When faced with a problem, what do you do to solve it? In this SLP
assignment you will apply a systematic approach to problem solving. SLP
1 is divided into two (2) parts. In Part I, of the
assignment, you will read three (3) articles that present variations on
step-by-step problem solving strategies and then select one (1) of these
strategies; you will engage in pre-writing to develop a solution to a
problem scenario. In Part II of the assignment, you will present a synthesis of your ideas about solving the problem. As Voltaire said, “No problem can withstand the assault of sustained thinking.”

There are multiple elements to this SLP. Please make sure that
you follow the requirements very carefully and double-check your work
against the requirements before uploading.

Part I

Preparation and Pre-writing: Follow the steps below to explore a problem through reading and writing –

1. Choose one (1) of the problem scenarios as a topic choice for your paper

Scenario 1: You have worked at your company for
eleven (11) years. You have returned to college to earn a Bachelor’s
degree in order to increase your chances for a promotion. You are nearly
finished with your degree; a supervisor’s position in a competing
company becomes available in another state. The start date is in two (2)
weeks, during your final exam period for your courses. The position
offers a $15,000 per year salary increase, a car allowance, and
relocation expenses. Your former supervisor works for the company and is
recommending you for the position based on your outstanding job
performance; if you want the job, it’s yours. All of the other
supervisors at this level in the company have Master’s degrees. You know
that you would be expected to earn your Bachelor’s degree and continue
on to a Master’s degree. Your present company offers tuition
reimbursement, but the new company does not.

Scenario 2: Your child comes home from school with
an assignment sheet for a school project. He / she is very excited about
the project and begins work immediately, doing research on the Internet
and gathering materials. You read over the assignment sheet and notice
that your child is not including all of the required items in the
project, and you have some ideas for how to improve the quality of the
presentation. You recently read an article in a parenting magazine about
the importance of a child developing responsibility for his / her own
learning. You recall the many ways in which your parents took over your
school projects. You, on the other hand, want to encourage your child’s
confidence in his / her ability to complete a project independently. The
next day, you are at the grocery store when you see a parent of a
student in your child’s class. That parent has spent over $30 in
supplies for the science project and is taking a day off of work to put
the pieces of the project together.

Scenario 3: You have two jobs—one during the week
from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, and one on Saturday from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
You are taking two classes—one that meets from 6:00 to 10:00 pm, and one
class online. You have two kids—one who plays soccer, and one who is in
band. You have two elderly parents who no longer drive. You have two
siblings—one who lives two (2) miles away, and one who lives in another
state. You have two (2) papers due in your classes the same week that
one (1) of your children has a soccer tournament, and the other child
has a band concert. You are coaching the soccer team, and you are in
charge of fundraising for the band. You have a goal to complete your
degree in two (2) years. Your doctor tells you that your blood pressure,
your cholesterol, and your weight are too high and recommends several
medications that cost you nearly $200 per month after your insurance
co-pay.

Scenario 4: You are a sales representative for a
company that encourages staff to log time in the field and away from the
office. You are expected to begin and end your day at the office. You
notice that each day when you arrive and return another co-worker is
already there, and you wonder whether this person spends most of his /
her time at the office. At your weekly sales meeting, you are informed
of your co-workers’ outstanding sales performance. You suspect that this
co-worker is spending more time flattering the boss instead of working
leads in the field, and as a result is getting the best client
referrals. Your own sales numbers have steadily decreased since this
other sales representative was hired.

2. Read the following articles:

3. Select one (1) of the step-by-step problem solving strategies
outlined in one (1) of the articles. Using the chosen problem solving
strategy as a model, brainstorm ideas for each of the steps to develop a
solution to the problem scenario you chose.

Part II Synthesizing and Writing: Now that you have developed a solution to the problem by pre-writing about your ideas –

Write a paper in which you:

  1. Analyze the problem scenario that you have chosen, and organize your
analysis into sections that correlate to each step in the selected
    problem solving strategy.
  2. Apply each step within the selected problem solving strategy to related elements of the scenario that you have chosen.
  3. Suggest alternative actions to the situation(s) within the scenario
that correspond to each of the steps within the selected problem solving
    strategy.
  4. Speculate on whether or not the same problem-solving strategy would be effective if used with different scenarios.

The paper should follow guidelines for clear and organized writing:

  • Write at least one paragraph for each of 1-4 above using complete sentences.
  • Address main ideas in body paragraphs with a topic sentence and supporting sentences.
  • Adhere to standard rules of English grammar, punctuation, mechanics, and spelling.
  • After you have reread and edited your paragraphs, add an introductory paragraph and concluding paragraph.
  • Your introductory paragraph should begin with a broad sentence such as “There are many approaches to solving any problems…” or “When faced with a problem I find…” Then continue with more specific information about what you will discuss in your paper.
  • Your concluding paragraph should summarize your problem solving
approach and reflect on the things you have learned from the assignment.

SLP Assignment Expectations

In addition to the above writing guidelines, your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

  1. Center the title, your name, and date on a separate page. Use Times New Roman, 14 point
    1. Bold the title only
  2. Set Left and Right margins at 1 inch
  3. Number the pages
  4. Include a References section using the guidelines from the Trident University Writing Style Guide (Mullen, Timothy. 2014. Trident University Writing Guide. Accessed on June 20, 2016 at https://mytlc.trident.edu/index.php). Include this site as a reference in addition to the three articles that you read on problem solving.
  5. Upload your document as a Word .doc or .pdf into the SLP 1 dropbox by the module due date.

Comprehensive Marketing Plan.. must follow the template exactly for cable tv goo

Comprehensive Marketing Plan.. must follow the template exactly for cable tv good news station.

This is for marketing
management! The product/service being marketed is a new television station on
cable that only has good news stories as opposed to all the bad news on CNN and
Fox and the other news channels.  I need a comprehensive strategic marketing
plan from the ground up as follows:

STRATEGIC
MARKETING PLAN

INTRODUCTION

This assignment
entails development of a comprehensive strategic marketing plan for a new
product or service that is ready to “go to market”. A Project Template is
provided that allows you to organize your work in increments and see how the
sections come together to produce a comprehensive plan.

PRODUCT/SERVICE

This assignment
requires application of concepts learned to build a strategic marketing plan
for a new product or service that is ready to “go to market”. You will not be
allowed to mimic plans or ideas from larger or already “in-place”
campaigns. You must develop the business concept in its entirety.

·
Describe the new product or service.

·
Discuss the qualities that make this product/service new to the
marketplace and the rationale for your decision to pursue the concept. Be sure
to pick a product or service that is ready to market. If you are developing a
new product, assume that the development phase is over and you are ready to
launch the product into the marketplace.

OBJECTIVES/MISSION
STATEMENT

Create a Mission
Statement. State your short-term MARKETING objectives (one year). Assume that
the product/service is ready to launch at the beginning of the year (planning
and testing have been completed).

·
Marketing objectives include goals for sales, profits, market
share (as examples)

·
Objectives need to be quantifiable. Use the SMART acronym –
simple, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-specific – in formulating
your objectives. An objective with a 100% goal is not acceptable

TARGET MARKET

Identify your
target market. Provide a specific demographic profile and rationale for this
decision. Another source that may help you: The US Census Bureau’s American
Fact Finder. Consider the size of the market and its purchasing power. Research
is required to back-up your selection and to provide statistics to show that it
is a viable market.

COMPETITION

Analyze your
competition. Who are they? Who are the biggest players? How large is the
market? What are the trends/forecasts in the industry? How does your
product/service fit in? Hoover’s Pro in the Library is a good tool for this
section

Just act like you are marketing this brand new good news tv cable station.  From the ground up! What I mean about good news is it’s a news station but only runs uplifting, positive, heroic type stories as opposed to the major news stations like CNN and FOX that runs bad news stories.  Act like you are the one creating it.. and go from there using the template for It I gave here.  Make sure everything in the rubic grading area is covered in the paper.  Thank you.

This is about restaurant

After reading the article “Jeanne B: New Bistro Doubling as Organic Take-out Delii.“, discuss why the author has established a take-out deli in Paris. Is this take-out deli targeted toward the residents of the city, or is it targeted toward weary travelers just arriving in the city? How will this deli benefit consumers and why?

———————————————————————————————————————————————-

There has been a trend in the fast food industry to add or emphasize specific ingredients that have specific health benefits. This can be seen in fish marketed as having omega-3 oils or adding salad to deep-fried chicken. What message does the public perceive from this marketing technique? ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Soul food restaurant

Write a two-page paper (not including the title and reference pages) describing the restaurant, customer demographics, and location. Demographics should include age, education, occupation, and income of desired clientele. You also need to discuss the competition of the restaurant selected.

1-1 Discussion: Financial Information

Begin by introducing yourself to the class, including a few sentences about your educational and professional background and your plans for the future. In what state or country are you located? Feel free to add something about your personality or interests.

Then, after doing the assigned text reading, read the HBR case study Evaluating the Organization: New Earth Mining, Inc. This case study can be located in your custom textbook/case study bundle.

In your initial post, describe the most important quantitative and qualitative information for understanding this case, and explain where that information comes from.

In responding to your peers, compare their views with your own in terms of what information is most important. Are there elements your peers have omitted? Provide reasoning to support your views.

Refer to the Discussion Rubric for directions on completing these discussions.

Edit the already written paper as the final paper

Respiratory Case Study

The respiratory system is responsible for making sure that the cells of the body have adequate oxygen in order to function as well as it is responsible for removing the cellular waste product carbon dioxide. If a disease process is present that affects the functioning of this system, the simple physiological processes will not occur at adequate levels.

  • Read the Respiratory Case Study
    • A patient with a chronic history of asthma develops new symptoms which include headache, body aches, fever and a dry cough. The patient also notes that they feel like they are having a change in their normal typical asthma symptoms and are struggling more than normal to breathe. The symptoms continue for a few days before they see their physician. Upon physical examination the healthcare provider notices the following: temperature of 101.8°F, respiratory rate of 24 which is higher than the normal 16-20, audible wheezing, and oxygen saturation of 90%. The healthcare provider also performed a nasal swab and diagnosed the patient with Influenza. Treatment for the patient consisted of asthma medication and Corticosteroids.
  • Download the case study worksheet.
  • Answer the following questions, including detail and appropriate explanations:
    • Describe the normal anatomy of the respiratory system that would be affected by asthma.
    • Explain the process of normal inspiration and expiration and relate it to Boyle’s Law.
    • Describe how asthma changes the normal anatomy and physiology.
    • What does the term oxygen saturation refer to? What is the normal value?
    • What is the typical treatment for asthma and how does it improve asthma symptoms?
    • How do Corticosteroids help in the treatment of this patient?
    • What is the appropriate treatment for the diagnosis of Influenza?

Please be sure to validate your answers with citations and references in APA format.

Mental Measures for Juvenile Offenders, psychology homework help

DSM-5 is a standard diagnostic tool for psychiatric disorders. It contains three main sections: “DSM-5 Basics,” “Diagnostic Criteria and Codes,” and “Emerging Measures and Models.” The complete DSM archive (I–IV) plus eight reference books and four psychiatric journals are also available in the Capella library. DSM-5 is used by health professionals, social workers, and forensic and legal specialists to diagnose and classify mental disorders, providing concise and explicit criteria.

The Mental Measurements Yearbook (MMY) is a comprehensive guide to over 2,000 testing instruments in the areas of psychology, education, business, and leadership. Entries include publisher, test purpose, price, edited reviews, and purchase information, if available. It also contains additional information on reliability (getting the same results each time), validity (testing appropriate things), norming data, and scoring and reporting services. Foreign language versions of MMY are also available.

The MMY database is best used for exploration of tests and survey instruments. If you are researching tests for a course assignment, such as this one, the MMY is an excellent research tool.

Note: You may review the document Accessing the DSM-5 and the Mental Measurement Yearbook (given in the resources) to understand how to access these resources in the Capella library.

INSTRUCTIONS

For the assignment, create a 9–12-slide PowerPoint presentation for a group of trainee mental health professionals and legal representatives. In your presentation, explain three different measures that might be used to determine an appropriate diagnosis for a juvenile offender. The possible diagnoses are:

  • ADHD.
  • Oppositional defiance.
  • Conduct disorder.

You may see overlap in the measures you examine but be sure your rationale addresses why a particular measure supports your choice for the specific disorder.

  • Access the DSM-5 and find the criteria for each one of the disorders.
  • Access the MMY and find a measure that you would use for each of the disorders.
  • Include the following for each measure in your presentation:
    • A brief description of the disorder (based on DSM-5 but in your own words).
    • A description of the measure (based on the MMY but in your own words). Include primary audience, purpose, how the measure is administered, what it measures, and what its strengths and limitations are.
    • A rationale for your choice.

Be sure to use one slide to succinctly deliver each of the three main points. Put your notes or explanatory and expanded information for each of the main points using one of the following options:

  • On the following slide. (Do not use the Notes section because Turnitin cannot evaluate this section.) Important: These slides do not count toward the required 9–12 slides.
  • In a separate Word document. Label each set of notes in the Word document with the number and title of the slide to which the notes refer. Important: Be sure to submit this document also to the assignment area.

Police Operations Presentation

Create a 12- to 15-slide presentation on police operations in which you address the following:

  • What are the various functions of police agencies?
  • Under what authority are officers able to make arrests, conduct searches, and interrogate people?
  • Provide a minimum of two examples of police corruption or other police misconduct that have occurred in the last ten years. Include a summary of each situation and how the issues were handled. Be sure one of your examples is the article you presented and discussed with your collaborative group.
  • Does discretion play into police corruption and misconduct? Why or why not?

Format your presentation consistent with APA guidelines.
