargument and then tell the reader of your essay why that counterargument should be dismissed.

Step 4: Write one paragraph concluding your essay. Restate your initial position on the Electoral College. And review the one or two arguments that you found to be the most compelling in support of your position.

Step 5: Write a reference list. In any good argument you will present your ideas but then include evidence from credible external sources to support your ideas. Always include a reference list.

In outline form your paper should look like this.

  1. Introduction: Thesis statement of your position regarding the Electoral College.
  2. Three arguments supporting your position.
    1. Describe argument 1 and why it supports your position.
    2. Describe argument 2 and why it supports your position.
    3. Describe argument 3 and why it supports your position.
  3. Three counter arguments opposing your position.
    1. Describe counter argument 1 and why it is not sufficient.
    2. Describe counter argument 2 and why it is not sufficient.
    3. Describe counter argument 3 and why it is not sufficient.
  4. Conclusion paragraph.

Please note: APA formatting and citations rules apply to this and all essays in this course.

As with all weekly written assignments, submit your work as an attached file. Double-space your paper and use 12 point Times New Roman as your font.
