You may choose to use a qualitative study that was included in the literature review you used in the Week One assignment by searching the reference list for qualitative research studies on the topic. It is also acceptable to utilize a qualitative research study on your topic that was not included in your literature review.

Once you have located an appropriate qualitative study, identify the specific qualitative research design used. Summarize the main points of the study including information on the research question, sampling strategy, research design, data analysis method(s), findings, and conclusion(s). Evaluate the published qualitative research study focusing on and identifying the researcher’s paradigm or worldview and any evidence of reflexivity described in the report. Assignment: The Intersections of Life: Coming of Age

Assignment: The Intersections of Life: Coming of Age

The first image depicts a group of smiling graduates in graduation gowns holding their graduation caps aloft. The image depicts a young African girl praying with prayer beads in her folded hands.Experiencing the transition from childhood to adulthood, or coming of age, is a human universal. How these rites of passage happen, however, varies widely from culture to culture. The ceremonies announce societal values through carefully preserved, meaningful symbols. Similarly, coming of age rituals convey the responsibilities of the adult individual in a particular community or culture and mark the beginning of the next stage of life.

This Assignment provides an opportunity to research coming of age experiences from several different cultures. You are also encouraged to research additional examples of the transition to adulthood to better understand the values inherent in the rituals and what that means to the culture. Increasing the understanding of cultural values around the globe will better prepare you to successfully communicate with individuals in those cultures.

World Toilet Crisis

Watch media #3 under Assignments tab.

Post your 2-3 paragraph response

Points to consider: how is sanitation a vector of disease ? What is the role of government in providing infrastructure ?

When attempting to help people unfamiliar to indoor toilets to change their habit ( avoid open defecation) what behavioral strategies did you notice ? Any cues used ? Any reinforcements (positive, negative, social ) ? Any punishments ? What do you think might help solve this widespread problem ?

  • Sample Post World Toilet Crisis

This was a dramatic video, since it’s rare to see such “raw” footage up close. We take a lot for granted here in the US, where we have functioning infrastructure for plumbing. It’s hard to believe that over half the world is subject to these conditions.Applying the TTM model, it seemed like there were many, if not most people in the communities Adam visited who took the situation for granted – they were in the pre-contemplation stage of change. They did not even realize anything was wrong since they grew up defecating outside. Once the intervention teams came, they got the people to start to think about it – sometimes with “in your face” kinds of strategies. This got their attention and moved them into the Contemplation stage, where they were thinking about the issue. The part I liked the best was when the intervention team gave the new toilet owners public recognition with a certificate on their door, letting everyone know they took Action. What surprised me the most about all this, was the toileting indoors is a learned behavior, which must be taught and must overcome cultural barriers in areas where that is not common. We all learned so early that we are in the Maintenance phase. I thought it was funny that in India they make some public toilets without roofs so people feel the breeze and feel more comfortable. Seeing the difference in the Indonesian village where sanitation was a priority, compared with other areas still squalid, was amazing and made me feel that all the effort was very worthwhile, even if hard.

Key Assignment Section 3, writing homework help

3 pages long and make sure OV is below 40

: Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) for

The chief information officer (CIO) is pleased with the progress being made with the Software as a Service (SaaS) and Identity as a Service (IDaaS) efforts so far and wants to look at the supply chain program that was custom-written. The CIO wants it gone. An SOA approach may work here, which would involve some on- premise hardware. In the long term, the CIO might consider SOA and Infrastructure as a Service and is presently more interested in a PaaS approach. Complete the following for Section 3:

  • Research 3 Platform as a Service (PaaS) providers, and identify why they may be considered as potential PaaS providers for the current supply chain program.
  • Identify potential benefits and risks that may be unique to each PaaS provider.
  • Include in your analysis a general discussion on budgeting considerations.
  • Include a summary that details the PaaS provider that you would select, with justification.

Critical Commentary for International Political Economy

For this essay you will compare and contrast International Economic History in the interwar period as well as the postwar period. Please use at these three sources including all the attached readings as well as personal opinions to compare and contrast these topics. This paper should be written formally and provide a critical analysis not just repeat what you read. Please standard APA Style. For this course, students are required to write three critical commentaries. Commentary #2 is due online by 9:10 am on March 3rd. This commentary should explore topics in the readings assigned through March 3rd.

The aim of each paper is comparative inquiry and analysis, not mere description. The emphasis is on reasoning and critical thinking. It is not enough simply to recapitulate what each reading has to say about a given theme. You must compare and contrast what they have to say about a topic of your own choosing. To do this, you must evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the types of analysis and theories presented, and offer some conclusion of your own. Thus, each paper should include the following:

•A clear, persuasive introduction with an explicit thesis statement and a roadmap to tell me where and what you will try to demonstrate in the paper.

•A very brief summary or literature review of the selected readings for the paper, with an emphasis on key arguments, type of analysis and conclusions found in each work. Avoid summarizing details. Stick to the main points.

•A brief summary of the theme to be discussed in your paper. What are the issues involved and why are they important? What do we learn from each paper?

•A comparative inquiry and analysis of what the readings have to say about the theme. What do we learn from these discussions? How does the chosen analysis advance or weaken the key arguments? Which cultural or political perspectives are at play? What remains to be learned?

Important Notes:

•Papers are due online on before the start of class (9:10 am). Late papers will be accepted by email for up to 48 hours, but will receive a deduction for tardiness.

•Each of the three papers should be 5 pages double-spaced with normal 1” margins and 12 pt., Times New Roman font.

•All papers must be in APA style and include in-text citations and a full bibliography.

•In grading your commentaries, I will evaluate the ideas you present, how you link your ideas to course materials and how well the paper is organized and executed. A rubric is available on Canvas for further information.

Find a thesis and the main points for the essay " The case for censoring Hate Speech" i will provide below

Write out the thesis or main idea of the essay (in one sentence) and

then list the supporting reasons given in the essay (in one sentence).

It’d usually more efficient to paraphrase these ideas rather than trying

to quote directly from the essay. Keep it simple! You should come up

with something like the following for each essays:

“Title of Essay”

Thesis:( state the main idea in one sentence)

SR #1:( state the first “supporting reason” in one sentence)

SR#2: etc

SR#3: etc

Forthese short essays , there are likly to be only a few supporting reasons per essay; if your list is getting longer than, say 5 or 6 reasons, you’re including ideas that are not true supporting reasons.

ps : please make your outline exactly as the example i will provide below “drugs essay” please

Writing essay -05

Choose ONE ! of the following essays for your response:

(If you choose to agree, you must go beyond simply saying you feel similarly by presenting new information or reasons that you feel the author’s position should be supported.)
  3. (2) an evaluation of the author’s presentation of his or her argument. Your response should present evidence from your own knowledge and experience to support your argument. You do not need to use additional sources in this essay.

Length: 700-900 words ( 2 1⁄2 – 4 pages)

Turning in your work: Along with your final essay, turn in the annotation and the outline you have made about the article you are responding to, and any process work you have done while writing this essay. Compile all components of the essay into one Word document, and upload to BeaconLearning (directions to follow).

It is due Wednesday the 26th at 11pm, so if I could have it by Wednesday at 11am that would be AMAZING. Thank you!
