    Intro: The gender wage gap is an issue that women face all over the United States.

    Claim: Gender roles, gender bias, and historical oppression are at the root of the wage gap, and treating women more equally would yield more positive results for society.

    I. Both women and men are subject to gender roles.

    a. Girls brought up to be feminine; boys brought up to be masculine.
