International Strategy and Mode of Entry

Read: Whitford, D., & Burke, D. (2011). Inside the quiet giant that rules the food businessFortune, 164(7), 164-182.

Cargill’s CEO says, “…we don’t say, ‘We think the world’s going to look like this, let’s define our strategy for that world.’ We say, ‘We don’t know what the world’s going to look like. We need a strategy or a set of strategies that can be successful almost irrespective of what the world looks like” (para 18).

Notice the case of Cargill in Vietnam.  Explain in specific detail which international strategy the organization has adopted and the likely reasons why it used this strategy. Describe the mode of entry and its effectiveness (or ineffectiveness) in this situation, and finally, judge whether the company can continue to be successful with this strategy and mode of entry.

Instructions:

  • Your response should be 2-3 pages, well written, and formatted per APA Guidelines. Cite at least 2 credible sources in addition to your textbook that illustrate or support your points.   Also support your response with references to the textbook.
  • Be sure to use proper punctuation, spelling and grammar; points will be deducted accordingly.
  • Make sure to visit the company’s Website to learn more about it.

survey article review in marketing research

this week’s discussion will take us beyond Google. Many of our data sources have been found using Google. While this is helpful, it is not comprehensive. Sometimes a marketing researcher may need to know if similar studies have been completed and see what the outcomes of those studies were. This brings us to using academic databases.

For this discussion, you will need to 1) find an academic article that reported some kind of research results. It can be on any topic but it needs to have been published in the last five years. Then, you need to 2) summarize the article in 2-3 paragraphs. Provide detail about what you think is important about the article. To complete the discussion, after your summary 3) cite the article using proper APA formatting (make sure it was cited and referenced). This will allow you to practice for your final report. Many databases will provide you with the APA citation, but some do not format it correctly; be cautious of this.

To find your article, use one of the library’s business databases http://libguides.msubillings.edu/az.php.

the article i have chosen is this: http://web.a.ebscohost.com.proxybl.lib.montana.edu/ehost/pdfviewer/pdfviewer?vid=4&sid=bf0645cd-7eb9-45a3-b9fe-b4292b8ccfed%40sessionmgr4007

Did Jim and Laura Buy a Car?, assignment help (Chapter 10-14)

I need to elaborate more on this paper, so everything can make sense.  Here are the instructions for the paper

Did Jim and Laura Buy a Car?
Worth 200 points

HINT: See Chapters 10-14 of the text to help understand some of the legal issues covered in this assignment.

Jim and Laura Buyer visit the local car dealership because they are
interested in buying a new car. The car they currently have is aging and
is starting to have mechanical problems. Jim and Laura would share the
new car, and use it to go back and forth to work and school. Before
going to the dealership, Jim and Laura decide that they can only afford
$400.00 a month in car payments.

Once at the car dealership, Jim and Laura meet Stan Salesman. Stan
shows them several vehicles and Jim and Laura test-drive several of the
cars. Jim and Laura particularly like the blue 4-door sedan.  Therefore,
they agree to give Stan Salesman a $100.00 deposit to hold the car for a
day. Stan Salesman does not give them the receipt but guarantees that
the $100.00 is refundable. No documents were signed.

The next day, Stan Salesman calls Jim and Laura to ask them when they
would like to take delivery of the car. Jim and Laura, on the way home
from the dealership, decided that they were not going to buy the car
because they did not want to spend that money each month. Therefore, Jim
and Laura tell Stan salesman that they have decided not to buy the car
and request their $100.00 deposit back.

Stan insists that the $100.00 was a deposit on the car and was meant
to be part of the contract to buy the car. Stan is very persistent and
insistent that Jim and Laura have contracted to buy the car; therefore,
the $100.00 will be applied to the purchase price of the car. Jim and
Laura are shocked and angry as not only do they not want to spend the
money, but now feel as though they are being duped by Stan Salesman.

Jim and Laura have an appointment to see a lawyer in a few days, but
know you are a student taking a business law class and come to you for
advice. They are very frazzled, and understandably upset that they may
have just purchased a car. Since you have been taking business law, you
have read and understand the elements of a contract and the defenses to a
contract. Therefore, although you are not a lawyer, you provide some
basic advice from what you’ve learned in your business law class.

In three to five (3-5) pages, advise Jim and Laura based on the above
facts as presented, the material provided in the text, and material
covered in the lecture. In your paper, be sure to address the following:

  1. Define the elements of a legal contract using examples from the scenario where applicable.
  2. Decide whether or not there was a contract for the purchase of the automobile.
  3. Identify the facts from the scenario which support your decision on
whether or not a contract exists for the purchase of the automobile.
  4. Use at least two (2) quality academic resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and other Websites do not qualify as quality academic resources.
  5. Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
    • Typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
    • Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the
student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date.
The cover page is not included in the required page length.
    • Include a reference page. Citations and references must follow APA
format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.

Discussion: Cardiovascular Disorders

Discussion: Cardiovascular Disorders

Veins and arteries are vital elements of the cardiovascular system. They carry the blood supply through the body and are essential for proper function. Sometimes veins and arteries malfunction, resulting in cardiovascular disorders. Malfunctions of arteries and veins are similar to malfunctions of a water hose. Consider the structure and function of a hose. A tap releases water, which then travels through the hose and comes out the other end. If the hose has been dormant for several months, dirt and rusty particles might build up inside, resulting in a restricted flow of water. Similarly, buildup of plaque inside the coronary arteries restricts blood flow and leads to disorders such as coronary heart disease. This disease is one of the most common cardiovascular disorders, and according to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (2011), is the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States. In this Discussion, you examine the pathophysiology of cardiovascular disorders such as coronary heart disease.

To Prepare

  • Review this week’s media presentation on alterations of cardiovascular functions, as well as Chapter 24 in the Huether and McCance text. Identify the pathophysiology of cardiovascular disorders.
  • Select one patient factor: genetics, gender, ethnicity, age, or behavior. Consider how the factor you selected might impact the pathophysiology of cardiovascular disorders.
  • Select one of the following alterations of cardiovascular disorders: peripheral arterial disease, myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, or dysrhythmia. Think about how hypertension or dyslipidemia can lead to the alteration you selected.

By Day 3

Post a description of the pathophysiology of cardiovascular disorders, including how the factor you selected might impact the pathophysiology. Then, explain how hypertension or dyslipidemia can lead to the alteration you selected for patients with the factor you identified.

Demonstrate the ability to follow directions, use Excel to create a professional document, and become responsible for calculating your grade in the course.

Excel Worksheet Directions

Objectives: Demonstrate the ability to follow directions, use Excel to create a professional document, and become responsible for calculating your grade in the course.

This assignment does not provide an example. You will not be given examples at work and you will need to follow directions, either written or oral. I am not looking for “perfect” spreadsheet. Just that you follow the directions and get the basics correct.

Why: You will use Excel to present numerical information in your job no matter what your major or job. It is a good skill to have: to be able to prepare a professional looking Excel document. You never want to make more work for your boss if they are trying to read a document.

You will use the BbLearn grade book as a source for information to input the assignment names, your points, and the points possible into the Excel worksheet. Use the template provided to start the project as it has several required titles and column headers. When inputting the assignment names ask yourself if the names look nice, if you can put something in the section header rather repeat in every assignment name to make the names more visually appealing and easier to see which one goes with which chapter.

The worksheet should be professional, visually balanced on the sheet, and easy to follow. Where there are subtotals, totals, and percentages, use formulas. Below are specific items that I expect to see. Use proper capitalization where appropriate. I realize “professional” is a subjective term. I suggest preparing the assignment as if it were being submitted to the dean of the FCB. Some color is okay as well as little different font but keep it tame. Bright, neon color usually isn’t considered professional. Let’s go with usual for this assignment

NOTE: Your total points possible may not match BbLearn. If you did not do an assignment in BbLean/MindTap, BbLearn puts a “-“ in your points earned. If that is the case, BbLearn may not record the points possible for that assignment either. I think that issue is fixed now but just in case, I wanted to mention it.

See the rubric to see how the worksheet will be graded. This will show you the points associated with each of the following items.

Follow these directions CAREFULLY. Seriously. Don’t read half way and start doing things.

1.Center all worksheet titles over all columns that have information. You will need to merge the cells in the rows to do this. An example of a worksheet title would be “Balance Sheet”. It tells the reader what the sheet is about.

2.Format the all worksheet titles in an attractive, professional manner. Change the font and other formatting as you see fit. Titles should be different from the rest of the text in the worksheet.

3.Center the column headers and format them nicely by changing the font or using other font changes.

4.Enter assignment names, your points, and points possible in the spreadsheet. Group all similar assignments together with a section header and a subtotal. Use the table in our syllabus as a guide for how the assignments should be grouped. Please do not group by week.

5.All numbers should be right aligned in the cells and all text (excluding titles and headers) should be left aligned in the cells. Treat any assignments that use dates in the name as text and left align these.

6.Widen column A to fit the assignment names (not the worksheet titles). If it doesn’t fit well (meaning that the column is super wide and looks unbalanced on the page), use the text wrap functionality and adjust the row height accordingly. Please Google the wrap function or use the Excel help function. It will take only a moment. Also consider abbreviating the words. Better yet put words that appear in each description in the section header. For example, don’t put “MindTap Chapter 8 Homework, MindTap Chapter 9 Homework” and so on in each row for the section. Put “MindTap Homework” in the section header and then just put “Chapter 8, Chapter 9” and so on in the rows below.

7.Format all numbers with the same number of decimal places, being sure to not cut off any numbers. This means that if I know the assignment is worth 22.5 points, don’t show 22 points. If one assignment in entire column has two decimal places, the whole column should have two decimal places. NOTE: BbLearn does dumb things and shows out to the fourth, fifth, and sixth decimal place. Only go to TWO decimal places please.

8.Format cells with subtotals with a line at the top of the cell with the subtotal. Do not underline words – only cells with numbers. DO not us underline – use borders.

9.For the CPAs, review the syllabus and evaluate if you will meet the minimum and allocate points as appropriate. If you have the passed the minimum CPAs (8) then you will include 10 points for each CPA passed up to 10 CPAs. If you anticipate passing all 11 CPAs, then you will have 90 points for CPAs as shown in the points possible table in the syllabus and 20 extra credit points for the two extra CPAs. If you have not missed or failed any you can assume that you will have the minimum required to earn 10 points per CPA. If you have missed three CPAs, factor that into your points estimate on the Excel worksheet.

10.Include totals at the bottom of both columns. Do not use the total possible for the class. Only the totals for the assignments completed to date.

11.For cells with totals (not subtotals), format the cell with a line at the top of the cell and a double underline at the bottom of the cell. Do not underline words – only cells with numbers.

12.Include a percentage calculation at the bottom of the page, under the points possible total. The number should be formatted as a percentage with two decimal places showing (i.e., 88.88%). Do not include a percentage for every assignment – just your overall grade. We just want to see your overall percent for the class to see what your grade in the class is at that time.

13.If you would like to add other formatting, that is fine. Just be sure the document looks professional. Ask yourself if you would present it to the CEO of IBM. I like fun stuff but we are learning to be professional so don’t make it fun for Dunfee – think CEO of IBM.

14.Center the entire document horizontally. Use the “page set up” function, access the margins tab, and in the lower left is a checkbox to center horizontally. This will allow the document to be centered on the page when you print, which is what you want in presenting a professional document.

15.Include all assignments that have been graded to date or would have been graded based on the due date (maybe you missed an assignment). If you know you did an assignment and don’t see a grade, now is a great time to pop me an email in BbLearn and let me know. I can check it out.

Business Ethic Project

Instructions

This assignment provides you with an opportunity to create a code of ethics for you and your family, as well as to explain the strategies and thought processes that went into developing the code. First, create an original code of ethics for your family by thinking about your family as an organization. In your code of ethics, please include the following items:

  • guiding principles,
  • purpose of the code,
  • core values,
  • training and education (How will you train and educate others about the code?),
  • definitions,
  • who it covers,
  • mission statement, and
  • other pertinent elements you feel necessary to have a comprehensive code of ethics.

The next part of this assignment involves an evaluation, where you describe the thought process behind the code of ethics that you prepared. For the evaluation part of this assignment, draft an essay to include the following items:

  • Identify the key roles of those who have a vested interest in the ethical behavior that your code defines.
  • Explain the strategies and thought processes that you used to formulate the code.
  • Explain how you would strategically implement and communicate the code to others in the organization.
  • Explain how you will monitor the practice of ethical decision-making.
  • Provided that laws exist and have been enacted for resolving conflict, why do we also need a code of ethics?

In the process of writing your code, you must research the topic of codes of ethics and incorporate at least two articles, no older than five years. Your code and evaluation must be at least 1,000 words. Format the code as you like; however, be sure it is professional and legible. Format the evaluation part of the assignment by using APA Style. Save both parts in one Word document,

THE MISMEASURE OF MAN book review

You will be required to write a 3-5 page academic review of a Ethnography. A list of ethnographies
will be available on brightspace. Be sure to choose your ethnography within the first week of class.
An academic review is not simply a summary of the written work. You must read the ethnography,
summarize the research, and demonstrate an understanding of how the author’s work fits within the
wider framework of anthropological theory. You must use at least 3 sources other than your chosen
ethnography. You are to cite in APA format with in-text citations of the author’s last name followed by
the year of publication. You must provide a works cited page at the end. Website sources are not
permitted.

Special Problems and Challenges and the future of Policing in America, law homework help

Modern law enforcement operations and strategies are driven by best practices in the areas of data collection and manipulation, addressing special populations, and preventing organized criminal activities. A tremendous amount of specialization has evolved in today’s sphere of policing, especially among federal, state, and local agencies. Perhaps, what is most evident is how the law enforcement agencies of the federal government have retooled to meet today’s challenge of terrorism. Use your textbook, the Internet, and / or library to research credible sources on the aforementioned issues as they relate to law enforcement operations and management. Write a five to seven (5-7) page paper in which you: 1. Identify and describe the major functions of the four (4) agencies of the Department of Justice. Of the four agencies, provide a rationale for which agency you feel has the greatest responsibility as it relates to federal law enforcement. 2. Explain the purposes if the Uniform Crime Reports (UCR) and the National Crime Information Center (NCIC). Identify and discuss the various weaknesses related to the accuracy of the Uniform Crime Report (UCR). 3. Describe the major roles of police executive using the Mintzberg model of chief executives. Of the executive roles described in the model, provide a rationale for which role you feel is the most important for a chief executive officer’s success. 4. Examine two (2) legislative enactments that are in place to help combat terrorism. Provide your opinion on the difference of these enactments in regards to combating terrorism. 5. Analyze the problems related to determining the actual numbers of hate crimes and what makes the hate crimes different from other crimes. 6. Use at least four (4) quality references including the textbooks. Note: Wikipedia and other Websites do not qualify as academic resources.

SOCW6333: Discussion – Ethical Responsibility (wk5)

Due 3/25/2019

The ethical guidelines stipulate how helping professionals must conduct themselves when working with clients to avoid legal and ethical violations. They also include information regarding the ethical responsibility of addressing professional impairment. For example, a duty to warn refers to notifying a person or authorities if a client or student is a danger to themselves or to someone else. A duty to warn also means that if an impaired professional is unable to treat effectively and places a client or student at risk for harm, appropriate persons or authorities must be notified.

For this Discussion, select one of the scenarios provided and analyze the potential for professional impairment as it relates to vicarious trauma. In addition, think about your ethical responsibility in addressing the impairment as a helping professional.

  • Post your brief description of the scenario you selected.
  • Then explain at least one possible impairment exhibited by the practitioner due to vicarious trauma and the impact it may have on the helping or treatment process.
  • Then, as a helping professional, explain how you might address the impairment. Be specific and provide examples referencing your professional code of ethics.

Nurse Educator Competencies: Creating an Evidence-Based Practice for Nurse Educators, health and medicine homework help

After reading chapter 5 in Nurse Educator Competencies: Creating an Evidence-Based Practice for Nurse Educators, reflect on Competency 4 – Participate in Curriculum Design and Evaluation of Program Outcomes and the associated behaviors as related to your practicum experience. How are you meeting, or how will you meet, this competency in your practicum? Are there behaviors that you have not thought about, but need to include in your teaching? How are you meeting, or what do you need to do to meet, this competency as you move through your practicum? If this competency is something that you will not have an opportunity to complete in your practicum experience, how might you meet it if you have a position as an educator in any setting?
