Literature Review
Prior to beginning work on this assignment, read the Ryder, Ban, & Chentsova-Dutton (2011) “Towards a Cultural-Clinical Psychology,” American Psychological Association (2014) “Guidelines for Prevention in Psychology,” Hage, et al. (2007) “Walking the Talk: Implementing the Prevention Guidelines and Transforming the Profession of Psychology,” and Rivera-Mosquera, et al. (2007) “Prevention Activities in Professional Psychology: A Reaction to the Prevention Guidelines” articles.
Clinical and counseling psychology is a dynamic field that is constantly evolving and striving toward better treatment options and modalities. In this literature review, you will explore and integrate psychological research into a literature review, addressing current trends in three major areas of clinical and counseling psychology: assessment, clinical work, and prevention.
In your review, include the following headings, and address the required content.
Assessment
Support this section with information from the Ryder et al. (2011) article “Towards a Cultural-Clinical Psychology” and at least one additional peer-reviewed article from the Ashford University Library.
•Compare the assessments currently in use by clinical and counseling psychologists.
•Explain the trend towards cultural-clinical psychology and the suitability of clinical assessments with diverse clients.
Clinical work
Support this section using a minimum of three peer-reviewed articles from the Ashford University Library. The recommended articles for this week may be useful in generating your response.
•Compare and contrast technical eclecticism, assimilative integration and theoretical integration.
•Provide a historical context and identify the major theorists for each perspective.
•Assess the trends in psychotherapy integration.
•List three pros and cons for each perspective, sharing which perspective most closely aligns with your own.

Prevention
Review the “Guidelines for Prevention in Psychology” (American Psychological Association, 2014), and support this section with information from the Hage, et al. (2007) “Walking the Talk: Implementing the Prevention Guidelines and Transforming the Profession of Psychology,” and Rivera-Mosquera, et al. (2007) “Prevention Activities in Professional Psychology: A Reaction to the Prevention Guidelines” articles.
•Describe general prevention strategies implemented by clinical and counseling psychologists at the micro, meso, exo, and macro levels.

Chapter 12 Problem 3

Consider the project contained in Problem 7 in Chapter 11 (California Health Center).

a. Perform a sensitivity analysis to see how NPV is affected by changes in the number of procedures per day, average collection amount, and salvage value. Remember supplies vary with number of procedures.

Salvage Value change.Changing the Net Operating Income to include a salvage value of $100,000=$229,247.NPV=$38,290.35. To determine this, I changed the after tax equipment salvage value, using the pre tax amount, $100,000 + the MACRS value at year 5 ($36,0000)-40% tax($81,600) and plugged it into the equation above into an excel spreadsheet to determine the NPV

b. Conduct a scenario analysis. Suppose that the hospital’s staff concluded that the three most uncertain variables were number of procedures per day, average collection amount, and the equipment’s salvage value. Furthermore, the following data were developed:

c. Finally, assume that California Health Center’s average project has a coefficient of variation of NPV in the range of 1.0 – 2.0. (Hint: Coefficient of variation is defined as the standard deviation of NPV divided by the expected NPV.) The hospital adjusts for risk by adding or subtracting 3 percentage points to its 10 percent corporate cost of capital. After adjusting for differential risk, is the project still profitable?

d. What type of risk was measured and accounted for in Parts b. and c.? Should this be of concern to the hospital’s managers?

• What constitutional amendment(s) are typically the focus when issues are raised with corrections and correctional policies and practices? Explain.
• What are the amendment(s) designed to do? Explain.
• Describe and discuss the specific provisions of the amendment(s) as they relate to corrections.
• Assess whether current correctional policies do enough to protect the civil rights of inmates. Identify a particular contemporary issue, such as searches of inmates or their cells, or the provision of health care services within institutions, or policies around solitary confinement.
• Do correctional policies do enough, or should policies do more to protect civil liberties? Why or why not? Explain in detail.
• Court opinions represent one of the best sources of information regarding this particular task. You can also find white papers published by correctional policy organizations, and law review articles can also provide you with valuable information.

Assume that you are a marketing manager for Coca-Cola Corporation. In past years you have noticed that in the summer months, when consumers tend to be more weight conscious, sales of regular Diet Coke are lost to one of your competitors, Diet 7-Up. Focus group interviews conducted during the past winter indicate that in the summer people tend to associate clear soft-drinks with slender figures. Your boss has come to you with two ideas for preventing the erosion of market share of regular Diet Coke this coming summer:

(1) Create and show an appropriate television advertising campaign prior to and during the summer.

(2) Put a coupon in each 6-pack of regular Diet Coke that can be used to get a free 6‑pack of regular Diet Coke when 5 coupons have been collected.

Of the two ideas, which would you recommend? State it clearly at the beginning of your answer; then briefly explain why that approach is superior to the other. Use good details to support your answer.
