Your original response to the Discussion topic should be at least 300 words and should reflect the fact that you have completed the assigned readings and activities. Use your words wisely so that the posting has substance and includes examples and explanations. Remember to include APA style citations and a reference list.

The Ethics of Assessment:

Assessment, evaluation, and testing involve their own unique ethical considerations. After completing your Reading for this week, please respond to the following questions:

  • In your own words, discuss the basis and origin of the assessment process. How did it originate? Why is it important?
  • Discuss the ethical issues involved in the assessment process. How can these be problematic?
  • Consider the Case Example of Samir and Cooper on page 193 of your text. Use the Internet and the Library to research the issues presented. Discuss the ethical concerns Samir might consider before sharing the information with Cooper and his guardian. What further testing might be appropriate? With what other professionals might Samir consult?
  • Discuss the importance of clinical interviewing as an assessment tool. Why is this important?
  • Describe the various methods of formal evaluation. Using the Internet and the Library, do additional research on one of the formal assessment tools described in the text. Share the additional information you have learned.
  • Discuss the pros and cons of the diagnostic process and the DSM. Do you believe mental health clients should be given a diagnosis? Why or why not?
  • Discuss the legal and ethical issues presented by The Case of Mina in the Learning Activity in this unit.

small retail company upper management, Assignment Homework Help

Journeys in Narrative Discussion Post help

The Trickster Archetype and Euripides’ Medea:

The previously assigned Vogler reading instructs on how to identify this specific archetype in a story and it provides many examples of it in other works, particularly cinematic narrative. Now that you’ve read Euripides’ Medea in its entirety, which character (or, characters), best fits this archetype in the narrative? Because of Euripides revolutionary use of the anti-hero, the characters in Medea may be more challenging to peg than in some other narrative. So, keep in mind that the archetypes can be literal, psychological, or situational. Does only one trickster exist, or, are there more? If more than one exists, who or what is the primary trickster for this dramatic narrative? Cite passages (use quotations and MLA parenthetical citations with page numbers) from both Vogler and Euripides’ Medea to fully support your answer.

Passing the FCAT, writing assignment help

This id for week 6 discussion board. Need to reply a list 100 words.

I believe that actual self and ideal self are correlated together
because if a person believes of themselves to be a certain way then
their actions will follow what they believe. For instance, while I was
in grade school I never passed the FCAT but I still considered myself to
be a smart student and enrolled myself in honors level classes in high
school and kept a high GPA. When the time came for me to either pass the
FCAT or be in  jeopardy of graduating, I passed the test.

The two can be different if someone believe that they are more than
what they are at that point. I do believe that the distinction between
the two is important and is describes how a person can be confident in
themselves. The concept of self to personality and everyday life is very
important because if a person don’t believe in themselves to be great
everyday then they won’t. It is very important for a person to know
themselves and more, I believe one should always have high expectations
for themselves and not wait for someone else to believe in them before
they do themselves.

leadership questions

Explain which leadership style you find to be the most effective: transactional, transformational, autocratic, democratic,
liberal, or servant. As part of your explanation, include a detailed description of the leadership style and why you find it to
be the most effective.
Include examples of leaders who have successfully utilized this leadership style to increase the performance of their
followers.
Your essay should be a minimum of two pages in length in APA style. The title and reference pages do not count toward the
minimum page length. Outside sources are not a requirement for this essay, but if you choose to use them, they must be
cited and referenced according APA guidelines.

three assignment

A new movement has started since the early 2000s, where some political groups are trying to remove American history from our children’s school curriculum and textbooks, specifically slave history. However, these groups also do not want to cover segregation or civil rights. By removing the history that we have just covered in these last eight weeks, the African American communities are denied their connections to American History. Recently, African Americans have created movements such as “Black Lives Matter” to counteract these other groups. Many tie slave history to the development of segregation and racism that has spread throughout our country. A Historical Trauma has affected generations of African Americans because of what their ancestors had to endure just to survive in this country. This distrust has developed towards different groups, agencies and organizations. For those who are not affected, trying to understand what it means to be an African American in the United States showcases the need for this history to be taught in all schools and to every American.

Your final forum is to prepare an essay (letter to the editor or written speech) that would explain to all of America why African American History from the Atlantic Slave Trade To Reconstruction should be taught.

Explain why every American should know African American history. You will be expected to use specific facts, events and people that you have learned from this course therefore refrain from adding content that pertains to historical content after Reconstruction.

These facts, events, and people must come from your required work this term and from research in the library or from the course bibliography.

In your speech, demonstrate the breadth of knowledge you have gained from this work. Do not forget to use in text citations because you will be using multiple sources.

This post must be at least 500 words and for that reason unlike most of our previous Forums this is due by Friday night (at 11:55 PM EST).

You will, as usual, respond to at least two students for 200 words each (and this is due by Sunday). Respond as many times as you want, and I will grade your two best responses.

Remember, I want to see that you have a solid understanding of African American history and that you ground this final post in all the required work during the term.

Do not forget to read the lesson for this week.

Please remember that as this replaces your final exam, you must clearly demonstrate what you have learned from all the required work starting with Week 2 and ending with Week 7. I want to see the breathe of your knowledge gained in this class. Your grade will primarily be based on that. You have at least three posts (the initial submission and two replies). Use them to further demonstrate how much you have learned from the required material and your research.

Chomsky’s Theory of Language Development discusses “critical periods” for learning language. Following from this theory, disruptions during critical periods should negatively affect the development of language.

Please view either of the links below on the historic case of Genie.

Other resources about feral children are in this week’s reading list.

Obviously, these are horrific cases of child abuse.

1.) What The case of Genie and your readings tell us about language (and emotional) development?

2.) What cues can educators take from these tragic cases?

How does gender identity develop? What factors (cultural, social, peers, siblings, etc.) do parents need to focus on to ensure a healthy overall identity in their children?

Take a few minutes and reflect on your middle childhood/early adolescence years. If you could go back in time and talk to that version of you, what would you say? Based on what you learned this week and your own personal experience, write a letter to the younger you. Keep in mind the developmental changes you were going through and give the younger you advice on school, peers, sports, family, etc.

Sociology paper ( OPINION BASED) USE TXT Link included

Reaction Paper I Prompt

This paper is an opportunity to solidify the concepts you have been introduced to in the first two modules of the course, which include (re) introducing sociology, social problems, the sociological imagination, class, poverty, and race/ethnicity.

Write your papers using one-inch margins, double-spaced, and 12-point font. The entire paper should be at least 5-6 pages in length. Make sure to complete all three steps of this assignment:

https://books.google.com/books?id=UNg5DQAAQBAJ&pg=…

Step I:

Write your response to the following questions using your own perspective as well as any concepts you think are relevant from the textbook. If you use a concept from the book, make sure to cite it by writing the page number directly behind it. For example: One of the functions (p. 45) of poverty is that it provides jobs for others. Feel free to number your responses, if that is easier. Make sure to answer all questions in complete sentences.

  1. What is the “Culture of Poverty” thesis, according to the textbook? Who is responsible for it? To what extent do you think poverty is related to culture? Do you agree with the culture of poverty thesis? Why or why not? Finally, do you think there is, therefore, a “Culture of the Rich?” Why or why not?
  1. What is “White Privilege?” Give at least three examples of this concept in today’s society. Do you think most whites in the United States believe they actually have white privilege? Why or why not? Can other races/ethnicities have “privilege” even though they are not white? What are a few examples of privilege for non-whites? Would it be more accurate to use the phrase “racial privilege” rather than “white privilege?” Why or why not? What might some potential “costs” to having racial privilege? Finally, there has been a recent trend to call people out on their privilege by saying the phrase “check your privilege.” What does this mean and why, in your opinion, do you think people are saying the phrase to one another now?

Step II:

Choose two different airline companies that offer “tiered” travel (first class, business, economy) for this exercise. Visit each airline’s website, paying specific attention to the ways they present and market their “classes” for the potential flier. It may take you some time to read through a few descriptions/web pages for each airline. Then, discuss the following key points:

  • Identify the airline, and copy/past each airline’s homepage link into your paper when discussing it.
  • Describe the main differences between each “tier/class” on the airline, especially regarding:
    • Seating
    • Location on the aircraft
    • Priority
    • Service
    • Privacy
    • Security/TSA checks
    • Price
    • Luggage
    • Entertainment
    • Food
    • Connectivity (Wi-Fi, phone use, internet speeds)
    • Other “perks” or options
  • What similarities/differences do the two airlines have regarding their “class” levels? Which airline would you prefer to travel on? In what tier/class? Why?
  • Have you ever flown in an airplane? If so, what do you “know” about the different “tiers/classes” on an airplane due to your own experience(s)? If not, what do you imagine the differences to look like on an airplane in terms of tiers/class? How are people supposed to act/dress/be in each tier/class? What do you base your assumptions on (think media, other peoples’ stories, movies, etc.)?
  • Have you ever flown in first class on an airplane? If so, what was your experience? How did fellow passengers and airline employees treat you, and how did you feel when you traveled in first class? If not, why haven’t you flown in first class (strange question, but be honest!)?

Step III

C. Wright Mills’ concept of the Sociological Imagination requires us to see the relationship between history, our own biographies/experiences, and larger social issues. Consider the history of racial/ethnic segregation on public transportation (like buses), which was common (and legal) in the U.S. until the mid-1950s. What parallels can you draw between the airline tiers/classes of today and historic racial segregation on public transportation?

Cultural Competency Continuation of paper, writing homework help

This is the second and last part of the paper  I will attached the syllabus with it. It should be only 4 more pages excluding the title and reference page.  SBIRT—Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral for Treatment. The screening we have done were Alcohol and or Drugs are other interventions.  Here is a few videos and let me know how much and if you need any thing else.

 Teaching-SBIRT-Faculty-Guide-Session-1

Teaching-SBIRT-Faculty-Guide-Session-2

In your Cultural Competency Paper you will need to identify a current intervention to use with the underserved population that you identified in Week 2.

For this assignment we want to help you begin thinking about what intervention you will be writing about in your paper.

For this section of the overall paper, identify a current SBIRT intervention(s) and provide a rationale/explanation about why this type of SBIRT intervention has been identified is appropriate given the particular cultural or ethnic characteristics of this population.

Your instructor will provide you with feedback that you can incorporate in your final paper.

Your Tasks:

This should be 6-7 pages long and should be APA formatted, making sure you use in-text citations for your references. You will be graded on content of the intervention and APA formatting.

The first purpose is to increase your knowledge about how to work in a culturally competent manner with children and families of underserved populations. The second purpose is to increase your critical thinking skills. The third purpose is to introduce you to some important scholarly journals in social work as well as the fields in which social work is commonly engaged.

Your paper should be 6 – 7 pages long, excluding the title and reference pages. Your paper must follow APA style. Be sure to use the APA tutorial in the course and your APA manual.

  • Thoroughly describe the culturally competent social work practices for working with this population that are identified in the articles or are implied by the articles. Use this research and your course textbook to elaborate on these questions:
    • How has this group been treated historically in our culture? What is the history (e.g., laws, experiences, etc.) related to this type of oppression? What assumptions, beliefs, or attributions appear to drive the oppression or discrimination of this group?
    • What are examples of specific oppressive or discriminatory practices that this group has encountered as they interact with various institutions? You may include social, economic, educational, faith, and health care institutions in your discussion, as well as any other institutions of relevance.
    • What may be the outcomes or implications of these experiences for the marginalized group? Consider the range of bio-psycho-social-spiritual outcomes and other issues of relevance.
    • What examples of strength and resilience are, or have been, evident within members of this group?
    • What may be implications of these oppressive practices for social workers who work with individuals from this population? What are 2-3 specific understandings or actions that you see as crucial to supporting non-oppressive practices with the group you have chosen?
  • Identify a current SBIRT intervention(s) and provide a rationale/explanation about why this type of SBIRT intervention has been identified is appropriate given the particular cultural or ethnic characteristics of this population.
  • Reflect and write a few paragraphs on the knowledge and insight you gained from completing this assignment. Discuss how you feel, what you think, how you react to the notion of serving this minority population in the area of social work you identified in the paper. Be descriptive

Justification Report 2.2, English homework help

Justification Report 2.1 Feedback

The block business letter is generally well formatted. Your problem needs to be addressed and you presented two viable solutions.

Good job developing criteria that will help you decide this issue.

The Annotated Bibliography is generally well formatted but there were issues with the APA style of entries.

Assignment 2.2: Justification Report – Part 2

In Part 2, you will develop a draft of the justification report body (Introduction, Problem Statement, Terminology, Overview of Alternatives, Criteria, Scope and Limitations of the Report, Evaluation of Alternatives, Findings and Analysis, Recommendation, & References page).

Your report should be properly organized and use section headings (bold, centered). See the posted example in Week 5 for assistance with overall design and style.

The appropriate content for each section includes:

  1. Introduction: A short paragraph giving an overview of the company (may include information about general environment and direction).
  2. Problem Statement: This is a 1-2 paragraph discussion setting up the problem at work that you intend to solve.  It should focus on why the problem needs to be addressed.
  3. Overview of Alternatives: Section begins with transitional phrase and highlights 2 viable alternatives presented to address stated problem (with short description of each).
  4. Criteria: Section begins with transitional phrase and lists 5 viable categories to evaluate the proposed solutions (each with a short description).
  5. Scope and Limitations of the Report: Discuss any time or access related concerns as it pertains to the research or development of the report.
  6. Evaluation of Alternatives: In this section you will explore the alternatives and how they will be implemented.  You may want to research other companies (if possible) that have used similar methods to solve these problems and present those findings here.  You would also present statistical evidence (if found) that will be relevant to your alternatives.  In this section you will also apply the criteria to the alternatives presented in the “Overview of Alternatives” section. The format should be similar to this (and be repeated for all five criteria):

◦ Criterion 1

▪ Alternative A: Name

◦ {narrate findings based on research/application to alternative here}

▪ Alternative B: Name

◦ {narrate findings based on research/application to alternative here}

  1. Findings and Analysis:  Include a brief summary (maximum 1 paragraph; usually 2-3 lines) before the required chart.  This should cover the key points from the Evaluation of Alternatives section above. The required chart is a feasibility chart the shows the criteria as they pertain to each alternative (see example below).
  2. Recommendation: A short paragraph that presents the choice based on the research and content of the report.
  3. References: Include an APA style (6th edition) References page that documents the two (2) sources (minimum) that you used and cited in-text in your Evaluation of Alternatives section. The majority of sources should be secondary (primary sources not required for this assignment). Remember that both in-text citations and References must be included (to avoid plagiarism) whenever you are directly quoting, summarizing, or paraphrasing researched material.

The feasibility chart should look similar to this (replace the criteria and alternatives to reflect your content):
