Write a 2-3 page report (500-750 words) that describes your experience and addresses the requirements below.
Format your report according to this formatting and writing standards document. This document includes examples of in-text citations and other great items!
STEP 1: EVENT SELECTION
Select 1 event from the list below and include this event on your title page.
Event A: Museum Visit to a museum that exhibits items from Ancient times to 1500s
Event B: Live Play/Performance Attend a live play/performance that exhibits music/literature from Ancient times to 1500s
Event C: Online Play (Amadeus) Watch parts 1 and 2 of this community theater presentation which is an adaptation of the show ‘Amadeus’.
For events A or B: Clearly identify the event location, date attended, the attendees, and your initial reaction upon arriving at the event.
For event C: Identify the plot of the play and 3 characters.
STEP 3: CULTURAL ELEMENT
For event A: Provide specific information and a description of at least two (2) pieces (e.g., art, exhibits, music, etc.). Provide as many details as possible. Make connections of your event with specific chapters of the text.
For events B or C: Choose 2 scenes (1 scene from Part 1 and 1 scene from Part 2). For each scene you have selected:
describe in detail what you see (background, props, scenery, etc.)
list and describe each character (describe their clothing, accessories, etc.)
list one line spoken by one of the characters and describe how the others in the scene react to what is said (facial expressions, body language, verbal response, etc.)
STEP 4: CONCLUDING REACTION
For events A, B, or C: Describe your overall reaction after the event experience. (i.e., Would you visit/view the event again?, Any most/least favorite moments?, etc.)
STEP 5: DOUBLE CHECK FORMATTING
Formatting and writing standards are part of your grade. Align your formatting to this course’s required standards included at the top of this assignment.
This is section 5 of 6 of a paper I already have. I will submit the other sections to the tutor to ensure the flow of the paper. I will also give the tutor some comments my instructor gave to add to the paper.
Section 5 – Multicultural Issues (3–4 pages). Address how you will handle the multicultural issues (a minimum of two issues) that the student experiences (such as ethnicity, race, age, health and wellness, language, socioeconomic status, family structure, developmental ability, and factors of resiliency). Discuss how these multicultural issues may be impacting the student’s achievement. Discuss your own view of how to work on these issues with the student as well as how to help him or her overcome cultural barriers. In addition, present any community resources to which you might refer this student.
Section 6 – Ethical Dilemma (2–3 pages). Identify and describe an ethical dilemma that arises with your student. Given the complexity of the dilemma, you are to identify an individual from whom you would seek consultation. Identify the steps you will take with your consultant while working through the ethical decision-making process to resolve this dilemma. Discuss how you would start the consultation process and examine the intervention strategies that are recommended to you by the consultant. Address any areas that may have been missed in working on this case. Imagine that you are a school counselor working with another professional for consultation. Discuss how you would start the consultation process and the intervention strategies that have been suggested to you by the consultant. Select one of the following ethical dilemmas for this section:
You have to report child abuse.
You are subpoenaed to testify in a court case involving the father of the child you are counseling.
Your assignment must include a title page, body of the assignment with the client description and the required sections, and a reference list. Appendices are optional.
Support your sections with references. Each section should use 2 to 3 new references for a total of at least 15 references for all sections combined.
In the above short excerpt from O’Brien reading from his book The Things They Carried,” O’Brien offers a different perspective on the death of Ted Lavender as the excerpt is from a different short story in the book than “The Things They Carried.” You can see he illustrates how the same story can be told in many different ways. He also offers an idea of what literature does. O’Brien has been called a “writerly” writer – an odd adjective but one which points to his technique and style, as he does himself in his writing. Think about the construction of this story and evaluate an element of it in a brief response. What’s effective about the style in which this story is written? What are some specific effects of this type of narration? How might the story have had a different effect if written in a different way? You don’t have to answer these questions specifically; they are meant as jumping off points for you.
Note: there are additional O’Brien videos in the module. These are not required but may be illuminating and helpful if O’Brien is who you will choose for Essay 1.
The above link is to a short film of Alice Walker’s “Everyday Use.” Once you have read and annotated the story, watch the video. A film is a director’s interpretation of a text so there will be differences between that and the Walker story, Think about the differences between these two texts and consider what each privileges. Also consider the following questions: Did your opinion of or impression of any character change between reading/viewing? If so, how? Did your interpretation of the story change in any way? What might be missing from either text that would deepen understanding of a theme? As a last note, which version of the story did you prefer and why?
You do not have to answer the questions above like you are answering an exam question. Rather use them to think about the two texts and to craft a provocative and intelligent response. Your blog should be about 500 words and your response to at least one peer (who does not already have a response) should be about 250 words. Original blog due on Friday by 11:59 and response by Sunday, Sept. 24 by 11:59.
You may have noticed the discussion in Taylor (2014) at the end of
Chapter 10 about oligopoly and the prisoner’s dilemma. The prisoner’s
dilemma is an example of game theory. A “game” is like a board game, as
your optimal move depends on what your opponent does. The same holds
in oligopoly, as your own decisions as to what price to charge or how
much to produce depend on what your competitors do.
I believe that both the Batman video and the other video I found
helped explain the concept of game theory. According to Jacob Clifford
(2016), game theory is the “study of strategic decision making.”
Initially, I wasn’t able to think of any situations that game theory
is useful for. However, when I started to think about it, I may have an
example. As my example, I am the head coach for a basketball team who is
playing against their rival. Player A is the rival team’s best
offensive player while Player B is my best defender. However, he isn’t a
good free-throw shooter. The scenario I will use is when the game is
close with a couple of minutes left in the 4th quarter. The four options
are: sub Player B in when Player A is subbed in to limit his
effectiveness while having the risk of being intentionally fouled to
disrupt the rhythm of the team, don’t sub Player B in when Player A is
subbed in to not disrupt the rhythm of the team while risking Player A
to be effective, sub Player B in when Player A isn’t subbed in to bring
extra defensive help while having the risk of being intentionally fouled
to disrupt the rhythm of the team, or neither player gets subbed in to
avoid disrupting the rhythm of the team, but sacrifice better defense.
Personally, I found the math equations/computations we’ve used in
class to be easier to follow. I enjoy working with numbers so clear-cut
equations are my “friends.”

I have watched a few of ACDCLeadership’s videos and have found them all corny, but easy to follow and learn from. I think the corniness of the videos helps the learning process. Rather listening to someone drone on about a potentially boring topic ACDCLeadership’s antics helped to keep my attention. I chose to watch a few different videos on concept of game theory to compare it to ACDCLeadership’s video. All were interesting, but I found myself starting to just listen to the other videos. A great example is about 1 minute into FLT Warwick’s video I started typing this narrative as the video played in the background. I find this topic interesting and could easily see how it can be useful. In the video Intro to Game Theory and the Dominant Strategy Equilibriumthe narrator talks about the prisoner dilemma, which shows that game theory can be used in numerous aspects of a person life. One simple example is using game theory to determine which investment firm would be best to use. I find game theory easier to use quickly as opposed to doing math equations/computations.

“Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add ‘within the limits of the law’ because law is often but the tyrant’s will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.” – Thomas Jefferson
For the last two modules, you have been using a template called the Science Tool Kit to guide your work in analyzing news articles that bring the public information from scientific research. In this module, we are expanding our definition of science to include technology and engineering, since they are crucial in considering our energy resources, needs, and plans for the future of our planet.
For this assignment, we will drill down (pun intended) on the controversies that surround hydraulic fracturing, typically shortened to “hydro-fracking”, for natural gas. This process is not new, but technological innovations in recent years have made it a much more practical and widespread technique to obtain natural gas. Fracking has supporters and detractors, but many states are now allowing fracking, and the practice is so widespread and effective that the prices for natural gas have fallen precipitously in recent years. However, there have been a host of environmental concerns with the rapid increase in the use of fracking. These include health issues created by water and air pollutants, damage to once wild and pristine environments that cannot be undone, and also earthquakes.
This assignment asks you to analyze an article from a Houston newspaper by A. Kuchment that reviews recent research on the increase in the number of earthquakes in Texas. This increase has apparently been linked to the increased use of fracking techniques. The US Geologic Survey has also published information on this issue. Learn more from the following reading and viewing opportunities before you begin the assignment.
Participating in this activity will enable you to demonstrate mastery of Module Level Outcome 2.
You are also encouraged to do your own research through our library on the topic. Do not forget to include in-text citations and complete APA style references for all sources. The Excelsior Library Citation Tip Sheets and Resources (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. will be a helpful guide. You may also wish to use a citation generator – you just insert the information, and it creates the citation in the format you indicate (MLA or APA, for example). Here are 3 citation generators to choose from:

For this assignment you will apply the first step of the scientific method by identifying a topic and explaining its importance in the field of psychology. Choose a topic of interest to you in psychology that is relevant to your current or future career, and search the databases in the Ashford University Library for a published peer-reviewed literature review on the topic. Evaluate the literature review and describe whether or not it provides multiple perspectives and or results on the topic, or if the author is including only those studies that prove his or her original hypothesis. Using the literature review as a reference, compare the characteristics of the different research methods that have been used to study this topic. Summarize what is known about the topic based on the evidence presented in the literature review.
The paper
Must be two to three double-spaced pages in length (not including title and reference pages) and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
Must include a separate title page with the following:
1 .Do you track your progress in any activity, such as running, dieting, and skill level in a sport or video game? Why or why not? What does this indicate about your desire for feedback?
2 .Discuss the “the customer is always right” attitude. Pick one question and answer it in depth.
As a customer, do you believe that you are always right and that companies should cater to what you want to have?
As an employee, what do you do when you believe the customer is right, but the company leaves you no option to assist the customer?
As the management of a business, what can you do to empower your employees to help customers, but prevent them from “giving away the farm?”
Instructions
3. In 200-250 word count respond to the following:
You are manager of a medical practices facility. You are concerned about the “patient experience” of your customers. The organization recently opened new offices and hired additional reception people and office personnel but the number of doctors is the same.
Other feedback suggests that patients get frustrated when waiting too long for a doctor, that the examination rooms are sometimes too cold, and that they are concerned about the spread of germs in the waiting room.
How could you gather more information about these issues and get other concerns voiced? Be careful to not ask “leading” questions. Let the participant express thoughts in his or her own words. Assume you will have 12 people in the group and all have visited the practice within the past two months.
