HIS105 Getting Women the Vote – Two Strategies

TOPIC CHOICE TWO: Getting Women the Vote – Two Strategies

Here you will focus on the approaches of two organizations and some names associated with each. These are the NAWSA (National American Woman Suffrage Association; later the League of Women Voters) and the NWP (National Women’s Party). You will identify the strategic approach and key players in each as they pursued the common goal of getting women the right to vote. One might find virtues, problems and successes associated with both strategies. You might see elements of each in strategies of later leaders and related issues even today.

Be typed, double spaced between lines, using Times New Roman font, Calibri, Arial, or Courier (size 10, 11, or 12), with one-inch margins on all sides. You must have a Sources list at the end; each source listed must also be cited in the body of the paper with an in-text citation.

Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the Sources page are not included in the required assignment page length.

The body of the paper should be five paragraphs and a total of 500-to-800 words in length. The 500 minimum is firm; you really have not adequately developed the paper if less than that. The 800 maximum is a loose guideline. The body of the paper is to be double-spaced. Typically, if you follow these instructions, the body of your paper will be 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 pages in length; add a page for your title page and another for your sources list and that then gets to 4-1/2-to 5-1/2. But the length requirement is evaluated by word count.

Do you believe one research method is more valuable than the other? Why or why not?

Respond with critique to at least two classmates.

Each Original Posting should be a minimum of 350 words,

Assignment: Financial Model Spreadsheet

Prompt:

  1. Nordstrom, Inc. ( Is the company I selected for this Assignment. The country into which the company will be calculated for is Italy)

Draft a one-page spreadsheet showing financial history and projected performance for the company you have chosen. The rows should include revenue, expenses, calculated profit, and calculated profit margin. The columns should be years: two years of history, plus three years of your reasonable future projections. Include a few sentences of key assumptions and conclusions. The spreadsheet must have accurate calculations and the cells of the spreadsheet should show your calculation formulas. Your spreadsheet should look professional on screen and when printed (including a heading and meaningful number formatting). Submit this assignment as an Excel spreadsheet file, not a PDF document.

Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:

  •  Show two years of financial history including revenue, expenses, calculated profit, and calculated profit margins.
  •  Show three years of future financial projections for revenue, expenses, calculated profit, and calculated profit margins.
  •  Show calculation formulas in cells where appropriate rather than “inputting” numbers.
  •  Identify key assumptions and conclusions regarding financial projections.
  •  Present data in a professional manner with headings and meaningful number formatting.

REDUCING STRESS AT WORK, English homework help

***THE TOPIC IS REDUCING STRESS AT WORK***************** PLEASE ENSURE THE PAPER IS ABOUT REDUCING STRESS AT WORK

*** PLEASE NO PLAGIARISM

*** PLEASE DO NOT CITE A BUNCH OF SOURCES AND CALL IT A PAPER

This essay will deal with the same topic that you chose for the personal and informative essays. In the personal essay, you identified a problem of significance. For the informative essay, you provided research and a balanced examination of that topic to your reader. In the stance essay you will explore ways to fix the problem and how your reader can relate to your position.

In this version, you will move from simply discussing the issue to developing an updated essay that takes a clear stance on one aspect of your topic. The goal of this essay is to learn how changing the purpose of the writing (from informative to more argumentative) impacts the content and potential audience. Further, it will help you understand the difference between writing to argue your perspective and writing to educate your audience. This knowledge will help you transition into persuasive writing (covered in ENG 215 – Research and Writing) and more advanced essays in your major courses.

You will take a position and present your perspective – alternatively put, your stance – on the issue you discuss. For instance, if you wrote an informative essay on water pollution levels in Flint, Michigan, then your stance essay could argue that the city must frequently test water throughout the state to avoid a similar issue. A second stance would be that government officials should be held accountable when they fail the people who elected them in the first place. These are only two of the many possible stances that you could take. As always, you should work with your professor if you have questions about your topic choice or essay direction.

How to assemble the essay:

  1. Decide what part of the topic you want to take a stance on. This is best done by thinking carefully about the topic and considering what different people may want to argue for or against involving that issue. Think about what aspect of your previous paper you feel strongly about.
  2. Write a new thesis statement that covers your paper’s topic and direction (what you want the reader to understand when the essay is completed).
  3. Perform the research needed to meet the source requirements (minimum 3 additional sources). You may not use more than two of the provided sources in the webtext.
  4. Make sure that no content from your informative paper is reused. You may use some of the same sources, but you will be writing a new paper, so you cannot reuse anything else.
  5. Review the finished draft to make sure the ideas flow, each of the paragraphs supports the thesis statement found at the end of the introduction, and that your conclusion brings the essay to a strong sense of closure.
  6. Finally, proofread the version you intend to turn in for grammatical, sentence structure, clarity, and word use errors.

The final version of the essay must:

  • Be in essay form with an introduction, body, and conclusion
  • Conclusion should explain why the essay’s main points are important
  • Meet the page requirement of 5-6 pages (Title and References pages do not count)
  • Address the same overall topic as your informative essay
  • Take a clear stance on the issue in question and articulate your stance through a well-developed thesis statement (found at the end of the introduction)
  • Support your thesis statement with developed analysis of your sources and how they connect to your topic
  • Use a minimum of five (5) academically appropriate sources properly cited in APA format and represented on the References page

personality

APA and at least two paragraphs for each topic, there are two topics

1. PERSONALITY

2. IDENTIFYING GAPS IN KNOWLEDGE

………………………………………………………………………………………………..

PERSONALITY

The goal of this discussion is to apply your understanding of personality theory to interpret the behavior of a specific individual.

Describe the personality of someone you know using the Five-Factor Model and McAdam’s theory. This person can be a friend, family member, coworker, or someone else you know well. What particular career has this person chosen, and how long has he or she been in this field? Disguise the identity of the person by using a pseudonym and mask any potentially revealing characteristics. How might this person change, based on these theories, when he or she is 10 years older than now, and 20 or more years older than now?

In completing this discussion, provide a summary statement reflecting your view of the stability or variance of personality across this span of time.

IDENTIFYING GAPS IN KNOWLEDGE

The goal of this discussion is to develop new research questions on adult human development.

Choose an aspect of adult human development that has been addressed in this course. Understanding that your role as a researcher is to identify gaps in knowledge and provide possibilities for research, complete the following for your initial post:

  • Construct two research questions that you think would address gaps in knowledge for this topic.
  • Identify several resources that would appropriately address new approaches to studying this particular topic.
  • Explain how those resources will address the research questions you have constructed.

Book review : Tulia: Race, Cocaine, and Corruption in a Small Texas Town, social science homework help

Tulia: Race, Cocaine, and Corruption in a Small Texas Town

A book review is a critical piece of writing which usually either praises or more often criticizes
a book. I do not have any must have’s or absolute requirements but generally a good book review
which will get a grade of A will meet these requirements: 1) 12 point New Times Roman font, double
spaced, 2) the name of the author printed on the top of the first page together with a the title of the book
reviewed as well as a separate title of your book review if you choose to have one, your name and the
names of those in your group, 3) be at least 4 pages long, and 4) be excellent work which means it has
to have evidence of independent thought and contain the reviewer’s opinion about the book, not just a
mere restatement of the thesis of the author.
