Leadership self-Awareness SLP, management homework help

For the Session Long Projects you will also be applying the concepts from the background materials. But instead of applying them to yourself, you will imagine that you are a leadership development coach who is hired to by organizations to diagnosis or give advice to managers. For each of the situations below, explain what advice or diagnosis you would give them based on your knowledge of the background readings. Make sure to cite at least one of the required background readings in each of your answers. Your paper should be two to three pages in length:

  1. Susan is a manager who decides to assess her strengths using some of the 24 classifications of the Values in Action Inventory of Strengths that you read about for this module. She discovers that two of her biggest strengths are “humor” and “teamwork.” She concludes that since these are her strengths she doesn’t need to change anything regarding her use of these strengths. Do you think this is a good use of her assessment, or should she make changes to her use of humor and teamwork? If so, what kind of changes?
  2. Harold has an MBA from Harvard and is focused on becoming a CEO before he is 45 years old. He is very good at networking and often makes friends with those who rank higher than him at his current organization. However, employees under his supervision feel that he often makes decisions based on what will get him promoted rather than on what is best for his employees or his organization. How would you characterize his emotional intelligence (EQ) skills based on the different elements of EQ discussed in the background readings? Be specific regarding which elements of EQ you think he is likely high on or which elements you think he may be lacking.
  3. Carl is known as a very caring manager based on his ability to understand his employee’s problems and taking careful to time to get to know each and every employee. He is personally well liked by all of his employees. However, the one complaint they do have about Carl is that he gets very upset when things don’t go well and takes things very personally. For example, when he found out that profitability for his unit had fallen over the last month he was so upset he had to take a couple of sick days off from work. How would you characterize his emotional intelligence (EQ) skills based on the different elements of EQ discussed in the background readings? Be specific regarding which elements of EQ you think he is likely high on or which elements you think he may be lacking.

Produce a first draft of your paper. Use your initial writing assignments with additional sources as needed to prove your thesis. This paper must be a well-formed piece of historical research including proper citations and a bibliography.

Theme is:

Some modern scholars argue that the history of the ancient and medieval world is only half-written as half the population has often been ignored or “written out” of history. Over the last few generations, much has been done to correct this gap in our collective knowledge of the past; women clearly played essential roles throughout ancient and medieval societies. Your task is to research what roles women played and how their presence was conceptualized and addressed in anywhere from two to three different cultures/civilizations and to determine the scope of these roles and the ways in which women of all ages were portrayed and/or portrayed themselves. From this research, devise a thesis that will address your findings and better explain the “missing half” of our past.

This is my introduction:

The contemporary world is continually evolving, with a lot of people continuing to offer men a lot of credit for the enormous growth. However, women have been pivotal over the years, stimulating the attainment of the modern world. Different cultures fail to comprehensively underline the role of ancient women, thereby stimulating the notion that they were less essential than their male counterparts. However, women played a key role in the ancient and medieval societies stimulating the development of the dynamism of human civilization. Notably, women played a key role in stimulating civilization through their excellence in diverse areas. First, I will talk about the key roles of women in ancient and medieval Indian societies. Next, I will discuss the roles of women in Rome. Finally, I will talk about how these roles are similar to those in other societies.

Women played a key role in instigating the development of ancient Indian civilization. Indian society continues to hold considerable roles in regard to gender due to the distinctions in socio-cultural practices and traditions. During the early civilizations, women held respectable statuses, especially in the Vedic civilization[1]. The Dravidian culture empowered and honored women, especially in family and home affairs. Therefore, women were crucial in the development of popular cultures and the notable societies that thrived later. Women had numerous roles in the Rig Vedic Period as they could participate in critical issues such as war, education, archery, decision-making, and the selection of male partners.

Conversely, the Rig Vedic Period stimulated high status for women in Indian society. The era instigated numerous platforms for women to acquire and achieve high intellectual and spiritual standards[2]. However, the later Vedic period entailed issues of discrimination against women. Notably, the society started shifting to discriminate against women on the lines of education and other rights. Notably, the women in the ancient period primarily stimulated the development of civilization. Notably, the role of women has undergone numerous changes due to the growth in the world and the feat of globalization. However, the women in India instigated the development of Indian civilization.

Women in ancient and medieval Rome were influential in the attainment of order in society while they shaped the realization of civilization. Women in Rome held higher statuses than women in other regions. Notably, their male counterparts were dominant in most aspects, but the women were highly valued due to their roles as caregivers[3]. Importantly, in ancient Rome, women stimulated the perception of sensitivity, thereby undermining the essence of incorporating values in the contemporary world. Notably, women were perceived as a pivotal part of society for their role in ensuring the growth of communities through childbirth. Therefore, they were primarily given the responsibility of developing the next generations and instilling essential values in them. Women stimulated the development of popular beliefs and customs that eventually defined their role in society.

How to respond to a students response

In undergrad, you have the students who love group projects and then you have the students who hate group projects. The greatest personal challenge I have working in teams is to not do all the work myself. I’m a natural leader, so, I naturally want to be the one to set up the meetings and assign the tasks. I also want to complete all the tasks to ensure they get done correctly and on time.

Baldwin, Bommer, and Rubin (2013) describe ways to determine if your team is high performing: production output, member satisfaction, and capacity for continued cooperation. In a high performing team, you have to have swift and efficient production. Everyone on the team has to be satisfied with the product, and they have to continue to have successful meetings to continue the efficient product.

1 Corinthians 12:4-6 states “now there are diversities of gifts, but the same spirit. And there are diversities of ministrations and the same lord. And there are diversities of workings, but the same God, who worketh all things in all”. I interpret that to mean that within teams there are different personalities and different strengths that can contribute to success. Diversity is always needed within teams and in the workplace because this will contribute to generating a product that any audience can relate to. 1 Corinthians 12:14 goes on to state “For the body is not one member, but many”. I interpret this to mean that the body has different components that help it to run successfully and just like a successful team you have many members with different roles to make sure it’s successful.

Sbelief that the constitution is a living document and should be interpreted according to changing times and values? Political science homework help

Everyone, Thomas has made reference to the notion that the Constitution, for want of a better term, is a living document, open to interpretation.  That’s an incredibly contentious statement in today’s America, which seems to be divided between that statement, and one which begins with “If it was good enough for James Madison, it ought to be good enough for all of us”.

In addition it speaks to the scrutiny we place not only on sitting SC justices, but prospective ones as well. How do they view the Constitution?  Should judges be appointed only if they pledge to uphold the Constitution as written and intended by the Founding Fathers, or should the court accept justices who practice judicial interpretivism; a belief that the constitution is a living document and should be interpreted according to changing times and values?

Quantitative Analysis

In Chapter 8 of the text, Creswell (2014) discusses data analysis and the interpretation of results (pp. 167-182). The author also identifies various threats to validity, strategies for specifying variables, techniques for dealing effectively with study participants, and suggests some techniques for evaluating the results of a research study (p. 178). After examining his suggestions, consider the strengths and weaknesses of his approach as you

  • Describe the various components of an experimental method plan, as envisioned by the author.
  • Explain two styles of threats to validity.
  • Describe the nuances involved in interpreting results from an empirical study.
