Field analysis

Please see the attachments and pleas answer all the questions:

General information and instructions:

  • Review text pages 137–139 in Chapter 4. These pages cover step 9 in the planning process, assessing the social context of negotiation.
  • The field analysis tool is helpful when negotiators have to consider multiple parties—on their own side and on the other side—who can affect a negotiation outcome, and whose needs and interests must be considered.
  • Take note that the soccer field (see diagram below) is a metaphor for a two-party multi-stakeholder contract negotiation.

Specific information and instructions:

  • Assume that you are the negotiator who is tasked with a salary (on call time, step increases, overtime for captains and majors) and benefits (insurance while employed, insurance after retirement, accrual of leave time, retirement multipliers) dispute between a large municipal county with a strong mayor and the sheriff’s department for the county.
  • You are negotiating the contract on behalf of the sheriff’s office. The purpose of this activity is to give you an opportunity to construct a field analysis on your relationship with a specific other negotiator. This tool should be helpful when negotiators have to consider multiple parties—on their own side and on the other side—who can affect a negotiation outcome, and whose needs and interests must be considered.
  • The field has the following stakeholders.
    • On the field would be members of your team and members of the other team (A, B).
    • On the sidelines are backup players, coaches, trainers, and other team personnel (C).
    • In the stands are fans who are watching the negotiation, members of the media, and other direct observers (D).
    • The elements outside the stadium—the location of the stadium, the weather, and other “context factors” which can shape how the game evolves and is played (E)
  • Questions are presented in identical pairs (1, 2; 3, 4; 5, 6; and 7, 8) but answers will not necessarily be the same.
  • Questions 7 and 8 have four sub-parts, which require answers in each sub-part.
  • Place your answers in the boxes provided in this form. Boxes will expand as needed.

Simulation and Risk Analysis Case Study

Details:

The purpose of this assignment is to use analytics techniques to analyze a case problem.

Read Case Study 12.3 “Sound’s Alive Company” from the textbook.

Use Frontline Analytic Solver Platform to set up a simulation model
and run a simulation for the case. Use the “Topic 3 Case Study Template”
file as a starting point.

After the simulation is run, create statistical distributions to
describe the discrete probability behavior (mean, standard deviation,
etc.) of the Materials, Overhead, Tax Rate, and SG&A Rate discrete
probability distributions.

following. Include relevant charts and graphs within your summary, as
needed.

the years 2015 through 2018, and the expected NPV for this business
    venture.
  3. The Board of Trustees told Marissa that the stockholders would feel
comfortable with this business venture if its NPV is at least $5
million. Discuss the chances that Sound’s Alive home theater venture
will result in an NPV of $5 million or more.
  4. Discuss which discrete probability distribution has the most dispersion and explain why.
  5. Based on the NPV statistical distributions and other information
gleaned from your analysis, discuss the specific prescribed course of
action you would recommend to company management and justify your
recommendations. Include discussion of how the proposed analytics
solutions can optimize organizational performance and effectiveness.

The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. Essay

Topic of essay:
The
Israeli-Palestinian Conflict.

Outline:

The
Israeli-Palestinian Conflict is
actually continuing with the creation
of the state of Israel by the UN decision in 1947. In fact, it is
part of a more general Arab-Israeli conflict.

The main causes of the conflict:

Arabs living in the Gaza and the West Bank are
seeking to establish their own independent state, Israel opposes it.

From the
beginning of the 1970s, Israel creates settlements on Palestine and
others the Arab territories which were occupied by Izrael in1967. The
Security Council and the General Assembly have repeatedly stated that
the establishment of Israeli settlements in the occupied

Palestinian
territories contradicts the norms of international law.

The
problem of military confrontation, the focus of which are terrorist
organizations and radicalism. Since 2000, in the Arab world, there
has been an increase in radical parties that co-operate with
terrorist organizations.

The
status of Jerusalem.

Consequently,
the position of states is reduced to the support of their “region”,
in which they see the establishment of their own interests and
strategic plans. The Arab countries are set to return to the borders
of 1967, and this is seen as a solution to the conflict. The Israeli
side disagrees with the proposed formula “peace in the exchange
territory,” since it understands this loss of independence, on
the contrary, proposes to achieve a comprehensive peace without
losses on both sides, but this plan is not accepted by the Arab side.

The
paper needs to:

  1. Introduce
    the topic.
  2. Present
the key players (usually, but not exclusively, individual states)
    and their goals.
  3. Present
several likely scenarios of the unfolding of the game.
  4. Evaluate
the likelihood of the scenarios based on the literature concerning
the theoretical aspects of strategic thinking that was covered

Applying Managerial Accounting Concepts to the Service Industry

Many of the concepts in managerial accounting were first developed for the manufacturing environment. Do you think the same concepts, such as variable costs, fixed costs, mixed costs, and job order costing, can also be applied to the service industry? Why or why not? Focus on a particular service or service industry and illustrate your position with specific examples.

Your well-written paper should meet the following requirements:

  • Be 5 pages in length, not including the cover or reference pages.
  • Formatted according to APA writing guidelines.
  • Support your interpretation with evidence from the textbook

Warren, C. S., Reeve, J. M., & Duchac, J. (2016). Managerial accounting (13th ed.). Boston, MA: Cengage
Learning. ISBN 9781285868806

and at least 3 scholarly, peer-reviewed journal articles, other than the required article in the module readings. It’s helpful to search for articles from the SEU Library.

  • Utilize headings to organize the content in your work.
