business ethics

Answer the following questions, drawing upon the assigned readings and resources and using specific examples from those readings and resources to illustrate and explain your thoughts. In answering these questions, please follow this format:

–write out the question and then provide your response.

–when you reference (name) a theory, cite your source using the APA in–text citation style.

–you must cite sources and provide bibliographic reference at the end of the assignment. For an example of how to format this correctly, go to the Course Information module, click on Syllabus, and then Course Readings and Materials and see the correct style for the textbook. The Shaw & Barry (2016) text is your primary resource in this course.

Assigned questions:

  • Is drug testing an unwarranted invasion of employee privacy? Which is more important–getting drugs out of the workplace or protecting the privacy of the employee?
  • What about other health-threatening activities, i.e. smoking outside of working hours, unprotected sex, etc. Should employers be able to question or test employees or potential employees about these activities?
  • Should employers be allowed to question employees about non-health related issues such as criminal record, marital or family status, citizenship status? Remember, you will want to focus on the ethics of the question, not the legal or political concerns.
  • Should employers be allowed to require that applicants or employees give the employer access to digital information, such as Facebook or Twitter?

Discuss thoroughly and defend your answer using one of the theories that are the cornerstones of the course.

Make sure that you have adequately dealt with all the subtleties of the particular theory. The answers to these questions can be found in the text but merely quoting from the text or paraphrasing the text will earn minimal credit–the answers should be in your own words and should involve some explanation and discussion of what these concepts mean.

300 words writing

In American society, our daily lives are inundated by sexuality. It is found in news stories, television programs, popular music, dating websites, and more. We become so accustomed to this inundation that many of these references pass us by without our giving them conscious thought.

In this exercise you again will act like an anthropologist and carefully examine the world around you. Carry a journal with you throughout the course of one regular day. Make a note every time you encounter an example of sexuality. Did you pass a couple holding hands? Did you receive an e-mail offering pills to enhance your sex life? Did you hear a news story about a government official being caught committing a sexual indiscretion?

After noting all examples of sexuality you encounter in a regular day, please address each of following with your classmates.

Instructions: For Assignment 6, please answer eachof the following:

  1. How many and what examples of sexuality did you encounter during your regular day? Please provide a listing of the examples you encountered for your instructor and classmates.
  2. What do you think your findings suggest about American society?
  3. Finally based on your experiences, is American culture overly sexualized? Yes or no? And why?

Letter to a client

his is what my teacher said when I sent her my letter

“Your analysis needs a lot of work. You have some correct pieces in there, but you don’t analyze the code for their situation. You need to use the facts to determine the answer. Right now, it is incorrect. But if you analyze it, I’m sure you can come to the correct conclusion.”

I have also talked to few of my fellow students and they said that they took the side that donation is not deductible. So we need to provide more evidence that what IRS says about this and provide evidence that donation of this kind is not deductible. Also, based on the case I was reading, I read that it may not be deductible. Now, we need to prove our point that donation of this kind to fire department is not deductible and may be present our prove by providing some numbers and facts and what the rule is based what IRS says. Not analyzing the regulation I sent you or court case. That was just to help understanding but we need to provide facts that it is not deductible based on actual facts as you can read what the teacher said. Thank you so much for your help. if you want I can transfer more money to you. I am willing to pay another $20 to you. Thank you so much

Easy Psychology Discussion Question

Just answer the questions below and read the two articles I attached below and the video link to help you answer. Answer must be in depth and well written.

In the lecture, I mentioned that smell and memories are closely linked with various smells often triggering intense or vivid memories. Read the two articles and watch my brief demonstration video in the “Smell Memories Discussion” link above! This will help you to answer the questions below! For this week’s discussion I would like you to complete the following activity:

  • Gather a small sample of at least three of the following items: coffee beans (ground or whole), tea, cinnamon, chocolate, chap stick, any scented candle, a small amount of grass or dirt, a flower of any type, crayons or Play-Doh, and some sort of fresh fruit or herb and one or two uncommon items of your choosing!
  • Take a moment and with each sample, close your eyes and take in the smell of that item. Allow yourself to fully experience the smell by trying to clear your mind of all distractions and by taking your time rather than rushing through the experience.

For your actual discussion posting, please respond to the following questions:

1. Did you experience any intense memories or associations? Which items did you respond to the most? The least? Are there any other items you tried or would suggest?

2. What are smell memories and why do they occur? Note: The answer to these questions can be found in the articles in the link above so be sure to read them first and to be specific and detailed in describing what they are and why they occur in order to receive full points!

3. How can you use the knowledge that there is a strong relationship between smells and memories in your personal life?

Consider your previous or current…DQ

Dq1 Consider your previous or current company experience. How often should a company back up its database? Should the backups be located on site, off site, or both? What are the consequences of not backing up data regularly? What recommendations might you make to a company regarding how to set up its database backup system?

DQ2

How does the database management and design process ensure that your organization’s data is maintained accurately, efficiently, and securely? Why is it important for accounting information to be accurate and timely? How may this be achieved?

These are 2 seperate questions..do not need to be in APA Format 🙂

Complete Lesson 3 History Textbook Essay

Write a 500 word essay based on one of the writing prompts below, citing the Hine & Faragher text at least 5 times. Your citation should come from a broad range of pages within Hine & Faragher, not merely one or two pages near each other.

Choose one person from this lesson’s readings. Discuss this person’s impact on the period and regions covered in this lesson. Think about the decisions and actions this person took. Examine the reasons and motives behind those decisions and actions, and the effect this person had on this period and the following periods.

As you write, think in terms of cause and effect, explaining why things happened as they did. Why did people do what they did?

Make an argument and back it up with evidence. You may use the primary sources to bolster your essay. Just be sure that at least 5 of your citations come from a broad range of pages from Hine & Faragher.

Citation: Use of evidence from Hine & Faragher is worth up to 40% of the score. Citation can be simple parenthetical citations. I simply need to be able to find what you are citing. For example, the following provide the textbook’s author and the page number. This is sufficient:

  • (Hine & Faragher, 16)
  • (Hine & Faragher, 25)
  • Always quote any words that are taken verbatim (word for word) from Hine & Faragher or anyone else in order to prevent plagiarism. Citations go within the essay immediately after the sentence they support. For example, I might say:
    • The Civil War had a dramatic effect on the West in many ways, including an outward migration of African Americans from the South. (Hine & Faragher, 370-373) For example, Hine & Faragher describe “yet another mass exodus to the western promised land” in 1879 when free black Americans moved to western lands. (Hine & Faragher, 370-371)

This is a formal essay. Formality means that you should write in the third person. You may use first person for the Primary Source Essay, but the Textbook Essay is more formal affair. Spell words out completely so that there are no contractions. For example, write “would not” rather than “wouldn’t.” Use proper grammar, and avoid informal terms such as “cool” or “crazy.” Remember:

    • 500 words
    • Cite the Hine & Faragher text at least 5 times.
    • Cite from a broad range of pages in Hine & Faragher, not from only a few of pages right next to each other.
    • Connect events, movements, innovations, etc. by showing cause and effect, explaining why people did what they did.

Historical Complexity Discussion, history homework help

To explore the concept of complexity, think a little more about the topic you have chosen for your historical analysis essay. Your essay, of course, is relatively brief, so your thesis statement is probably fairly narrow. That is as it should be.

But just for the purposes of this discussion, imagine that you are not writing a brief research paper—instead, you are writing a full-length book. What would you do to produce a fuller, more complex discussion of this event? What different historical lenses might you apply? What causes or consequences of this event would you examine in greater depth? Does your event raise morally complex questions?

Don’t worry—you do not really have to write a book. Just take two or three paragraphs to explain how you might develop a more complex picture of your historical event, if you had the time and the space to do just that.
