Read the module Home page and required readings. Read through this assignment, including the instructions and the Assignment Expectations before writing your paper.

After that, write an essay in which you first identify core public health functions or services that pertain to the controversial public issue identified in Module One. Discuss the specific Healthy People 2020 Objectives that directly pertain to the controversial topic.

You can submit your paper in a question-and-answer format. In other words, list the questions and provide a short answer to each.

2.Explain in 2–3 paragraphs how that core function pertains to the controversial public health issue from your Module 1 SLP. Remind me of your Module 1 SLP topic.
3.Find examples of at least one specific Objective of Healthy People 2020 that directly pertains to the controversial topic. Be sure to cite sources rather than simply stating your opinion.

For this milestone, introduce the environmental health topic that you have chosen and explain why it is considered a hazard or threat to environmental health. Be sure to summarize the literature you used to examine your topic of choice by identifying the key points from each of the sources.

 

Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:

 

Introduction: Choose an environmental health topic with your instructor’s approval to use as the basis for your analysis and recommendations paper.

 

A. Briefly introduce your chosen topic. Be sure to explain why it is considered an environmental hazard or threat to environmental health, and provide evidence to support your response.

 

B. Cite current literature on this environmental hazard by summarizing the articles that you selected to research your topic.

 

C. Assess the scientific value of each of the sources you cited. In other words, how credible do you feel each of the sources you have selected is for your research on this topic? Be sure to justify your reasoning.

 

D. What are the key points you drew from each of these sources, and from which section of the article or paper you culled them

 

Guidelines for Submission: Your paper must be submitted as a 1-to 2-page Microsoft Word document with double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, one-inch margins, and at least 3 sources cited in APA format.
