1) Identify what you thought was the one most important concept(s), method(s), and/or specific item that you felt was worthy of your understanding from the Key

2) Discuss in detail what the selected term means, how it is used and other pertinent information about the selected term including a specific example, application or case study from your own experience. Be specific; not vague or general.

2 long paragraphs

It has been said that once you leave home, you can never return. In Laura Esquivel’s novel, Like Water for Chocolate, all three daughters leave home and return. However, the impacts of leaving and returning are different for each young woman. What makes the difference? Have you been profoundly impacted by leaving your home (parent’s home, community, home country) and returning? If so, what made the difference for you and allowed you to grow?

Note: You are expected to write a well thought out response of at least 2 paragraphs. Please keep in mind that this is not a text or Tweet. As such, you should spell out words and write using complete sentences. If you can, make connections between the novel and the short stories.

I want you to rewrite my experience and impact to connect it to the story

So my impact is:

I’m an international student, I love arts in all kinds, I used to live in Saudi Arabia and now I in United States for college. At first my goal was to get my architecture degree and then go home and start working. However coming to the US had changed me a lot opened my eyes more on things I couldn’t see. The first impact I was expecting oh going to college normal life I wake start my day with breakfast and go to my classes. But no It has a lot of temptation, I struggled a lot emotionally physically I cried a lot laughed a lot But I love it. And that changed my goal instead of going home I wanted to work in a different country start from 0 and not only relying on my architecture major to be the only goal. Coming here made me appreciate the struggles the experiences and that giving up isn’t an option, with all those I want to combine these things and the architecture designing skills to make many types of art like digital visuals and fashion.

arguments in writing

This assignment has two parts.

Part A: Arguments

You learned that arguments state claims and give reasons to accept the claim. You also learned to distinguish arguments from non-arguments such as reports, illustrations, explanations, conditional statements, and unsupported assertions. For each of the following statements, decide if it is or is not an argument. If it is not an argument, identify the type of non-argument it is and explain your answer.

It was cold this morning and my car wouldn’t start. Also, the battery is weak.

Every day we make decisions, both small and large. For example, in the drugstore you have to decide which shampoo is the best buy.

Part B: Premises and Conclusion

Arguments consist of a claim and a reason or reasons to accept the claim. The claim is referred to as a “conclusion” and the reason/s are referred to as “premise/s.” In the following arguments, identify the premise/s and the conclusion.

Here is an example:

You must be at least 18 years old to vote. Mike is under 18. Therefore, Mike cannot vote.

Use this format for your answer:

Premise: You must be at least 18 years old to vote.

Premise: Mike is under 18.

Conclusion: Mike cannot vote.

Employment at will contracts

Yasmine works as an administrative assistant at Paint Works. Paint Works is a manufacturer and distributor of commercial paint. One day while taking a walk outside during lunch, Yasmine noticed one of her colleagues, Henry, dumping chemicals into the stream that flowed behind one of the company storage facilities. She looked over at Harry in a disapproving way, and Harry explained that he had been instructed to dump waste into the stream. Yasmine was terribly upset about seeing this stream polluted so she called the Environmental Protection Agency. The next week, the Environmental Protection Agency visited the facility and served Paint Works with a violation. Sarah, the owner of Paint Works began asking employees about how the EPA knew about the disposal of the paint. Henry told Sarah that he believed it was Yasmine because she saw him disposing of paint into the creek the previous week. The next day, Yasmine was fired for no reason. When Yasmine questioned Sarah about why she was terminated, Sarah told her that she could fire her for any reason at all because of employment at will laws and she refused to provide Yasmine with a reason for her termination. Yasmine believes that her rights have been violated.

Your law firm has agreed to represent Yasmine in this case. Your job is to draft a letter to her that addresses each of the following:

  • Discuss what employment at will means and further explain what her rights are in this case based on case law and current statutes.
  • Discuss whether or not Paint Works can fire Yasmine for any reason at all and tell her whether or not she has a strong case against her employer.
  • Are there any exceptions to the employment at will doctrine that would apply to this case?
  • Remember that the letter will be drafted by you on behalf of your supervising attorney.
  • Using the Rasmussen library and appropriate resources, use a minimum of 3 credible sources such as scholarly journal articles to support your letter. Be sure to cite your resources and include an APA title page and references page.

organization change

Two principle impediments to
effective and lasting organizational change are structures and systems
within the organization. In other words, for change to become a part of
an organization, managers often have to change the formal and informal
structures of an organization to better support the change initiative.

For this Discussion Question, find an organization in KSA that
completed a change in their organization within the last three years.
Discuss how they changed or modified their formal and informal
structures and systems to ensure the intended change became a part of
the organization’s culture. Then discuss how the organization used
structures and systems to deal with the uncertainty and complexity in
the environment? Was this an appropriate response?

How could the existing structures and systems have been approached
and used differently to advance the desired change? How did existing
structures and systems affect the ability of the change leader to bring
about the desired change?

  • Use APA style guidelines
  • 4-6 paragraphs
  • 2-3 refrences and refrence inside the text

Religulous

Watch the documentary Religulous (it is available on Hulu). Then answer the following questions:

What are your initial reactions to the film? Did any specific parts surprise you, or change your view?

At one point in the film Maher dresses up like a homeless man and starts preaching the doctrines of Scientology in a park. The people in the crowd think he’s crazy. What’s Maher’s larger point, and is it a valid criticism of religion?

Maher also mentions that he knows not “needing” religion is a reflection of his privilege in society. What does he mean by this? Do you agree with his sentiment? Why or why not?

Worst case scenario

What’s the Worst That Could Happen? (25 points)

This is a question you should (and will be) asking yourself as you take on a security officer role. Quite honestly, this statement could become your undoing if you do not think it through or try to avoid answering such a question; however, the extreme “voice of doom” is not one you will be visiting very often. You should be evaluating the possible circumstances and ask yourself the above question as it pertains to something that could happen, such as a fire or user error.

For this exercise, you should think about a local company (one which you work or have worked) or a fake marketing firm in Kansas City Missouri. Ask yourself this question as you think through what they have and what could be lost. Think of a minimum of 7 threats to this network (one for each of the 7 IT Infrastructure Domains [pg.7]) and describe “What’s the Worst That Could Happen?” if these threats came true. For the threats, you should think of 5 within the realm of possibility and 2 on the fringe of possibilities.

Organize this response as an APA formatted paper. For each threat, you should write at least one paragraph responding to the question to each threat.

Course Outcomes Assessed:

1. Identify and define risk and risk management techniques.

5. Identify and evaluate threats, vulnerabilities, countermeasures, and mitigation recommendations.

Minimum 3 peer reviewed articles for reference.

Paper must include- abstract, introduction , content/body, conclusion, references
