Deadline: Sunday, 6/25/14, 11:59 PM

Document Format: Times New Roman 12-point font, double-spaced, 1-inch margins on all sides

Length: about 1.5 pages (375-450 words)

Grading: Worth up to 24 points. Please see below for detailed grading rubric.

Description: This is the third of 3 case reports you will write throughout the semester. The case report will allow you to describe in detail a particular disorder, based on the presentation of an actual client. Please write in complete sentences. All information required to write the case report is available on the Faces Interactive website or in your textbook.

To get to Faces Interactive, follow these directions:

Go to  HYPERLINK “http://www.mhhe.com/faces” t “_new” http://www.mhhe.com/faces.

Choose the right speed and resolution for your internet connection.

A new window will open – this is Faces Interactive.

Click the disorder that you will write the case report about (see below for which disorders to choose from).

Click “View Disorder”.

Explore all aspects of the disorder by clicking the different tabs on the website. Note that there are tabs at the top of the page (Diagnosis, Case History, Interview, Treatment, Assessment) as well as links at the side of the page (options differ depending on which tab you have selected).

You must choose from one of the following disorders:

Bulimia Nervosa

Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder

Sample Paper: There is a sample Case Report online under Content/Case Reports. Please read this for an idea of what I would like you to write, and the desired writing style. Note that the sample paper is about a different disorder than you will write about. This paper would receive an A.

Specific Sections and grading rubric:

Overall Writing Style (5 points): Please use correct spelling and avoid slang words. Please write in complete sentences. Write in an organized and coherent manner. Use direct quotes frequently to explain the client’s different behaviors. See the sample paper for more ideas about what writing style to use.

Your Name, Client Name, Diagnosis (1 point): See sample paper – please include this information.

Observations (250-350 words, 10 points):

Using direct quotes and descriptions of the client’s behavior, explain how the client meets DSM-IV criteria for the disorder you have diagnosed. Explain clearly how he or she meets each criterion. Briefly explain if the client does not meet some of the diagnostic criteria. The description of symptoms should be the “meat” of your paper – based on this description, it should be clear that this is the best diagnosis for the client.

Differential Diagnosis (125-200 words, 8 points):

Differential diagnosis is the process of differentiating two disorders with similar symptoms. This is an essential part of every diagnosis, since clients often present with complex symptoms and it can be very difficult to tell which is the “right” diagnosis. This section should discuss why the diagnosis given to this client is the best possible diagnosis, rather than other, similar diagnoses. You should discuss at least one other disorder. Explain how someone might initially think that the client meets some of the criteria for this other disorder, but then explain why that is not right, and the client actually better meets criteria for the disorder you have chosen.

Suggested disorders to consider in your differential diagnosis section:

If your case report is about:

Consider rejecting one of these disorders:

Bulimia Nervosa

Anorexia Nervosa

Binge-Eating Disorder

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder

Oppositional Defiant Disorder

Bipolar Disorder (specifically, mania)

Conduct Disorder

2 Page Paper Marketing Segments

Instructions

For this assignment, read Case 1 that is titled “The Japanese Steakhouse Experience,” which can be found on pages 116-117 of your textbook. Once you have read and reviewed the case scenario, respond to the following questions with thorough explanations and well-supported rationales:

  • Thinking about the segmentation process that could utilize demographic, behavioral, geographic, and psychographic criteria, explain how you would segment the market for Benihana. Taking this one step further, apply the segmentation strategies you just examined, and describe the target market(s).
  • Explain the positioning approach used by Benihana.
  • Assuming you are interested in creating a restaurant that would compete with Benihana, describe your restaurant, beginning with the product, the style of the physical restaurant, and the types of marketing communications (specifically the advertisements) that you might utilize to reach the target market.
  • Explain how Benihana and your new restaurant use advertising to enhance the concept of integrated marketing communication (IMC) within the restaurants’ marketing programs. Within your explanation, include a look at the theoretical aspects of IMC.
  • Thinking about the business-to-business (B2B) aspect, explain how Benihana and your new restaurant could use advertising to enhance the concept of IMC within the restaurants’ marketing programs that would be aimed at the B2B market. This might entail marketing to a shopping mall’s management staff in order to be able to open a Benihana in those locations.

Your response should be a minimum of two, double-spaced pages. References should include your textbook and a minimum of one additional, credible source. All sources used, including the textbook, must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying citations and be cited per APA guidelines. Make certain to include a title page and a references page.

The page 116-117 write-up is found below.

suggestion to improve others research idea

Offer a suggestion to improve another student’s research ideas. (100-words only)!!!

student’s research ideas:

Can making specific english class for a major help become better writer in a specific field of study.

Above is my attempt to make a hypothesis at this moment. I need to work on it better to make it not a yes or no kind of hypothesis. With this question though, I think with a little work it can become a good research. The reason I believe it can be a good research is because english is important, but as a college student trying hard to graduate in four years does not help when the school requires students to take english classes that is not affiliated with their major. In my case I am communications major but I am pursuing a career in law enforcement. Two different majors, but that is my choice. I am focussing on the criminal justice side for this project. Student in CRJ and want a career in law enforcement need to learn how to write properly but in the mind set of report writing not reading a book and writing a book report on the book. Have a specific english class for specific majors to take would be more ideal then making students take an english class that does not help them except put them through school longer.
