Discussion post – 2 to 3 paragraphs

In Module One, you were introduced to the mind-brain problem, where psychologists consider how the brain and the non-physical mind may impact or control behavior. Another important concept in psychology is understanding how the brain develops and changes, and what aids in these changes. Because the field of cognitive neuroscience examines the brain through imaging methods, it is an area of psychology that is poised to answer some of these questions. After completing this week’s readings, answer the following questions: How can current research in cognitive neuroscience be applied to understanding different problems in psychology, including the mind-brain problem and questions concerning brain development and change? How do you think modern imaging methods have helped us understand the brain and solve problems in psychology? Be sure to support your answers with information from the readings.

  

This first paper asks you to examine your own cultural identity – to describe how you define yourself as a cultural being – and how you feel your cultural background has influenced your life decisions thus far.

The content of your essay can address various aspects of culture, including traditions, family, holidays, religious and spiritual practices, gender roles, art, music, methods of communication and oral history.

This is a TEAM paper on Vandalism and my part is … Introduction and the first bullet … Analyze the situation from the perspective of the individual’s social, cultural, and spiritual influences and his or her ethics.

Identify a situation in which an individual was persuaded into a decision to engage in behavior that violated social values, beliefs, attitudes, ethics, and/or morals, such as misrepresenting a product, underreporting income on taxes, falsifying services on a billing document, taking supplies from work, or engaging in vandalism.  

Prepare at minimum a 1,250 word paper (no maximum) in which analyze your identified situation. In your analysis, be sure to address the following items: 

◦Analyze the situation from the perspective of the individual’s social, cultural, and spiritual influences and his or her ethics. Refrain from inserting your own judgments and opinions. (MY PART and introduction)    

◦Discuss how attribution theory can be applied to the situation.   ◦Describe the reciprocal relationship between behavior and attitudes.
