Your job for this assignment is to assess the situation utilizing specific tools.

Assume your team has been hired by the Arts Festival Board of Directors. The board realizes the problem with Mark and the drug store is extremely serious and could be a symptom of bigger issues. You were hired because the Festival’s leadership cannot do this for themselves. What that means for you is that they are looking for you to assess the situation and identify problem areas. You do not need to include solutions or recommendations for this assignment, that will come in a later assignment.

Your report cannot exceed three pages (12 point font, double-spaced, not including appendices or references).

For this report you will complete the following tools:

  • PESTLE or PEST Analysis
  • Your choice of the 7S or STAR model
  • Cultural Web

Each of these tools can be detailed in a separate one-page appendix. (One page per tool, for a total of three pages).

Your report should be written from the perspective of a consultant hired to help your client organization be more effective in accomplishing its mission. Your report should be directed to the Board of Directors and provide an overview of the current situation, a synthesis of the analyses you performed, and illuminate critical issues that inhibit the desired performance. Most of this report should be your own thoughts and opinions. There are no definitive answers to this case or the analyses/tools used for the case. It is important that you put significant thought into the analyses you perform to get robust answers. It will be these answers that you use to support your identification of issues and ultimately the solutions you provide. There are video lectures for each tool available to assist you in how to think about each analysis.

Your report should be free of spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. It is strongly recommended that you run it through a proofreading application such as Grammarly.com.

The points for this assignment are allocated as follows:

30 points based on the peer reviews received from teammates

15 points for the organization and clarity of the writing

15 points for the correct completion and assessment of the analyses

15 points for the identification, prioritization, and support of issues

Read the case, then study and analyze it, write a paper and PowerPoint finally

Each team will analyze cases (on different dates) and present the analyses in class presentations on the days when the cases are scheduled for discussion. It is important to note that it is assumed that these presentations are to be given to the case company’s top management, not to a college class. Each presentation will be approximately 25-30 minutes, followed by 30 minutes of discussion/Q&A, with the class playing the role of the company’s top management.

Answer these questions:

1.Which trends in the external environment are likely to have the greatest impact on the company’s ability to sustain a competitive advantage? Explain.

2.Assess McDonald’s business-level strategy.

3.Assess McDonald’s international strategy.

4.Evaluate McDonald’s performance. What do you recommend McDonald’s do? Explain.

Research Marketing Questions

Consider your company and product or service selection in Week 1. You may select an existing type of product or service or a new product or service but it must be global or multi-regional. Once you have selected your product or service, you must define the size and type of company that provides the product or service (available from annual reports). This need not be elaborate but must include total number of employees, production volume, distribution methods, and so forth. Company and product or service selection is a critical part of this project. You must ensure your proposed company can implement the marketing methods discussed in the text.

Key to creating an effective marketing plan is the ability to analyze the environment in which the product or service will be offered. The Week 1 assignment allows you to begin to understand various reports and how they can be used in your marketing plan.

Purpose of Assignment

This assignment is designed to help students analyze and interpret primary and/or secondary data and research. First, students will be provided with a marketing report that allows for preparing basic executive level data insights. Second, they will be allowed to pick a company and product or service. This assignment will help prepare students for the development of their marketing plan. Students will be creating a marketing plan (refer to Marketing Plan and Outline document) so they may want to choose a company and product or service that has data readily available or where they can use demographic/psychographic data to provide insights.

Assignment Steps

Part 1:

Analyze the Week 1 Business Growth Overview dataset. This is a marketing report generated by an analyst for the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Marketing at a large corporation. The analyst is new and has provided summary data but no insights or commentary for the SVP.

Construct a minimum 525-word memorandum for the SVP providing insights and commentary. The memorandum should include your analysis of the following:

  • Major areas of increase and decrease in revenue or type and/or category of business
  • Trends that are evident in terms of revenue or type and/or category of business
  • Insights that would help formulate marketing strategies to either continue growth or reverse decline
  • Additional analysis you (if you were SVP) would like to build a marketing goal and strategy or strategies (and why)

Part 2:

Select a global or multi-regional (does business in more than one country) company and one of its products or services that will serve as the basis for your marketing plan. You should obtain two years of annual reports as well as two years of 10K reports (provides a comprehensive overview of the company’s business and financial condition and includes audited financial statements) for your data source. Once you have selected your product or service, you must define the size and type of your selected company that provides the product or service (available from annual reports). This need not be elaborate but must include total number of employees, production volume, distribution methods, and so forth. Record this information in a summary document as outlined below.

Company and product selection is a critical part of this project. You must ensure your proposed company can implement the marketing methods discussed in Marketing Management.

Prepare a minimum 175-word summary document and send it to your instructor as a record of your selection. The summary document should include the following:

  • Name of Company
  • Location of Company Headquarters
  • Name of Product or Service selected
  • General description of company (number of employees, revenue, type of ownership, web page, etc.)
  • General description of product or service

Format your assignment consistent with APA guidelines.

Click the Assignment Files tab to submit your assignment.

The company I would like to use is either Walmart or perhaps you may have a better subject in mind.

What are you thoughts regarding cultural diversity or self interest, philosophy homework help

  1. A husband and wife are walking across a railroad track. She stumbles, and her foot gets caught in the switching mechanism. He tries to free her. Then a trail comes  roaring around the corner. Realizing he cannot free her before the train reaches them, the man leaps to safety. She is struck and killed instantly.

What are you thoughts regarding cultural diversity or self interest with respect to the case you chose? Consider the fact that ethics is the normative study of morals. Its job is to examine and formulate standards of the good and right that are justifiable and shareable. Ethical standards apply equally to all individuals, no matter what community they belong to. Is the ethical stance compatible with egoism or cultural relativism?

Must be in your own words and will be ran through several plagiarism checkers.

WHY WRITE A LITERARY ANALYSIS?, writing homework help

Why Write a Literary Analysis?

Literature teaches us about the value of conflict. We experience conflict in our personal relationships and in our interactions with society. A literary analysis helps us recognize the conflict at work in literature; this gives us greater insight into the personal conflicts that we face. In addition, learning how to closely read, analyze, and critique a text is beneficial beyond a literature course in that it improves our writing, reading, and critiquing abilities overall.

How to Write a Literary Analysis

It is important to understand that some conflicts in literature might not always be obvious. Considering how an author addresses conflict via literary techniques can reveal other more complex conflicts or different kinds of conflicts that interact in multiple ways. Analyzing those more complicated elements can help you discover what literature represents about the human experience and condition. With this in mind, consider that your thesis might be a claim about how conflict is represented in a work, whether through character, setting, or tone. This is not a personal reflection on conflict in general or a conflict you face but an analysis of how literary elements are used to express a conflict in a given literary work—in this case, a short story.

The literary analysis should be organized around your rough draft and thesis statement. Your thesis is the controlling idea of the entire essay. In the Week One assignment you submitted a proposal in which you chose a topic based on the List of Writing Prompts. You also identified a short story to analyze from the List of Literary Works. In Week Two you compiled an annotated bibliography in which you identified your primary and secondary sources. In Week Three, you created a rough draft and revised your working thesis. You also incorporated research into this draft.

Assignment Instructions

In this assignment, you will refine that thesis and essay even further and develop your argument. You are required to incorporate your instructor’s feedback in your Final Paper and to take peer feedback into consideration.

In your paper,

  • Create a detailed introduction that contains a thesis that offers a debatable claim based on one of the prompts on the list.
  • Apply critical thought by analyzing the primary source you selected from the approved List of Literary Works. Avoid summary and personal reflection.
  • Develop body paragraphs that contain clear topic sentences and examples that support the argument.
  • Write a conclusion that reaffirms the thesis statement and includes a summary of the key ideas in essay.
  • Apply your knowledge of literary elements and other concepts in your response to the prompt. Reference the list of literary techniques found in Week Two of the course and discussion forums.
  • Incorporate research from the primary and secondary sources
