Implementation Levers and The Balanced Scorecard, Discussion post help

Implementation Levers and The Balanced Scorecard

MT2 – Some aspects of the Implementation Levers and The Balanced Scorecard to be considered are: Discuss the implementation levers of Structure and the Forms (Functional, Multidivisional, Matrix, Network, and Partnerships and Franchises) of Organizational Structure.

Discuss how The Balanced Scorecard can be used to gauge the success with which implementation levers are aligned with strategic objectives using the Strategy Map (Exhibit 8.7, page 249).

Identify and discuss any two issues that your found interesting in Chapter 91: Offender Reentry

Discussion response needed, needs to seem like a dialogue:

    1. Identify and discuss any two issues that your found interesting in Chapter 91: Offender Reentry

I found the effort to get rid of the criminal background question very interesting. If I were an employer I would like to know if any applicants have previous records, I would rather not chance hiring a sex offender and then having an increased risk of incidents in the work place. Doing away with the background check before the hiring seems counter productive (Travis & Crayton,2009). If the offender registries were handled by a more official organization and updated with accurate and reliable information it might solve this discrimination problem. The rate of diseases in the prison system is 4 to ten times higher in the prison system (Travis & Crayton,2009). I never realized the risk of disease being in the prison system was this high, one thing not addressed was if this was because of prison, or if it was due to the inmates actions prior to going to prison. This would be a difficult situation to try and address. Do we pay for the treatment of the diseases after the inmates get out of prison?

2.Identify and discuss any two issues that you found interesting in Chapter 72: Community Corrections.

The amount of people on probation was a very surprisingly large number, which was shocking to find upwards of 4 million on probation (Alarid, 2009). I have never taken the time to think about the individuals on probation but this is a very large number. The individuals on house arrest and such could be efficiently used for community service if there was a revamp to the community service system. I feel that community service is a very useful tool that little effort is being put into utilizing it to its fullest potential, and it seems as though there is no advancements towards the increase in community service line of rehabilitation with only 1 out of 4 individuals on probation doing any type of community service (Alarid, 2009). I think the wealthy get off too easily by paying their way out of doing community service, they should be held to the same standards as everyone else and have to do community service.

marketing strategy for a brewing company in the US 2 paper, project help

It will be talking about marketing strategy for a brewing company in the US: New Glarus.  This project is about introducing this brewing company to Germany (International Business)  more specifically the beer Spotted Cow. New Glarus Brewing This is a group project but I only needs the MARKETING STRATEGY part.  I’ve attached the guidelines. The paper needs to be TWO pages.

Here is some ideas that  i came up with:
I’d say we do a soft entry during the Euro 2016 tournament. This is when we would mainly go to pins around Munich and offer free samples (tasting) of the product just to raise awareness of our product. I would suggest a full launch for October 2016 during the Oktoberfest in Munich. We would showcase our product there and market it using social media. (Facebook Twitter and Xing are top three most popular in Germany) I will look up a few commercials as well and then of course billboards and bus stations.

In 3–4 pages, graph a set of data and analyze the results. Analyze the concepts of opportunity cost, marginal cost, and marginal benefit in real world situations.

    Requirements

This assessment has three parts. Be sure to complete all three parts before submitting.

    Part 1

Below is a production possibilities table for consumer goods (butter) and capital goods (guns).

    Production Possibilities

Type of Production Production Alternative A Production Alternative B Production Alternative C Production Alternative D Production Alternative E Production Alternative F Production Alternative G
    Butter 0 1 2 3 4 5 6
    Guns 14 13 11 9 7 4 0

Graph the data provided in the table using Excel. (Hints: Type your data into an Excel spreadsheet. With your mouse, highlight the data only. Go to insert. Click on scatter. Click on smooth lines chart. Select the line chart. Plot data drawing line.)

Once you have graphed the data, please copy and paste your graph into a Word document so you can complete the rest of the assessment.

Based on the graph you created, complete the following:

    • Analyze the graphed data to develop assumptions, referencing the possibility curve.
      • Identify the specific assumptions that underlie the production possibilities curve.
      • Determine the cost of more butter, if the economy is at point C.
        • What would be the cost of producing more guns?
        • How does the shape of the production possibilities curve reflect the law of increasing opportunity costs?
      • Suppose this hypothetical economy were producing only 1 item of butter and 10 guns, and this was depicted by this production possibilities table and curve. What conclusions could you draw about this economy’s resource utilization?
      • Determine whether this economy is able to produce outside its current production possibilities. How might technological changes affect the production possibilities curve? How can international trade allow consumption above its production possibilities curve?
    Part 2
    • Analyze the concept of opportunity cost.
      • Explain what is meant by opportunity cost.
      • Explain how opportunity cost relates to the definition of economics.
      • Determine if allocating advertising expenditures to boost sales or investing in a new plant and equipment would entail the greater opportunity cost. Explain and support your response.
    Part 3
    • Apply the concept of marginal cost and marginal benefit to real world decisions.
      • Provide two examples of recent decisions you made in which you, either explicitly or implicitly, weighed marginal cost and marginal benefit.

    Additional Requirements

    • Include a title page and reference page.
    • Number of pages: 3–4, not including title page and reference page.
    • Number of resources: At least 2.
    • APA format for citations and references.
    • Font and spacing: Times New Roman, 12 point; double-spaced.

PLEASE REFER TO SCORING GUIDE TO ENSURE ALL CRITERIA/COMPETENCIES ARE MET! THANKS!

How does Tesla, Inc. use forecasting techniques?

      Telsa, inc. manufacturing techniques.

Planning and Controlling the Manufacturing Sector

    • Differentiate at least two or three key elements for each of the four primary forecasting techniques and how they apply to your chosen organization.

Forecasting systems offer a variety of techniques, and no one of them is best for all items and situations. The forecaster’s objective is to develop a useful forecast from the information at hand with the technique that is appropriate for the different patterns of demand. Two general types of forecasting techniques are used: judgment methods and quantitative methods. Judgment methods translate the opinions of managers, expert opinions, consumer surveys, and salesforce estimates into quantitative estimates. Quantitative methods include causal methods, time-series analysis, and trend projection with regression. Causal methods use historical data on independent variables, such as promotional campaigns, economic conditions, and competitors’ actions, to predict demand. Time-series analysis is a statistical approach that relies heavily on historical demand data to project the future size of demand and recognizes trends and seasonal patterns. Trend projection with regression is a hybrid between a time-series technique and the causal method”

HRMN 400 Week 2 DQ 1 Please respond to Daniel Schaffer, management homework help

Discussion One: Share why job analysis is crucial to the effective management of organizations. Include the following in your answers:1. How does a job analysis help managers do their jobs better?

The job analysis helps the mangers determine the tasks that the employees are needed to do on a daily basis. This will help the manager keep on track during the creation of new positions, interview process, and when the time comes to evaluate the employees. During the creation process of a new position the manager needs to know all the tasks that the employee will encounter on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. This is important to determine the type of employee that the company will need. During the interview process, knowing what the job analysis entails will help the hiring manager stay on top of the questions that need to be asked. This is so the hiring official stays on track and does not go off asking odd questions that does not pertain to the position.

The evaluation process is important as well to have a well thought out job analysis. This will help the manager performing the employee evaluation to determine the areas that the employee is succeeding in or areas that need improvement. At this time it is also for the manager to ask if there are any tasks in their daily life that they do that is not on the job analysis so the manager can improve the analysis.
