Word count: 350, only use the material I attached in file, no outside resources needed. Answer all these five questions.

For this post, please read the article, “What is Racial Domination” by M. Desmond and M. Emirbayer – at the attached file below .

After you have read the article, please answer the following questions (below).

1. How do the authors define race and why is this definition important for understanding the concept?

2. What are the structural claims for why racial categories were originally developed?

3. According to the authors, what are the five fallacies to avoid when thinking about racism?

4. Why is racial domination so resilient – despite the scientific/empirical evidence that long ago disproved the biological basis for the concept of race?

Du Bois asserts that, “the problem of the Twentieth Century, is the problem of the color line” (racism). The author wrote these words around 1903.

5. In your opinion, is the problem of the 21st Century (our time period) also the color line (racism)? Why or why not?

human sexual behavior from an evolutionary perspective, homework help

The textbook discusses several aspects of human sexual behavior from an evolutionary perspective. Please study those sections before attempting to respond to this RT.

Some surveys are showing that 98% of sex acts in humans is Recreational in nature (for fun), and only 2% of sex acts in humans is specifically for Reproduction (to have offsprings). Why would recreational sex have evolved in humans and how recreational sex gives humans an evolutionary advantage? Please explain in detail.

(Please note that recreational sex is not a new phenomenon in human history. Historical records show that long before the advent of modern birth control methods, people were engaging in recreational sex. In the context of the question, recreational sex also IS NOT the same as premarital or extramarital sex. Majority of faithful, married and committed couples engage in recreational sex. Your response must focus on biological reasons.)

Write 120 words for each article

Cited in APA style format. The topic of Teacher Leadership. An analytical annotated bibliography “not only summarizes the material, it analyzes what is being said. It examines the strengths and weaknesses of what is presented as well as describing the applicability of the author’s conclusions to the research being conducted”.

I need to do like this example.

Sahlberg, P. (2013, October). Teachers as Leaders in Finland. Educational Leadership, 71(2), 36-40.

This article is important because it describes another country’s perspective on education. It is important for the best teachers to know more than just American education because having a broader concept of education helps them to determine with more accuracy what the best educational practices are. The United States is not the leading country in literacy, graduation rates, or other educational statistics, so it is enlightening to look at the practices and policies of countries with more successful statistics than the United States. Being aware of what teaching strategies are used in other countries can help Americans to improve our own schools.

Foreign vs. U.S. Legal Systems

2 Parts
350-400 words  Min 3 references
  • Search the Internet and library, and provide at least 2 examples of how you could pursue legal action if an international business committed copyright infringements or stolen your patent.
  • Can you think of how this would impact the manner in which U.S. businesses would conduct business in that foreign country?
Part 2

Safe work environments, fair wages, abuse of child labor, and unfair treatment of workers are all topics that are unfortunately in the news all too often. Previously, these were problems or issues that were present in the United States. Fortunately, the legal system and regulations, for the most part, have made these issues a thing of the past. However, in many foreign countries, these problems still exist. Societies are bound to repeat their mistakes if they do not learn from the past. Therefore, research the Internet and the library for two countries where workers have experienced human rights violations or violations of labor laws.

Assignment Guidelines:

  • Search the Internet and the library, and select at least 2 countries where workers have experienced human rights violations or violations of labor laws.
  • State your opinion as to the impact of conducting business with these countries and the ramifications of doing so.
  • What should be the legal and ethical reaction of the business community for these types of violations?
  • Compose your findings into an 900–1,200 Word document, and be sure to cite your sources.

Over tourism and the big chill: Travel trends in 2018 (03/07/18)

The tourism industry is booming as more and more travelers find various ways of exploring the globe. However, with the industry booming, there isn’t all good news. According to the article, “some of the most popular destinations are becoming victims of their own success, leaving the sector scrambling to respond to concerns about overcrowding and environmental damage”. Destination like Iceland, there are fewer than 340,000 residents welcomed a staggering 2.5 million visitors. While the booming tourism brings in tremendous financial benefits, the over tourism also posts a lot of problems like skyrocketing rent for local residents and growing environmental pressures.

The challenges of water pollution threat to public health flaws of water laws and policies in Pakistan by Aazra Jabeen

The instructions as well as the paper are attached.

Feedback from instructor:

FIRST DRAFT FEEDBACK: I see some good work here in parts of your document, but more work is needed to improve it. Remember that the final draft needs FOUR sources, not just the two you submitted. Also, each source needs to focus on a study, so there will be a “methodology,” “findings,” etc. You need to tell us what the study was about (how it was conducted, etc.) and what the conclusions of the study were. Right now I’m not sure that these sources are actually based on “studies.” Make sure your final draft includes topic indicators for each section: “Focus,” “Conclusion,” etc. The beginning of your paper should state your topic. Journal titles are missing. I would recommend reviewing the format for this paper. Hope your final draft goes well!

Write a journal review on ethics

Write a Journal Review paper about four articles that has the following elements:

  • At the top, student name, the date, and assignment identification (Journal Paper).
  • Four sections (15-20 lines per section, not including quotation and lists), one for each article, each with a heading identifying the author(s) and the title of the article in the format of this example: Lijing Yang and Zeger Van Der Wal, “Rule of Morality vs. Rule of Law? An Exploratory Study of Civil Servant Values in China and the Netherlands.”
  • In each section, a description of the central theme or argument of the article, the methodology or discussion approach used, and the conclusions reached, separated into paragraphs as appropriate. Parenthetic citations with page numbers are given for each concept and for all quotations, in Turabian author-date format (citations following the first show page number only).
  • Following the sections describing articles, a separate conclusion is given (10-15 lines in length) summarizing what the student has learned from reading the articles.
  • At the end of the paper, a reference list in Turabian author-date format. Show page number citations for each concept discussed, in addition to quotation marks and page citations for quoted material.

Please use the articles/journals provided in Files only, make sure citations are according to Turabian style. No plagiarism, original work only! If you have any questions contact me ASAP, all articles are from the same publication: Public Integrity Journal.

What are The Smithsonian?

Brief Research Analysis paper

For this assignment, you will conduct research in a topic relevant to later American history (@1865-2017) using the Library of Congress’ American Memory digital collections, linked here OR another credible web archive of historical primary sources. Here are some other websites with primary source collections:

If searching for a primary source on the web, you should use the terms “source” or “sources” or “document” or “documents” along with your subject term(s).

You need to find one (1) primary source from a collection on the LOC site or another similar site with primary sources. Note: this should not be a commonly-used source, such as one of the documents like Dr. Martin L. King, Jr.’s 1963 march on Washington speech or any of the constitutional amendments. Strive to find something that is less common for your analysis and let me know if you have any questions. [see the syllabus for more information on primary sources] and submit a brief analysis paper that touches on the following information:

  • research process:how did you go about it, key issues, challenges, what worked, didn’t work, etc,
  • source: what does it say, depict, etc. – authorship(?)– any descriptive information you can garner, quotes, etc.
  • meaning: what’s meaningful about it for understanding American history? analyze it for significance, credibility, meaning to you as a student of history
  • context: what is broader setting of your source? How does it inform about particular time/place/era in American history?
  • citation: basic information on where it’s located, author, title, date, publisher, etc. URL, etc. – a digital copy attached to your paper, if possible, would be helpful to; this information should be found in a separate “Works Cited” section, here is a decent guide to putting together a “Works Cited” page with examples of citations: MLA Works Cited guide
  • NOTE: your assignment must reflect independent research and your source should not be fundamental, common American document
  • your source can not be one found on a website already in use for the class.
  • Length: @3-5 double-spaced pages

Self-Presentation Assignment

Instructions: This assignment will allow you to demonstrate what you’ve learned after reading this chapter and it will help you prepare for the first exam and other assignments.

For this assignment, you will be recording your very own self-presentation to share with your classmates (see instructions on how to post a video below). After reading Chapter 3 and reviewing the course materials, start thinking about your self-concept. Next, pick an object that you think best describes you. The object can be anything from a bottle of water to a book. Some students like to pick objects that are linked to their passions or hobbies, while others might pick objects of sentimental value. The object isn’t the most important aspect of this assignment, so any object will do as long as you are able to describe your self-concept during your presentation and answer the questions below.

The self-presentation should be 3-4 minutes in length and include the answers to the following questions:

  1. After you have picked your object, start thinking about adjectives that you would use to describe yourself with based on the object. With these adjectives in mind, think about when you started seeing yourself this way. What situations reinforce your self-concept? What situations work against this self-concept? Who do you think of when you think of yourself in this way?
  2. What is important to your self-concept?
  3. How has your self-concept been influenced by social comparison? What reference groups are important to you? How has your self-concept been influenced by reflected appraisal?
  4. What are some ways in which you manage others’ impressions of you? What are the benefits of effective impression management?
  5. How do you manage impressions online?

JUST WRITE A DIALOGUE THAT I CAN READ OFF FOR 3-4 MINUTES ANSWERING THE QUESTIONS. THE OBJECT I CHOSE WAS A TREE BECAUSE I AM BIG AND TALL. YOU CAN MAKE UP OTHER PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS ABOUT ME BUT I GAVE YOU THE PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS.

Any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
