The Psychology of Motivating Employees through Training and Development Article

https://trainingindustry.com/blog/performance-mana…

I chose the above mentioned article on “The Psychology of Motivating Employees through Training and Development” because I wanted to better understand what exactly motivates us when we learn and develop our skills.

This article was really enjoyable and goes over our own self-worth and that the companies we work for have to ensure that no one suffers from an low self-worth because feelings can certainly impact our actions at work. We become more motivated when we understand how our work matters and this can be done with the help and care of a great manager and good HR Department.

Lastly, the article pointed out that all people are assets worth to be developed and that training and development should be looked upon as an investment and that companies should always remember that it’s so crucial that they value the people that they have working for them. As a result of this, the company will develop an ideal atmosphere for learning and development.

Performance Model

Hello Class and Professor,

Watching the this weeks Scenario put a lot of things into perspective when applying how one learns or functions on the job. The two that I liked the best is motivational learning and Environment learning. Motivational learning because I believe that giving direction and staying on someone in a positive way to achieve a goal, is a effective way to get one involved while possibly learning something as well and producing a good outcome for the company. As far as Environmental learning, I think this is something we do self consciously in our day to day learning in our life let alone the work force. Example, for myself I am in a school environment with special needs kids, I have to be prepared for whatever the kid decides to do that day whether it be nice or not so nice, either or a have to react in a certain manner that wont harm them or effect my job.

Assignment 1.2: Industrialization After the Civil War Final Paper

Assignment 1.2: Industrialization After the Civil War Final Paper

After
the Civil War, the United States became a much more industrialized
society. Between 1865 and 1920, industrialization improved American life
in many ways. However, industrialization also created problems for
American society. Consider events that took place after the Civil War
and discuss ways that industrialization affected the U.S. between 1865
and 1920.

You have already developed a thesis
statement and developed an outline in which you identify three main
points relevant to your topic. Now you will develop the final paper in
which you explore your main points in detail.

Write a three to five (3-5) page paper in which you:

  1. Introduce your paper with your previously crafted thesis statement.
  2. Discuss
three (3) major aspects of industrialization between 1865 and 1920.  In
your response, consider society, the economy, and politics.
  3. Identify
three (3) specific groups that were affected by industrialization and
provide two examples for each group describing how the group was
affected. (Consider issues such as race, ethnicity, gender, child labor,
    etc.)
  4. Summarize how industrialization affected the life of the
average working American during this period. Use specific examples and
    details.
  5. Use at least three (3) academic references besides or in addition to the textbook. Note: Wikipedia and other Websites do not qualify as academic resources.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

  • Be
typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with
one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA
style or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any
    additional instructions.
  • Include a cover page containing the
title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the
course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are
not included in the required assignment page length.

The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:

  • Identify
and discuss the different ways that the heritage of slavery, the Civil
War, the Reconstruction, and segregation have shaped America’s history.
  • Summarize
and discuss the ways that formal policies of government have influenced
the direction of historical and social development in the United
    States.
  • Recognize the major turning points in American history since the Civil War.
  • Use technology and information resources to research issues in contemporary U.S. history.
  • Write clearly and concisely about contemporary U.S. history using proper writing mechanics.

U.S. Census Bureau, writing homework help

Please follow these instructions to get to the data for your county from the U.S. Census Bureau. Be sure to look at the data about the mean income and the cultural/ethnic/racial groups that live in your area. As you review the data, consider what other information is important for us to know as human services professionals working in the area of child and family welfare. We will talk about this data in this week’s discussion.

  1. Go to the federal government census page at: http://www.census.gov/
  2. Then, in the search box in the upper left, enter your state.
  3. Click your state’s QuickFacts from the U.S. Census Bureau link.
  4. Then, enter your county. If you choose, you can enter your city as well for more specific information.

In addition, review the data on children in your county at the Kids Count website by following these directions:

  1. Go to the Kids Count Data Center at: http://datacenter.kidscount.org/data/bystate/Defau…
  2. Click on your state.
  3. Click “Community Level Profiles.”
  4. Click “Counties” and/or “Cities.”
  5. Choose your county or city. Once on that page, click the dropdown menu in the center section titled Indicators to review specific data.

After you complete the reading assignment and locate the data for your particular county, begin your discussion by:

  • Identify what county (and/or city, if you choose to use that data) you live in, and then give a demographic account of the population that comprises your location. Be sure to include an overview of the cultural/ethnic/racial groups that live in your area. As you review your county or city’s statistics, consider what other information is important for us to know as human services professionals working in the area of child and family welfare. Then, address the following questions:
  • Pick two cultural/ethnic/racial groups and based on the readings this week, discuss their communication styles, values, and religious beliefs.
  • Now think about constructing a genogram with a client in your area. Based on what you learned from your local census data and the textbook, what would be some of the hurdles you may face when trying to construct a genogram with your clients?
  • Discuss some of the benefits of using a genogram with clients.

My state is Iowa ,county is Mills

Exploration and Analysis

In your Topic Exploration and Analysis Assignment in Week 2, you selected a social issue, analyzed its background information, developed a problem statement, and provided an explanation about why the social issue is important to investigate. This week, you examine multiple perspectives regarding potential solutions to that social issue.

Note: Even though you may have selected an issue about which you have strong feelings, it is important to work from as neutral a perspective as possible and try not to let your personal values and perceptions cloud your objectivity. In writing a literature review, your goal is to present information about a topic that already exists in the scholarly literature – not to share personal opinions. You will be expected to use evidence to support your statements by citing resources from the Walden Library.

To prepare for this Project:

  • Read the Black (2007) and Walden University Writing Center (2011) articles and review the Sample Literature Review in this week’s Learning Resources.
  • Use the Walden Library to research multiple perspectives regarding potential solutions to the social issue you selected in Week 2.
  • From this research, identify a minimum of two potential solutions to the social issue.
  • Select a minimum of two scholarly resources from the Walden Library to support each of the potential solutions you identified.

By Day 7

Write a 2- to 3-page synopsis (not including the cover page or references) of your resource findings. Address the following in your review of the scholarly literature and be sure to use evidence to support your statements for each component:

  • Describe at least two potential solutions to the social issue. What are the key steps involved with each potential solution?
  • Are the potential solutions feasible? Explain.
  • Are there any conflicts among the various perspectives regarding potential solutions to the social issue? What are the conflicts that exist? If you do not believe there are any conflicts, explain how you arrived at this conclusion.
  • What are the interests, rights, and values of all parties (stakeholders) involved with the potential solutions to the social issue?
  • Are there ethical dilemmas involved with the potential solutions the social issue? Explain. If you do not believe there are any ethical dilemmas, explain how you arrived at this conclusion.

Be sure to include an introduction, body, conclusion, and reference page, using APA format to cite each of your sources in the body of your paper.

Please submit one original post (400-500 words) and respond to at least two peer posts (75-150 words). Cite the text and the Martin chapter when appropriate. Although you must cite the text and the Martin chapter at a minimum to receive full credit for this assignment, you may also cite one or two additional relevant peer-reviewed journal articles if you wish. (Articles may be cited in either your initial posting or your responses to peers.) Be sure that you have addressed all parts of the required response.

When you respond to peers, respond as if you were dialoguing with them, so be sure that your posts are related to their initial postings. Your posting needs to deepen the discussion by adding an additional perspective, sharing new information, or asking an additional question to get your colleague to think more critically about the issue – it should not be a new posting on your part that doesn’t connect to the initial posting or a mere “I agree with everything you’ve said” statement.

Prior to submitting your posts, check them for appropriate grammar, usage and spelling. In the field of social work it is important to be able to communicate effectively when writing as well as when speaking. Errors in these areas will result in a lower grade for your discussion posts.

Assignment:

Professional Development Assignments:

  1. Given the increasing longevity of Americans and the costs of providing long-term care, anticipation of the costs should be a major element of every family’s financial planning. Current information suggests however, that very few families or individuals give this consideration. What factors might impede this advance planning? What measures might be effective in raising awareness among Americans about this important matter?
  2. Identify the major factors that have resulted in the shift in utilization from inpatient hospitalization to ambulatory care services. What are the implications of this shift for hospitals, consumers, and the health care delivery system as a whole?
  3. The recipients of mental health services in the US represent only a small percentage of those in need of services. Discuss the factors that impede access to mental illness treatment.

Please submit one APA formatted paper between 1000 – 1500 words, not including the title and reference page. The assignment should have a minimum of two scholarly sources, in addition to the textbook.

Body Weight Regulation and Sexual Differentiation

Body Weight Regulation and Anorexia

According to data by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, the
United States has seen a dramatic increase in obesity with all states
having 20% or more of their population being obese (U.S. Obesity
Trends). On the other hand, it is estimated that 8 million Americans
suffer from eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia (Eating
Disorder Statistics). These two observations point to the prevalence of
body weight concerns in contemporary U.S. culture. Given these facts,
what light do scientific findings shed on the problem of body weight
regulation?

For this week’s Discussion you analyze the complex factors that
contribute to body weight. You also assess the biological and cultural
influences related to eating disorders.

With these thoughts in mind:

PART 1 – WRITE a Post a description of how metabolic rate

changes with caloric intake. Then describe at least four influences on

body weight. Finally, explain how cultural influences might contribute

to eating disorders. Support your postings and responses with specific

references to the literature and Learning Resources.

PART 2 –

Application: Paper on Sexual Differentiation

Hormones play a crucial role in shaping the fetal body into either a
male- or female-typical body. The brain determines the type and amount
of hormones the fetus produces. Furthermore, hormones do not act alone,
but rather in concert with brain regions that regulate sexual
behavior. The brain, therefore, not only regulates sexual behavior, but
it is also shaped by the same hormones that prepare the body for
reproduction. These facts raise intriguing questions about gender,
sexual behavior and orientation, and the extent to which these are, or
are not, under conscious human control.

For this Assignment, you research and evaluate the current literature
on prenatal influences on sexual behavior, gender orientation, or
gender typical behavior.

The Assignment:

Select an article related to the process of sexual differentiation,
prenatal influences on sexual orientation, gender orientation, or
gender typical behavior and write a 2- to 3-page paper that addresses
the following:

  • Write a brief summary of the article you selected. Describe two
implications of the article’s findings. Explain whether the findings
concur or conflict with the body of literature in this area.
  • List one question that remains unanswered and is in need of further research.

“What must AutoEdge do to obtain economies of scale with production?”, assignment help

600-800 words

Because the decision about relocating manufacturing operations to the United States is so important, the board of directors at AutoEdge continues to systematically discuss every aspect of the situation.

The following week, CEO Lester Scholl meets you for coffee to discuss next week’s board meeting.

“I’m hearing good things about you,” he says. “Ingrid and George tell me you’ve been very responsive and helpful.”

“That’s good to hear,” you say. “I’ve enjoyed working with them.”

“We’re both busy, so I’ll get right to the point,” he says. “One of the main objectives of any business is to be efficient. Without efficiency, the company is essentially losing money. Am I right?”

“Absolutely,” you say.

“What must AutoEdge do,” he says, “to obtain economies of scale with production? How do we know that it has achieved economies of scale? Conversely, how do we know if it is achieving diseconomies of scale?”

“That’s a good question,” you say. “I can understand why you ask.”

But before you can respond, Lester’s cell phone rings. After a minute, he ends the call and stands.

“I have to get back to the office to handle an emergency,” he says. “Would you send me an e-mail with an answer to my questions, please?”

“No problem,” you say. “I’ll get it to you before I leave work this afternoon.”

“I appreciate it,” he says. “Thanks.”
