Write a project charter.

Continue using the Project Charter/Project Management Plan template that you previously submitted, and add the new pertinent information for the following sections: Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Project Schedule, Budget, Communications Matrix, and Risk Matrix.

Based on the project charter that you developed in Unit 1, you will now proceed with your project planning. You have determined that you need to define the scope and complete your work breakdown structure (WBS) to the lowest level work package, which will help you develop the activities for the project schedule. You will also determine the overall project budget and plan the communications within the project. You will identify risks that may affect the project. The requirements for this section are as follows:

  • Define the scope: Determine what the project objective will be, and define the scope of the project.
  • Create the WBS: Start with the high-level deliverable, and add the lower level elements to include the lowest level work package.
  • Develop the project schedule: Based on the work packages, determine the activities for the project schedule, and add planned beginning and end dates for the activities. You should have a minimum of 10 activities.
  • Determine the budget: Using the WBS and project schedule, determine the overall project budget. Include major categories such as materials, labor, and other expenses.
  • Plan communications: Using the stakeholders you identified in the project charter, create a matrix to show the plan for communicating with these stakeholders. Include each stakeholder’s name, the content to be communicated, the frequency of communication, and the method.
  • Identify risks: Additionally, identify the risks that are associated with the project. Include both threats and improvement opportunities.

race, gender and sport

Consider Earl Smith’s notion of an “athletic industrial complex.” In your initial post, respond to these questions:

  1. What are some examples of how student athletes function as exploited labor, given the relationship between intercollegiate athletics and profit-generating global economic institutions?
  2. As part of one of the most successful conferences in the NCAA, where does ASU fit into this discussion?

(1) an initial post of no less than 200 words responding to the assignment question(s); and (2) a response post of no less than 100 words responding to the post of one of your peers. You are encouraged to use the discussion board as a form of dialogue among the class, so you may post more than one response. You will be graded on the first response post. Grades are based on the time you post and that you meet the minimum word count. Late posts will receive 0 points; posts submitted on time but under the word count will be deducted 2 points.

Break a Norm Experiment Essay

Deviance is the label sociologists use to describe behavior that violates cultural norms. Norms include the expectations and rules that guide our behavior, appearance, manners, gestures, body language, conduct, et cetera. For this assignment, your task is to break a norm and write about your experience, as follows:

  • Choose one norm to break as long as it is within the guidelines for legal behavior. Examples of acceptable norm violations include dressing in a manner that would be considered eccentric or inappropriate for a given social situation or invading someone’s personal space.

In a 2- to 3-page paper, double-spaced, include the following:

  • Explain which norm you broke and why you chose it. Discuss what the appropriate behavior for the situation you chose would typically require (for example, if you are violating a dress code, discuss what you would normally wear in that situation).
  • Discuss why your behavior violated those norms and the reaction you received upon breaking them.
  • Apply one sociological theory of deviance to interpret the response to your behavior. Begin by briefly discussing the key aspects of the theory you have chosen and then explain why that theory is useful for understanding your norm-breaking experiment. The Why Are People Deviant? lecture provides an overview of the major sociological theories of deviance.

Submissions should be in APA format, with a title page and reference page. Refer to and cite at least lecture from the link, Why Are People Deviant (link found above) in the body of your paper and in the reference list.

Save your assignment as a Microsoft Word document.

Employee Turnover and Future Staffing Needs, health and medicine homework help

A high employee turnover in any industry can be a concern, more so in those that are customer centered. Industries that deal with people’s health are in an even more precarious position. Healthcare organizations with high attrition must consider how a “revolving door” of care providers affects the quality of care the organization is able to provide and the satisfaction of patients with their overall experience. HR professionals are responsible for staffing positions, training employees, providing benefits, and handling any problems or disciplinary actions. The day-to-day responsibilities of managing the workforce can leave little time for long-range planning.

Tasks:

In a minimum of 200 words, post to the Discussion Area your responses to the following:

  • How does a high employee turnover rate impact the operations in a healthcare organization?
    • Give examples of one clinical and one nonclinical position in your answer. For example, what is the effect of a high turnover among lab technicians and among billing staff?
  • What data may be gathered and analyzed to assess the reasons for employee turnover? What additional data might HRM gather?
  • What would you use for forecasting metrics for current and future staffing needs?
    • Give an example of a particular healthcare setting (e.g., urban or rural, large or small hospital, or primary or tertiary care).
  • What best practices would you recommend for reducing healthcare employee turnover? Explain at least three such best practices and their positive affect on a healthcare organization.
  • Among clinical staff, would you target any particular age group for retention efforts? For example, would you make greater effort to retain younger staff for the organization’s long-term staffing needs or would you rather retain more experienced employees to improve the quality of care?

Provide reasons and evidence in support of your responses.

Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences, psychology homework help

Gardner’s
Multiple Intelligences was developed by psychologist Howard Gardner who
suggested that we each possess different degrees of each of the eight
intelligence types he proposed. He argued that we should not be asking
the question, “How Smart Are You?” Instead, he believed we should ask,
“How are you smart?”

After reading about Gardner’s Multiple
Intelligences in your PSYCH4 textbook (Chapter 7 “The Theory of Multiple
Intelligences”), take some time to listen to author and education
expert Sir Ken Robinson. In the video, “How Are You Intelligent?”
Robinson discusses how our current educational system tends to stifle
creativity, and he challenge our view of intelligence.

Link to Video:

  • Do you agree or disagree with Gardner and Robinson’s views on intelligence?
  • What were you taught about intelligence as you were growing up?
  • What areas of intelligence should our public educational institutions focus on, based on your reading? Why?
  • Can you identify with two or three of Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences that describe your type of intelligence?
  • Can you provide examples of why you identify with these intelligence descriptions?

culturally diverse

Early childhood classrooms in the United States are filled with culturally diverse students. As an early childhood educator, you can help prepare this future generation of children to succeed in school. Chapter 1 of the textbook describes different strategies educators can use to support children in their classroom success.

After reading Chapter 1, create a poster showcasing five strategies that early childhood educators can utilize in the classroom to foster success. The poster should include an explanation of each strategy and how it will enhance your teaching in the classroom. Your strategies should be supported by details that are factual, relevant, and credible. Be as creative as you wish with your poster using pictures and visuals. You may choose to create your poster using Microsoft Word, or a similar program.
