Professor remarks

Since you aren’t actually conducting field or laboratory research, this paper is just going to be a literature review. You are collecting information that is already out there, and reviewing studies done by others. You dont need other sections to your paper. Just organize appropriately.

You need to more effectively relate this entire paper to the topic you choose. And its fine if the topic has change since you have been doing research, but make it clear what your topic is from the beginning. revise this draft.

THIS IS THE INITIAL PROJECT

You will investigate a specific event in earth science that you personally find interesting. You will write 2 or 3 page paper about this event and present your findings during an assign class period.

the rough draft should be the first version of your completed paper. it should include citations and references.this step will not earn you and point, but is a valuable step in the writing process for those who take advantage

On a separate sheet of paper, include two correct citations in APA format for the sources you use. You should use formal business formatting for your outreach. Remember to remain courteous in your writing. The Solution Proposal Capstone Paper

Prior to beginning work on this assignment, reflect upon your journey here at University of Arizona Global Campus. Think about your entrance into our school, your previous educational and professional experiences, and review how your knowledge and opinions of social and criminal justice have changed over time. Refer back to your own notes, classwork, and feedback from professors to be ready to evaluate your program of study and share your ideas with classmates and your instructor for this class. The focus of the Capstone Paper is to propose a resolution to a contemporary social and criminal justice issue through the application of information from a variety of related fields, which may include sociology, law, psychology, and ethics. A good place to look for topic ideas is in your previous coursework, including coursework uploaded into your portfolio on Folio. Specifically, you may find topic ideas from issues you became aware of in courses such as CRJ301: Juvenile Justice, CRJ303: Corrections, CRJ306: Criminal Law and Procedure, and CRJ308: Psychology of Criminal Behavior. You may find your topic anywhere; however, your undergraduate coursework is an excellent resource to help you generate ideas.

In developing a proposed solution to a modern social and criminal justice issue, you are encouraged to use the Scholarly, Peer-Reviewed, and Other Credible Sources (Links to an external site.) table to identify and devise a workable plan. A good way to approach this paper is to consider it a detailed and thorough scholarly piece on a single, yet important, social and criminal justice issue. That is, by the end of the paper, you will be an expert on what the current research says about your chosen topic.

In your paper,

  • Create a clear thesis statement that identifies your social and criminal justice issue.
  • Summarize your chosen social and criminal justice issue in approximately one to two pages.
    • Describe what makes this an issue.
    • Provide data to show how this issue has made an impact on society.
    • Explain which social justice principles need to be addressed and why.
    • Detail the cultural and diversity issues present in your chosen social and criminal justice problem.
    • Describe how addressing your chosen issue contributes to the goal of a more just society.
  • Analyze the empirical research on your chosen topic.
    • You may use your Week 1 Annotated Bibliography to complete this section of the paper. Please ensure that the instructor feedback is incorporated within this section. Incorporating peer feedback is optional.
  • Propose a possible resolution to your chosen social and criminal justice issue.
    • Evaluate which branches of the criminal justice system are impacted/involved and how they either help or hinder the issue.
    • Analyze how the criminal and social justice theories (in relation to the United States Constitution) and landmark U.S. Supreme Court decisions impact your chosen issue and support your resolution.
    • Examine how the judiciary, corrections, and law enforcement systems address social equality, solidarity, human rights, and overall fairness for all and how these essential concepts impact your issue and resolution.
    • Evaluate how poverty, racism, religion and other sociocultural variables may apply to contemporary social and criminal justice by drawing information among the fields of, but not limited to, criminology, law, philosophy, psychology, science, and sociology.

Annotated Bibliography-Drug Trafficking Is final Topic

Prior to beginning work on this assignment, read Chapters 4 and 5 from the text. It is also recommended that you review the upcoming assignments in Weeks 2 and 3, along with your Capstone Paper in Week 5. An Annotated Bibliography (Links to an external site.) is a great way to organize your research and prepare you for completing the Capstone Paper Outline in Week 2, the Capstone Paper Rough Draft in Week 3, and your Solution Proposal Capstone Paper in Week 5. The purpose of an annotated bibliography is to find, summarize, and critique scholarly and/or credible sources that you will use to complete your Capstone Paper. You will also use the information gained from the required readings this week to complete this assignment.

The Capstone Paper requires you to address five specific areas of your program of study and the learning objectives for the social and criminal justice program. Like the Capstone Paper, your annotated bibliography will consist of five various topics, each aligning with the first five course learning outcomes for this class, which are also the areas for examination in the Capstone Paper.

In your Annotated Bibliography

  • Analyze criminal justice issues within the systems of law enforcement, the judiciary, and corrections (CLO 1).
  • Evaluate the application of the social justice principles of equality, solidarity, and human rights toward building a just society (CLO 2).
  • Examine cultural sensitivity’s and diversity awareness’ impact on social and criminal justice (CLO 3).
  • Deconstruct the relationship between law enforcement, the judiciary, and corrections (CLO 4).
  • Interpret the relationship between social justice and criminal justice (CLO 5).

For each of your five separate critical analyses of your sources for the Course Learning Outcomes listed above, complete the following:

  • Summarize each source’s thesis and/or main points in one paragraph.
  • Evaluate the relevance of the data used to support the thesis of the source.
  • Provide the formal APA reference entry for each source.
  • Briefly critique (as defined in Chapter 5) the accuracy, acceptability, strengths and weaknesses, and overall soundness of the article.
  • Explain, in one to two sentences, how each source supports your thesis and/or resolution.

For your final project for this course, you will assume the role of an auditor at a large accounting firm, preparing to perform an audit of financial records for Robbins Network Solutions (RNS)

Overview

Professional auditors are charged with the responsibility of analyzing internal controls, conducting risk assessments using analytical procedures, and designing and implementing audit programs. The purpose of any audit is to report, analyze, and determine whether a specific entity met the stated goals of the procedures being audited. The audit objectives drive the audit program, the analytical procedures, and the substantive fieldwork done by the audit team. Most people think of financial auditing when they discuss, read about, or are involved with audits because it is the most common type; however, there are many other types of audits. These include performance, government, compliance, and internal audits. This class focuses on financial auditing for the majority of the topics, which requires that auditors possess the skills and abilities to successfully implement auditing standards and procedures.

For your final project for this course, you will assume the role of an auditor at a large accounting firm, preparing to perform an audit of financial records for Robbins Network Solutions (RNS). As with any audit, the audit team is not always going to have access to all the information and resources they want prior to starting and working on the audit. That is real-world auditing. The assignment is intended to mimic what auditors face in their career. Do the best with what you have, using auditing standards and critical thinking. Support all your responses based on the material you have.

This summative assessment focuses on the preliminary audit assessment, including the drafting of a summary of findings, preparation of an audit program, and evaluation of the relationship between audit risk, audit evidence, and financial statement assertions.

The project is divided into two milestones, which will be submitted at various points throughout the course to scaffold learning and ensure quality final submissions. These milestones will be submitted in Modules Three and Five. The final product will be submitted in Module Seven.

In this assignment, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following course outcomes:

  ACC-411-01: Explain the use of assurance services in financial reporting

  ACC-411-02: Assess the internal controls of an entity for minimizing risk

  ACC-411-03: Analyze the impact of emerging technologies that could affect auditing
