Developing Research Questions

Review the guidelines for developing research questions in Ch. 7 of Research Design.

Write the following for the type of research study you are planning to propose:

  • One or two central questions, with five to seven subquestions for a qualitative study
  • One set of descriptive questions for a quantitative study
  • One set of inferential questions for a quantitative study
  • One question that incorporates the procedures for a mixed-methods study
  • One question which incorporates the content for a mixed-methods study

Use appropriate APA style and citations.

ONCE YOU SEND ME A FINISHED QUESTIONS I WILL BE ABLE TO RETRIVE WORK FROM ONE OF MY CLASSMATES SO THAT YOU CAN CONDUCT A PEER REVIEW ON THIER WORK.

power point, advocacy pitch, for Mental/Public Health Issues with Juveniles

As a scholar-practitioner, you may have the opportunity to advocate for an issue (Mental/Public
Health Issues with Juveniles) before a senator, congressional representative, special interest group, or others who could help to advance your recommended intervention. How will you ensure that your message is communicated effectively?

When you interact with influential politicians and other leaders, you may have only a few minutes to present your case. You must be prepared to communicate in a clear, succinct, and persuasive manner and provide evidence to support your argument. Projecting a professional image will encourage others to take your message seriously. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to the details of your appearance; speak with a calm, confident tone of voice, and select high-quality visuals to support your presentation.

For this final project component, you create a 5-minute advocacy pitch to a target audience of your choosing.

create the contents for your advocacy pitch, using the primer as a guide. As directed in the primer, be sure to consider the role of ethics as you create the contents of your pitch. (In the Week 11 Discussion, you will discuss the ethical theory that guided your work in the advocacy pitch.) Also identify at least two scholarly sources that you will cite to better support the need for policy change

Be sure that your advocacy pitch synthesizes the following:

  • State your background and affiliation.
  • Frame the public health issue to a specific course of action.
  • Articulate multidisciplinary points that are most impactful to the issue or population(s) affected, citing at least two scholarly resources that emphasize these points.
  • Specify why you are bringing this public health issue to his/her/their attention and identify opportunities to help.

Applied Approaches – Discussion

The readings for Unit 4 illustrate the importance of setting up the physical classroom environment in order to prevent interfering and unwanted behaviors and to create a more effective learning environment. You were introduced to proactive approaches to avoid behavioral problems that included the design of rules, routines, and schedules. Finally, applied behavior analysis and its theories and approaches were introduced.

With these basics of classroom management in mind, discuss the following:

1. Preventive, supportive, and corrective discipline. Define each of these approaches and discuss them in terms of proactive, active, and reactive strategies to classroom management.

2. Design two classroom rules and evaluate how they line up with the characteristics of effective classroom rules? What are the rewards for compliance? What are the consequences for non-compliance?

3. What are the three criteria for operationally defining a target behavior?

4. Describe four measurable dimensions of behavior.

Please use this textbook only, Behavior and Classroom Management in the Multicultural Classroom: Proactive, Active, and Reactive Strategies Edition: 1st (2015) Author: Terry Shepherd and Diana Linn to answer this discussion and out of this textbook the chapters we are doing this week are Chapter 5: “The Learning Environment” and Chapter 8: “Functional Behavior Assessment”. Please do not use any outside sources thank you. This discussion must be 300-350 words

Organizational Communication Mini Project

For this assignment, you will research the different ways that managers and leaders use communication to guide their organizations.

Feel free to use the same organization you researched for the Unit VI Case Study. You are not limited to this organization, but it may be easier to complete the assignment since you have already researched the organization in Unit VI. You can use the same sources for both assignments, if applicable.

Find an instance where the organizational leader communicates directly with his or her employees, investors, or customers. Analyze the message, the channel, and the potential for feedback. Do you believe that it is effective? Do you believe that it is the same type of message that a manager would send? Why, or why not?

Remember to focus on the communication styles of both leaders and managers. Strive for an equal balance between the two types of communication styles in your assignment.

Example: The Apple events that occur in Cupertino whenever Apple unveils a new product or service are examples of the type of communication you should be analyzing in this assignment. During the events, CEO Tim Cook addresses an audience of employees, investors, and the general public. Cook uses multiple channels to communicate with the audience, including a live face-to-face discussion, live streaming of the discussion, and a recorded video. For the assignment, you would view one of the events, analyze Cook’s message and the effectiveness of the channels, and discuss the potential for feedback. Analyze whether or not the message is an effective example of leadership. Explain whether or not you believe a manager could, or should, use the same types of channels to relay a message. Would it be effective?

Note: You do not need to use Apple for this assignment. It is provided as an example only.

Use the standard five-paragraph format (introduction/body/conclusion). Include at least two academic sources. APA format should be used. The assignment should be a minimum of two pages in length, not including the title and reference pages. Content, organization, and grammar/mechanics will be evaluated.

15 page research POLITICAL ISLAM IN THE MIDDLE EAST

i have not chose a topic but i have what my professor suggested for me you can choose what ever he talked about but DONT DIG TO MUCH .

Final Research Project –

Throughout the semester, students must work with in consultation with the professor
to developing a final research project that relates to the topic of political Islam. While it is
expected that some course materials will be used, the bulk of the project should be based on
outside sources. It is also expected that each project will analyze at least one primary source –
whether they be writings by Islamists, Islamist films, websites, interviews with
proponents/critics, etc. – used in appropriate context. The finished product should be a 15-20
page paper with correct-form footnotes plus a separate bibliography.

Finding a topic that is original, meaningful, and manageable is rewarding, but also a
challenge. Therefore, I recommend that you keep a list of possible ideas from the
beginning of the semester. Partway through the semester, I will ask each student to submit
two possible project ideas for me to consider. The final project will be due printed out in CLASS

Topic Suggestion –

You could write a paper that compares that with another text (maybe something by Hasan al-Banna or sayyid qutb) or that analyzes some aspect of it by itself (like “does it encourage violence?” Or “what does he think about monarchy?”). Basing this around analyzing a text will help you to make sure your paper is focused clearly on a few things you can prove, I’d suggest taking a look at that book just quickly if you haven’t read it before; you might be surprised that it’s actually simpler and easier to understand than you would expect. You can find it here:https://www.missionislam.com/knowledge/books/tawhe… “kitab al tawhid book” Even so, if you look at it and still decide it’s going to be too difficult, then I suggest taking a look at a particular movement, and one particular aspect of that movement; “How does Nahda (or the Muslim brotherhood, or the AK party) understand democracy?” “how does ISIS understand violence?” “how does Hezbullah talk about reading the Qur’an?”. A lot of those questions will still not be specific enough — so you may need to compare them with another movement or using another dimension: how does the Muslim brotherhood talk about violence now (or between 2000-2013) vs the way they talked about violence in the 1930’s and 40’s? How does Hezbullah’s approach to democracy compare to Nahda’s approach? How does the role of women (or the role of poor people, or the role of educated people) in mobilizing support compare between the AK party and the Iranian Revolution? So something like that. I honestly think that you will have an easier time focusing on one or two texts (in whatever language is more comfortable for you) and analyzing those than doing a lot of extra research at this point, but it’s your choice.

Investigating Abuse Cases and Legal Issues in Counseling

Part 1

3-4 paragraphs

Since the after-school conference, Anne has missed 15 of the last 20 days of school. When she does attend, she is very quiet and tends to stay by herself. Anne also claims to be sick every time she has to go to gym class. The teacher has attempted to call her home to find out why Anne is missing so much school. On one occasion, Anne’s father answers the phone and curses at the teacher and hangs up. After this conversation, the teacher is very concerned about Anne’s safety and consults the principal. A decision is made to contact child protective services (CPS). You are the assigned investigator from CPS.

Draft a 3-4 paragraph memo outlining how you will begin your investigation. Be sure to include and discuss the following:

  • Which persons do you need to interview and why? Provide a minimum of three people you must interview.
  • What information would you expect to learn from each person you interview? Provide a minimum of two pieces of information you would expect to collect from these interviews.
  • What allegations do you feel could be present in this case? Provide a minimum of two.
  • When responding to your peers’ postings, consider whether you agree with the allegations they posed as possibilities. Are those the only allegations? What other people might they not have considered interviewing? What other information should be sought?

Part 2

300-500 words

You are a supervising chemical dependency counselor at a rehabilitation hospital. Your role is to facilitate individual counseling and therapy sessions for your clients who are recovering from alcohol and substance abuse. In the midst of this, you are responsible for the intern counselors assisting you in this department.

Client privacy and confidentiality are incredibly important to the success of the client/counselor relationship. The client must trust that the counselor will maintain the client’s privacy and confidentiality whenever possible. This trust is essential to the client’s successful treatment. In discussing privacy and confidentiality, one must address HIPAA and the Privacy Rule.

Discuss in-service training on HIPAA and the Privacy Rule including the following 5 points:

  • Why is HIPAA important, and why is the Privacy Rule important?
  • Is HIPAA the only set of rules or laws that govern client privacy issues, and is it more powerful than state laws?
  • What responsibilities do chemical dependency counselors have to their clients as a result of HIPAA? Include minimum necessary information.
  • What are the exceptions to client confidentiality?
  • What is informed consent?

Remember your answers are for counselors new to the profession, so it is necessary to stress the importance of following HIPAA and respecting a client’s rights.
