Cyberespionage

Cyber-hacking, data breaches, and identity fraud unfortunately are a common source of today’s headlines. Cyberespionage involves the theft of intellectual property, as well as valuable situational and personal information, using surreptitious means on the Internet. While many advanced nations engage in cyberespionage, China has been implicated in many major cyberespionage programs aimed at the United States. View the following video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Js52FjOsgPA that examines the economic and national security costs of cyberespionage.

In your initial post, offer your thoughts on cyberespionage and the other security threats to e-commerce. Would you hire a hacker to help you with your website? What would be the pro’s and con’s of doing so?

After your initial post, read over the items posted by your peers and offer your expertise in response to their questions.

Please respond to the initial question by day 5 and be sure to post two additional times to peers and/or instructor by day 7. The initial post by day 5 should be 75 to 150 words, but may go longer depending on the topic. If you use any source outside of your own thoughts, you should reference that source. Include solid grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and spelling.

public health Longitudinal Study

SPSS is a statistical software program that allows you to enter these variables into a spreadsheet format and record the measurements from a sample. Additionally, SPSS allows you to perform statistical analysis. Before launching into your analyses, though, it is important to understand how the variables are measured. That understanding will help you interpret the SPSS output.

In this week’s Discussion, you considered topics with social change implications. For this Assignment, you will examine data to analyze independent and dependent variables, determine how they are measured, and decipher whether a social change question can be answered and the implications for such change.

To prepare for this Assignment:

  • Review the Learning Resources as well as the SPSS resources found in this week’s Learning Resources.
  • Review, download, and install the SPSS software on your computer using the IBM SPSS Version 23 Installation and Registration document for PC or for MAC in this week’s Learning Resources.
  • Using the SPSS software, open the Afrobarometer dataset or the High School Longitudinal Study dataset (whichever you choose) found in this week’s Learning Resources and then choose two variables that interest you.

For this Assignment:

Write a 1- to 2-page summary and include the following:

  • A description of what the each of the variables measure.
  • A description of the unit of analysis.
  • A description and explanation of the levels of measurement for each variable (i.e., nominal, ordinal, interval, ratio).
  • Explain how you might conceive these variables to be used to answer a social change question. What might be the implications for social change?

Support your summary using appropriate scholarly citations and references. Use proper APA format.

Organizational culture among the diverse global groups

In this assignment, you will address the role of inclusive leadership in strengthening the organizational culture among this diverse global group of employees.

General Requirements:

Use the following information to ensure successful completion of the assignment:

This assignment uses a resource document, “LDR 804 GLOBE Assignment Data.” Download the document and use it as a tool to complete the assignment.

Instructors will be using a grading rubric to grade the assignments. It is recommended that learners review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment in order to become familiar with the assignment criteria and expectations for successful completion of the assignment.

Doctoral learners are required to use APA style for their writing assignments. The APA Style Guide is located in the Student Success Center.

This assignment requires that at least two additional scholarly research sources related to this topic, and at least one in-text citation from each source be included.

Directions:

Write a paper of 1,000-1,250 words that discusses the role of inclusive leadership in strengthening the organizational culture among the diverse global group of employees described above. Include the following in your paper:

An overview of the traits of inclusive leadership.

An analysis of the key leadership skills required to create an inclusive organizational culture.

A review of the leadership characteristics that will be most influential in creating the organizational culture of this group.

A discussion of how inclusive leadership can be applied to this group in order to meet the challenges and opportunities inherent in a global environment.

The four upcoming LDR-804 assignments ask you to analyze various cultural aspects involving a team of four new global employees and the issues facing them, their team, and organization. It is important for you to incorporate quality analysis from the rich data provided by GLOBE as you develop each of these papers. However, it can also be overly time-consuming to extract GLOBE data from the sometimes hard-to-read tables provided in the e-book.

For that reason, this document provides the GLOBE Society Practices (As Is) data below for the home countries of the participants in the Assignment cases. It is still up to you to interpret that data by at reviewing the relevant chapters to understand the meaning of each data category, and the significance of the data. Each GLOBE chapter can be quite complex though only a basic understanding of each subject – what GLOBE calls cultural dimensions – is necessary for this course, so you will need not read each chapter completely once you understand the basic concepts. It is, nonetheless, important to develop a solid grasp of at least the regional differences for each concept. It is also up to you to decide which data to use or not use in your papers and how to use it as part of your comparative analysis. Hence, your ultimate task is to be thinking, analyzing, and writing rather than struggling to read numbers. This resource document is designed to facilitate that work.

Statistical presentation of Data

Instructions
The major shopping areas in the community of Springdale include Springdale Mall, West Mall, and the downtown area on Main Street. A telephone survey has been conducted to identify strengths and weaknesses of these areas and to find out how they fit into the shopping activities of local residents. The 150 respondents were also asked to provide information about themselves and their shopping habits. The data are provided in the file SHOPPING. The variables in the survey can be found in the file CODING.

We will concentrate on variables 18–25, which reflect how important each of eight different attributes is in the respondent’s selection of a shopping area. Each of these variables has been measured on a scale of 1 (the attribute is not very important in choosing a shopping area) to 7 (the attribute is very important in choosing a shopping area). The attributes being rated for importance are listed below. Examining the relative importance customers place on these attributes can help a manager “fine-tune” his or her shopping area to make it a more attractive place to shop.

18 Easy to return/exchange goods
19 High quality of goods
20 Low prices
21 Good variety of sizes/styles
22 Sales staff helpful/friendly
23 Convenient shopping hours
24 Clean stores and surroundings
25 A lot of bargain sales

  1. Perform the following operations for variables 18–25:
    1. Compute descriptive statistics for each variable along with an explanation of what the descriptive statistics tell us about the variable. This will include the mean, mode, range, standard deviation, and the 5-number summary (minimum, first quartile (Q1), median (Q2), third quartile (Q3), and maximum). Be sure to show each calculation in your spreadsheet.
    2. Are there any data points for any of the variables that can be considered outliers? If there are any outliers in any variable, please list them and state for which variable they are an outlier. Use the z-score method to determine any outliers for this question. Be sure to show each z-score calculation in your spreadsheet for each variable.
  2. Based on the results for question 1, which attributes seem to be the most important and the least important in respondents’ choice of a shopping area? Which items from #1 did you use to decide on the least and most important attributes, and why?
  3. Determine the correlation coefficient between variable 19 and variables 21–25. Please provide an explanation of the relationships. Show your calculations for each correlation coefficient within the spreadsheet.

Paper Requirements
Write a report that applies the Written Assignment Requirements under the heading Expectations for CSU-Global Written Assignments found in theCSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA. Items that should be included, at a minimum, are a title page, an introduction, a body which answers the questions posed in the problem, and a conclusion paragraph that addresses your findings and what you have determined from the data and your analysis. As with all written assignments, you should have in-text citations and a reference page. Please include any tables of calculations, calculated values, and graphs associated with this problem in the body of your assignment response.

Note: You must submit your Excel file with your report. This will aid in grading with partial credit if errors are found in the report.
