In the “One Ingredient Project” proposal, students will research the scientific literature and write
an experiment design to investigate a particular chemical property of their ingredient. After receiving
feedback from the professor, students will review their proposal and proceed to perform the experiment
and prepare the display board.
Suppose that you are a food scientist that wants to investigate the chemical properties of
one food ingredient. I will like you to write proposal a cooking experiment using your one ingredient.
First, you should expend some time researching about the most relevant scientific and non-scientific
facts about your ingredient. Then, propose an experiment to answer one question about the ingredient.
The literature research will help you to generate informed ideas for the experiment design.
Begin the written report with a summary of the critical operations or supply chain management issues in the case.
Prepare answers to case questions at the end of the case.
Identify any other operations or supply chain management issues found in the case.
Recommend alternative courses of action to resolve the issues identified. Focus primarily on issues related to chapter readings in this part (Introduction, Process, Quality, Capacity, Inventory)
Proofread your report and submit it for consideration.
Follow up question:
Identify any points where your analysis differs from that proposed in the Case Analysis. Justify your position based on operations and supply chain management concepts or different interpretation of facts in the case.
Or if all of your solutions and recommendations were in alignment with the Case Analysis, bring up other issues you found not addressed in the case questions or identified in the Case Analysis.

Now that you have read the course material on jab safety analysis, you will create a JSA of your own based on a job (not a hazard) from a current or recent place of employment. At the top, label your sheet, “Job Safety Analysis for [name of job].” In one column on the left (A), write each step of the job from start to finish and number the job steps 1 – n. In the next column (B), list the hazards, if any, associated with each job step in column A. In Column C, listremedial measures including action needed, training, or PPE required to address and reduce the frequency/likelihood of the hazard. In Column D, which should be titled special considerations, note circumstances to note such as “infrequent task” or “special PPE needed” or “Refresher training necessary.”
part 2 :
Write a post describing one hazard at your current or recent place of employment (industry, manufacturing, construction all are ok ) created with multiple employers working in the same place at the same time. Then, respond to two of your classmates by listing at least three ways your employer might be liable under the MEWP. If you have not had personal experience with this type of hazard, you may write about a fictitious employer.
Part 3:
Select a training topic at your place of current or recent employment. Briefly describe the training and post it to the discussion board. Then, respond to two of your classmates by listing two reasons why the training was necessary. If you have not had personal experience with this type of training, you may write about a fictitious employer.
Complete a two to three page (excluding title and reference pages) report on the progress you have made to date on your Senior Project. You must use a minimum of three scholarly sources. Your report, and any citations used, must be in APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center. Your progress report should cover the following:
Topic: Identify the topic that you have selected for your Senior Project and provide a brief explanation for why you have chosen to address this topic *This may be copied from the Week Two assignment if evaluated as Distinguished Performance. Otherwise, make adjustments per Week Two feedback.
Organization Specific Rationale: Provide a brief overview of the health care organization that you have selected for your Senior Project including a summary of the challenges and/or opportunities impacting the balance between health care costs, quality, and access to services that the organization is currently facing. The challenges and/or opportunities should directly relate to your rationale for why you have chosen your topic (i.e., training program) to help the organizational leaders manage this challenge/opportunity. Challenges and/or opportunities should be grounded in the research (e.g., web-based resources, electronic articles, or personal interviews). The more informed you are, the better prepared you will be to complete your Senior Project.
Training: Identify the audience for your training program and provide a brief outline of the topics it will address. Include a minimum of three to five learning outcomes that are targeted for your identified audience. Specifically, what do you want your audience to know and/or be able to do after they have completed training? How does this training program align with the overall challenges and/or opportunities that the organization is facing? Overall, how will the training program benefit the organization?

How can I practice critical analysis by attending a cultural performance or art museum in my community?
Here is your chance (well it is actually required) to experience something that we have only been able to study and discuss in the virtual classroom. For this assignment you will physically attend an art museum, music performance, theatrical production (a play or musical play), or dance concert. Below are some pre-approved museums you may visit if you live in these areas. If you live elsewhere, email your instructor for pre-approval. Note: You are NOT limited to a museum visit and you are NOT limited to events in the Bay area. Go see a show or concert if you can.
Check the St. Petersburg College Event Calendar for arts and cultural events. Most SPC events are free or have significantly reduced admission with your SPC ID. NOTE: SPC Events are limited in the Summer. But you are encouraged to find and select your own events too!
Other museums in the Bay Area or neighboring Orlando and Sarasota MIGHT be approved. It’s not that we don’t have other great museums in these areas, but the ones listed above are the only ones PRE-approved for this assignment.
If you CANNOT attend a “pre-approved” event/museum listed above, then you must e-mail me for “approval” prior to attending. In your email, provide a website for review. Approval is not guaranteed, so make sure you contact me beforehand.
This must be a “professional” level museum or performance (for example, it CANNOT be a high school play or a child’s music recital).
It is imperative that everyone understands that the “experience” needs to occur during this current semester. Events attended or museums visited prior to this semester cannot be used for this assignment.
Proof of Visit/Attendance:
Proving that you visited the museum or attended the event is one element of the assignment, so do not forget to get a dated ticket/receipt as outlined in the instructions or you will not receive credit. If the event is free and there is no ticket/receipt, then submit a clear picture of yourself at the event/museum (i.e. next to a painting at the museum or in front of the stage prior to the performance). Proof-of-visit should be extremely clear and specific and should not leave me second-guessing your having attended. If you have concerns about this, ask. Don’t take any chances.
You will find 4 worksheets that each outline a different experience in the Aesthetic Experience Essay instructions area. To complete this assignment, choose 1 of the 4 types of experiences, complete the instructions outlined in the appropriate worksheet, and upload your essay to the corresponding assignment Dropbox. It is recommended that you print and take the worksheet to the museum or event to take notes. Have fun!
This lecture transcript provides an unabridged version of the video lecture and it includes additional insights and explanations from your instructor. Read this after viewing the Lecture Video.
Be sure to read all instructions and select the Aesthetic Experience Worksheet that corresponds with your selected Performance, Event, or Museum visit. The detailed instructions are in the Aesthetic Experience Worksheets that you will find in this folder. The essay requirement is a minimum of 600 words in addition to the basic information sentences required on the first two pages of your selected Aesthetic Experience worksheet.
