Discussion- Political Ideologies and Corruption

Hyper links will be provided for the information sources

An attachment with the discussion sample will be attached to this posting.

Use this discussion sample as a guide when completing your own analysis.

Governments’ influence over trade and economies should not be underestimated. You may see some connections between culture and political ideologies, which can have positive and negative effects. Let’s dive into the political and legal environment for your project country. In this discussion, you will work on the following critical elements: Government and Ideologies, and Corruption.

Using The World Factbook and current news reports, identify the following elements of government:

  • Government type
  • Political leader(s)
  • Political pressure (or opposition) groups
  • Recent changes in governing rule

Other risks include corrupt practices, which are also heavily influenced by culture. Use Transparency International to identify three measures of corruption. Consider a review of the following:

  • Corruption Perception Index
  • Enforcement
  • Bribery measures

Discuss what these political risks mean for businesses. What challenges or opportunities might an organization recognize with regard to the government and corrupt practices in the region? How can an organization protect against these risks and prepare management for issues they might face?

Respond to two of your classmates and share your observations regarding the government and corruption in the country. Ask questions to encourage further considerations.

Once you have received feedback from your peers and instructor, you will insert your data and summarize your analysis findings in the Final Project Presentation Template provided. This is your third step toward the comprehensive final project presentation. Your first final project checkpoint submission will be in Module Three.

Cultral Diversity, writing homework help

Given the recurring themes of being torn between two cultures, writing against stereotypes, and negotiating racial tensions that have surfaced for authors throughout this course, so what do these stories about the struggles of coming to America to find a place amidst two cultures teach us about diversity?

A sample thesis (which you are free to use) might be:

  • Minority writers: A, B, and C, write against stereotypes, cross-cultural issues, and the importance of diversity in America.
  • Minority writers through their shared stories about living cross-culturally and being impacted by stereotypes highlight the importance of celebrating diversity as seen in the writings of A, B, and C.

Remember that a theme in a piece of fiction is its view about life and how people behave. We might ask ourselves: what do the characters, action, plot, setting and conflicts in this piece show us?

Please respond in a five-paragraph APA essay format with quotes, proper in-text citations, and references.

Please be sure to include the following in your assignment submission:

  • Write a formal, 5-paragraph essay in APA format, including a cover page, in response to this question.Base your answer on your own observations and support your assertions quoting from your assigned readings.
  • Read the assigned readings from the Asian American Literature sections. Highlight quotes, summarize, or paraphrase from this week’s readings and be sure to include an in-text citation in proper APA format (Author, year, p. X).
  • We must include three quotes from our readings. When we discuss literature, it is all about the words before us. They are ours to consider and reflect on. You will want to make a strong assertion and prove it, or support it, by quoting from the readings. Include three quotes in our essay.
  • Create a strong thesis for your essay. A thesis states shares the Author, Title of the piece being explored, and a strong assertion, and ideally will share key discussion points.
  • Be sure to include an APA reference page.

Final Project.8-10 pg APA paper or 18-20 powerpoint on Vulnerable Population

Vulnerable Population: Abused Individuals, focused on Children

Imagine you are a policymaker or
city council member and are actively involved in improving the lives of the
vulnerable.  Via the first two written assignments, you have already
selected one vulnerable population, which is in need of a new program or
service within your community. You will research and design a presentation (APA
style Paper or PowerPoint Presentation), which you will present at the next
city meeting to advocate for your special population group.
The Final Project should demonstrate an understanding of the reading
assignments, class discussions, as well as your own research and application of
new knowledge. It must contain the following elements below and be re-written
in your own words (you are welcome to refer to your previous assignments for
guidance, but do not copy and paste from them):

  1. A description of why this population group is
vulnerable and in desperate need for help within your community.
  2. Identification of the health service needs of this
    special population.
  3. In order to support your claims and opinions, cite
statistical data obtained from the county health department, state health
department, and/or other organizations and agencies.

Design a model program or service, which is needed to improve the lives of your
chosen population within your community. Remember to design a new program not
currently existent within your community.  In your design, include the
following:

  1. A description of the continuum of care level (preventive,
treatment, or long-term care) your program or service fall into and how it
meets the needs of your selected group.
  2. An analysis of the delivery modes of health services to
    be included.
  3. A discussion regarding the multidisciplinary approach
that is incorporated into the program.
  4. An analysis of the role of legal and ethical
requirements in the design of the program.
  5. Identification of a minimum of two community
agencies/organizations you would like to partner with in some way(s) in
order to implement this program/service.  Explain why you would like
to partner with these organizations and how can they help or benefit you
with the implementation of your program/service.
  6. Analysis of the current funding sources for provision
of health services to this special population. Discuss the use of
integrated funding. Based on your research, identify a minimum of two
funding sources that may potentially provide monetary sponsorship for your
program or service.  Explain why these entities would be likely funding
    sources.

Be detailed and convincing in describing the above elements, as you are
attempting to win as much support from the attending members as possible.

For your presentation, you may choose between the following formats:

  1. An APA formatted Final Paper
  2. A PowerPoint Presentation.

———–Writing the Final Paper
The Final Paper:

  1. Must be eight to ten double-spaced pages in length, and

    the textbook.
  7. Must document all sources in APA style, as outlined in
    the Ashford Writing Center.
  8. Must include a separate reference page, formatted
according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.

Course Project – Part 3 Final Scenario Project Submission

Complete Part 3 of the Critical Thinking Scenario Project.

  • Remember to proofread your submission in order to eliminate spelling and grammar errors.

Save your assignment as a Microsoft Word document.

Part Three: the presentation

Now it’s time to pull together the preparation you’ve done for your event in Washington D. C. In this section of the assignment you will a speaker’s outline for your presentation and a sample of your presentation itself.

  • Your speaker’s notes should be completed in a Word document. These will be your notes as you present so make sure they are complete and include the following:
    • An introduction
    • An overview of what you’ll be presenting and why. (Why should these high school students care what you have to say?)
    • Your findings on television commercials
    • Your findings on the impact of media on society
    • A conclusion that summarizes and reinforces the reasons that it’s important to use critical thinking when consuming media
  • Create a PowerPoint presentation from your notes. Using screen capture software, record your presentation and submit a link to the recording along with your speaker’s notes.
    • There are many free versions of screen capture software. Ask your instructor for recommendations if you don’t have a favorite.

You do not have to use any screen capture software or do a recording in powerpoint.
So you don’t actually have to present it. I am just looking for a Word
document with notes you would use if you were presenting it and a powerpoint that you would use if you were presenting it. So, two submissions, one notes and the other powerpoint. The business scenario is really complex compared to the others so I don’t require the actual presentation to be presented.

Draft Peer Review Workshop (Peer feedback)

Peer Review Feedback: Read the essay below and answer the following questions below

Purpose, Focus, & Development:

  1. In two sentences, summarize: what research topic/issue is being explored? What argument is being made on this topic/issue?
  2. Is the main argument clear? Expand on any areas where you think you could help to make the main argument more clear to the reader.

Organization & Structure:

  1. Does the organization of your paragraphs make sense?
  2. Are transition phrases used to move between body paragraphs?

Incorporating and Citing Outside Research/Evidence:

  1. Does every outside source have a lead-in and follow up? Is every quote from your sources correctly cited?
  2. Where can signal phrases be included to better introduce outside sources and their direct quotes?

Final Copy-Editing:

  1. Read through the draft out loud (this is a good way to catch things you don’t notice by reading to yourself), and note any sentences that feel “off” to you for whatever reason. If the sentence sounds off, chances are there’s a grammatical, mechanical, or sentence structure mistake going on. Did you catch anything?

Some common errors to watch out for specifically:

    • Sentence fragments
    • Run-on sentences
    • Comma splices (two full sentences conjoined by a comma that should be split into two different sentences)
    • Spelling and punctuation

respond about food

For our purposes, Reading Responses are focused responses to the assigned reading. These responses are the most important means for practicing and developing your ability to read and think critically. You will generally write one response each week. These responses should be typed, double-spaced, and at least one page in length. These are like journal entries relating how students respond to their reading.

How did the reading make you think and feel? Of what did the reading remind you? How can you relate the reading to your other classes? Or your current life situations? Or history? Try to make these relatively informal but still academic. Do not give me summaries! Some of the response may quote excerpts of the reading, but keep the quotes short. And make sure to use proper formatting for quotes.

discussion ethics

BP’s code of conduct includes this: “health, safety, security and the environment—fundamental rules and guidance to help us protect the natural environment, the safety of the communities in which we operate, and the health, safety and security of our people” (BP, 2010).

But Seidman (2010) said this: “Many of the factors thought to have led to the April 20 explosion of the Deepwater Horizon offshore drilling rig were the result of bad decisions in which a less expensive option—whether to run a test or use a particular kind casing pipe, for example—was consistently chosen over one that would have cost more money.”

Organizations cut costs all the time to become more efficient, and they ultimately pass along lower costs to the consumer in the form of lower prices. Without customers, a for-profit organization cannot exist.

Apply concepts from Chapter 9 in the text to analyze business ethics and sustainability at an energy company of your choice (but not your chosen company for the final project), and answer the following:

  1. Assess the ethics involved with an energy company’s strategy and actions.
  2. Debate whether or not a for-profit company competing with rivals can effectively balance ethical business practices while competing for market share in today’s marketplace.
  3. Would you have handled BP’s strategy execution differently? As CEO, how would you have handled this, either ensuring this did not happen or after the fact?

3 Managerial Accounting homework problems

Please see attached homework problems. Problem #3 has 3 separate requirements

Green Thumb Gardening is a small gardening service that uses activity-based costing to estimate costs for pricing and other purposes. The proprietor of the company believes that costs are driven primarily by the size of customer lawns, the size of customer garden beds, the distance to travel to customers, and the number of customers. In addition, the costs of maintaining garden beds depends on whether the beds are low maintenance beds (mainly ordinary trees and shrubs) or high maintenance beds (mainly flowers and exotic plants). Accordingly, the company uses the five activity cost pools listed below:

Leadership Perspectives: Transactional and Transformational

Although often difficult to define, leadership presents a pivotal aspect in any organization. Over the course of history, various leaders have embodied characteristics and qualities that have proved effective and ineffective within various situations. For example, a health director of a physician’s office might exhibit a different leadership perspective than a director of staff for an intensive care unit at large hospital. Though characteristics and qualities may vary among leaders, their primary goals for followers and organizations may be similar. Understanding the most appropriate leadership perspective may impact your future leadership perspective in the field of public health.

For this Discussion, review the Learning Resources on Transformational Theory and Transactional Theory. Reflect on your understanding of the theories in relation to various situations. Additionally, consider how these theories relate to previous leadership perspectives of Trait Theory, Skills Approach, and behavioral perspective studied in this course.

By Day 4

Post an explanation of how Transformational leadership and Transactional leadership relate to Trait Theory, Skills Approach, and behavior perspective. Then, explain under what circumstances a Transformational leadership might be preferred and under what circumstances Transactional leadership might be preferred. Provide an example and justify your response.
