One of the little girls at the shelter lost her favorite “American Girl” doll and has been crying about her lost doll since she and her family arrived at the shelter. Today, you see that a “American Girl” doll gift is tagged to another child at the shelter. What do you do?

View Problem Scenario A to learn more about the relationship between Joe, the salesman for UWEAR, and Bill, the customer. This scenario provides key information in helping formulate answers for assignments this week.

In this Discussion Board, you will conduct a debate regarding the ethical nature of Bill and Joe’s relationship. Apply materials from Beyond the Book, the M.U.S.E., intellipath, and independent research to support your view. Make the reasoning for your position clear.

If your last name begins with K–Z, argue that the nature of their relationship is not an ethical breach. Consider the following:

  • Does Joe’s relationship with Bill meet the definition of a conflict of interest?
  • Are Bill’s gifts a form of bribery?
  • Which ethical theory supports your view? Why?
  • What other ethical issues might be associated with the relationship between Bill and Joe?

Your APA Formatted paper should have the following structure:

  • The paper will approximate 2-3 pages of content, PLUS cover and reference pages.
  • Ample course materials will be applied. This includes the LibGuide, MUSE, text and Intellipath. YOU MUST USE SEVEN REFERENCE SOURCES
  • Use APA format. A template is available in Learning Center Writing Support Center (AND IN THE WEEK 1 COURSE MATERIALS)

No Plagarism APA format

Each student will select two of the ranking scales of evidence tools and complete the grid related to contrasting the 2 ranking scales of evidence tools. The faculty will provide an assigned manuscript to be used for this assignment. With the material collected through the synthesis of the grid material, the student will use the two tools to score the assigned article. A narrative (approximately ¾ page per tool) will be provided addressing the scoring of the article based on the tool along with the rationale for the different scores. A final paragraph (approximately ½ page) will be provided discussing the effectiveness of each tool – Which tool was easier to use? Why? What aspects within the tool were “on track” for providing a level of the evidence within the assigned article?

Socioeconomic Status and Victimization

Socioeconomic status can affect an individual’s vulnerability to becoming a victim, the types of crimes committed, and can even contribute to different experiences within the criminal justice system. Research supports the finding of a strong relationship between victimization and socioeconomic status, and there is indication of a growing disparity since the 1970s, with the poorest groups in America at an increasingly high risk of victimization (Thacher, 2004). In a 2008 national survey, the violent crime rate was over 44 per thousand for people with an annual family income of less than $7,500. This can be compared with a rate of 12.9 per thousand for people with an annual family income of $75,000 or more (U.S. Department of Justice, 2010).

Socioeconomic status is likely to affect the type of crimes to which people are most vulnerable. However, these relationships may be changing. A 1999 study showed that burglary, which targeted the affluent slightly more than the poor in the 1970s, had increased substantially among the poor by 1999. Conversely, homicide, once thought to be much more common among the less affluent, now appears to occur at high income levels (at least among Whites) as frequently as it occurs among those with lower income levels (Levitt, 1999).

In addition to its influence on the level and type of victimization, socioeconomic status may influence the type of experience a victim has with the criminal justice system. As you learned in this week’s Discussion, this is a complex and controversial issue.

For this Assignment, select one of the victims you have previously reviewed in the media. Consider how factors related to the victim’s socioeconomic status may have contributed to the victim’s vulnerability, the type of crime committed, and his or her experience with the criminal justice system.

The Assignment (2–3 pages):

  • Identify the victim you selected from the Interactive Community.
  • Explain which factors related to socioeconomic status might have contributed to the vulnerability of the victim.
  • Explain which factors related to socioeconomic status might have contributed to the type of crime committed against the victim.
  • Explain how the victim’s socioeconomic status might have contributed to different experiences with the criminal justice system.

Two to three pages with at least three references….

It is important that you cover all the topics identified in the assignment. Covering the topic does not mean mentioning the topic BUT presenting an explanation from the readings.

To get maximum points you need to follow the requirements listed for this assignments 1) look at the page limits 2) review and follow APA rules 3) create SUBHEADINGS to identify the key sections you are presenting and 4) Free from typographical and sentence construction errors.

write the short essay

The stranger ;https://www.macobo.com/essays/epdf/CAMUS,%20Albert…

Read up through the end of chapter 4 of The Stranger, reading very slowly and making note of any moments where Camus uses imagery from “nature” or where you can relate to Mr. Meursault, our protagonist (a real “character”!)
Write a scene from your own life, with lots of concrete, sensory detail, where you describe a moment of feeling trapped or powerless, like you couldn’t escape. Think about a situation where, like Meursault, you felt like you HAD to be where you were and you didn’t want to be there at all!
(You could be riding the shuttle!)
(You could be on an uncomfortable date, or at an awkward dinner!)

Describe it slowly, really slow down and bring in lots of detail. It doesn’t need to tell a story. Make sure you are using full, vivid sentences to bring your reader deeply into your own particular bad situation.

This should be 500 words minimum.

Portfolio for stocks (Powerpoint and Word Document)

During the last week of the semester, you will submit a brief report and make a
presentation. The presentation and report will describe what stocks you traded in during
the game period (name of the company and ticker symbol), the criteria you used to buy
or sell particular stocks (in particular, you need to highlight what you learned during the
course to improve your trading performance), a note on your overall performance, and
if you would do anything different in future trading to further improve your
performance.

(11) Your project grade will be based primarily on how thorough you were in your analysis
of the stocks you chose and the portfolio you formed, and not on the performance of your
portfolio. Remember that I am more interested in whether you applied the concepts and
not so much in how well your portfolio did.

(12) You will gain the most out of this project if you think as if you have invested your own
$100,000 for this project. Think about how careful you would be if it was your own
money and use that same caution and prudent judgments in making your trading
decisions. All of us make mistakes, but it is better to make mistakes with fake money
rather than real money, and this project provides you an opportunity to learn from your
mistakes for your future investments.

Please do a powerpoint and report on this project
