Please complete ONE of the following assignments, incorporating ideas and concepts from the week’s lecture and/or articles. Please feel free to incorporate outside resources as well. When submitting your assignment, please indicate which of the three options you have chosen. For Options 2 and 3, please make sure to double space your papers.

Option 1: Get Creative

Design and format a 10 – 15 slide Microsoft PowerPoint presentation on one of the learning objectives found in the Getting Started – This Week’s Activities folder for this week. The requirements below must be met for your presentation to be accepted and graded:

• Design and format each slide for a presentation, see example below.
• The notes sections must total a minimum of 250 words for the entire presentation. Use these sections to explain and support information provided on your slides.
• Include a cover slide and reference slide (these slides do not count toward the 10 – 15 slide requirement).
• At least 60% of your paper must be original content/writing.
• No more than 40% of your content/information may come from references.
• Use at least two references from outside the course material, preferably from EBSCOhost. Text book, lectures, and other materials in the course may be used, but are not counted toward the two reference requirement.
• Identify sources on slides that contain reference material (data, dates, graphs, quotes, paraphrased words, values, etc.) and list them on a reference slide.

Reference material (data, dates, graphs, quotes, paraphrased words, values, etc.) must be from sources like scholarly journals found in EBSCOhost, online newspapers such as The Wall Street Journal, government websites, etc. Sources such as Wikis, Yahoo Answers, eHow, etc. are not acceptable.

Option 2: News Flash

Choose an article from EBSCOhost that relates to at least one of the learning objectives found in the Getting Started – This Week’s Activities folder for this week. You must summarize the article, and explain the connection between the article and at least one learning objective. Clearly state the learning objective(s) in the introduction.

The requirements below must be met for your News Flash to be accepted and graded:

• Write between 500 – 750 words (approximately 2 – 3 pages) using Microsoft Word.
• Attempt APA style, see example below.
• Use font size 12 and 1” margins.
• Include a cover page and reference page.
• At least 60% of your paper must be original content/writing.
• No more than 40% of your content/information may come from references.
• Include at least one external reference other than the article being summarized, preferably from EBSCOhost. Text book, lectures, and other materials in the course may be used, but are not considered an external reference.
• Identify reference material (data, dates, graphs, quotes, paraphrased words, values, etc.) in the body of the paper and list them on a reference page.

Option 3: Traditional Paper

Research and discuss what organizational change is and why being able to manage it is important. Also, list and discuss some ways managers can help their employees deal with change.

The requirements below must be met for your paper to be accepted and graded:

• Write between 500 – 750 words (approximately 2 – 3 pages) using Microsoft Word.
• Attempt APA style, see example below.
• Use font size 12 and 1” margins.
• Include cover page and reference page.
• At least 60% of your paper must be original content/writing.
• No more than 40% of your content/information may come from references.

Personal Philosophy of Advance Nursing Practice Narrative

This Assignment addresses this course outcome:

MN502-1: Formulate a professional nursing philosophy based upon the role and responsibilities of the advanced nurse.

Introduction

The purpose of this Assignment is for you to present your views, values, and beliefs about the four concepts of the nursing metaparadigm (i.e., person, nursing, health, and environment) and their interrelationship to one another as they guide your current nursing practice. The process of identifying a personal nursing philosophy of advanced nursing practice and continuously examining, affirming, and validating this philosophy through caring for patients, families, communities, populations, and/or systems can foster professional and personal growth that builds advanced practice expertise.

Directions

In this Assignment, you will develop the first draft of your personal philosophy of advanced practice nursing. You will continue to work on this document throughout the course, with new drafts reflecting your growing sophistication as you reflect on each week’s lesson.

A philosophical statement includes these elements:

• An introduction that presents your thought processes used to articulate a philosophy of advanced practice nursing. Note that APA does not use a heading for the introduction, because it is assumed that the first few paragraphs of a manuscript are the introduction.
• Valued personal concepts, such as:
  • Metaparadigm concepts such as person/client, nursing, health, and environment
  • Additional concepts you may find valuable to advanced practice, such as IOM Future of Nursing, accountability, interprofessional collaborative practice, social justice, and professionalism
  • Definition of each concept selected
  • Relationships between and among concepts within your personal philosophy as applied to your current practice. A diagram with should be used to graphically depict these interrelationships.

Organization of Your Paper

Your final paper is to be written in APA format (including organization, documentation, and references) and be no more than two pages in length. The paper should include a title page and reference list, however, these pages are not included in the final page count.

Course materials, except textbook, may be used and must be supplemented by current literature from peer-reviewed nursing journals no older than 5 years.

Assignment Requirements

Your writing Assignment should:

• follow the conventions of Standard American English (correct grammar, punctuation, etc.);

• use APA 6th Edition format.

The number of American telecommuters is expected to increase by 29 million telecommuters or 43% of the workforce by 2016 as more work gets performed from remote locations. Mobile workers can work from wherever they are and use the IT / IS technology necessary to access co-workers, company or corporate infrastructure, intranets, and other information sources.

Write a two to three (2-3) page paper in which you:

1. Describe the impact of telecommuting on energy conservation, IT operational costs, “green computing”, and shifts in telecommuters’ lifestyles (e.g., parents, disability, etc.).
2. Describe how the business infrastructure should be designed so that employees will be able to continue to perform business functions in the event of a disaster (i.e., storm, hurricane, or earthquake) that destroys or makes it impossible to access the buildings. 
3. Determine four (4) advantages and four (4) disadvantages of telecommuting from an IT manager’s point of view. Elaborate on each advantage and disadvantage.
4. Examine the effect of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) to the IT infrastructure with regard to security, IT support, knowledge, and data management, green computing, and telecommuting.
5. Use at least three (3) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.

• Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
• Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.

The Yankee Group
reports that 66 percent of companies determine website success solely by
measuring the amount of traffic. Unfortunately, large amounts of website
traffic do not necessarily indicate large sales. Many websites with lots of
traffic have minimal sales. The best way tomeasure
a website’s successis to measure
such things as the revenue generated by Web traffic, the number of new
customers acquired by Web traffic, any reductions in customer service calls
resulting from Web traffic. As you deploy your Business 2.0 strategy, you want
to build a website that creates stickiness and a sense of community for your
customers. Explain why measuring Web traffic is not a good indicator of Web
sales or website success. How would you implement Business 2.0 characteristics
to create a sense of community for your customers? How could a wiki help grow
your business? Could you use blogs to create a marketing buzz? What else can
you do to ensure your website finds financial success?

• Distinguish between the two (2) terms of personal property and
  real property, and give one (1) example of each. Next, discuss the main
  differences of the role that a paralegal would play in transactions
  involving commercial property versus the acquisition of a painting.
• From
  the Virtual Law Office video, imagine that you work as a paralegal for a
  mid-sized law office. Your clients are buying a new home. They live
  together, but have not decided to marry in the foreseeable future.
  Explain to them the main different forms of property ownership for real
  estate. Next, discuss the fundamental advantages and disadvantages of
  each form of property ownership in order for them to make a decision
  concerning the right form of property to buy for their unique situation.
