World View Chart Assignments
Due Weeks 2 through 10 and worth 35 points each week, with a total of 315 points.

A world view is a fundamental or basic orientation of thinking – like a mindset – which guides a culture and / or a person’s life. Like a point of view, it can be built of concepts, ideas, values, emotions, and ethics. Weltanschauung is the German word for this idea. Your goal for this course is to understand the world views of these various religions. In order to prepare you for your final assignment, you will outline the world views of various religions in the chart below, adding to it each week.

For this assignment, students will complete the weekly area of the chart, filling in the aspects of each religion as it is presented in the readings and resources. This chart, when complete, will be the starting point for the written assignment, due in Week 10.

For each weekly submission:

1. Review the weekly lectures and supplemental materials provided, then complete the chart by elaborating on each section related to the weekly content.
2. Identify key details and examples from the weekly resources to serve as a basis for the content being recorded in your chart.
3. Write clearly and coherently using correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and mechanics.

The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:

• Analyze what is meant by religion.
• Analyze the similarities and differences in the primary beliefs held by major religious traditions and the cultures in which these religions evolved.
• Describe the varieties of religious experience and practice in a wide range of cultures.
• Recognize how daily life within various religions and current affairs are influenced by religion.
• Use technology and information resources to research issues in religion.
• Write clearly and concisely about world religions using proper writing mechanics.

Grading Rubric

This sheet is to help you understand what we are looking for, and what our margin remarks might be about on your write ups of patients. Since at all of the white-ups that you hand in are uniform, this represents what MUST be included in every write-up.

1) Identifying Data (___5pts): The opening list of the note. It contains age, sex, race, marital status, etc. The patient complaint should be given in quotes. If the patient has more than one complaint, each complaint should be listed separately (1, 2, etc.) and each addressed in the subjective and under the appropriate number.

2) Subjective Data (___30pts.): This is the historical part of the note. It contains the following:

a) Symptom analysis/HPI(Location, quality , quantity or severity, timing, setting, factors that make it better or worse, and associate manifestations.(10pts).

b) Review of systems of associated systems, reporting all pertinent positives and negatives (10pts).

c) Any PMH, family hx, social hx, allergies, medications related to the complaint/problem (10pts). If more than one chief complaint, each should be written u in this manner.

3) Objective Data(__25pt.): Vital signs need to be present. Height and Weight should be included where appropriate.

a) Appropriate systems are examined, listed in the note and consistent with those identified in 2b.(10pts).

b) Pertinent positives and negatives must be documented for each relevant system.

c) Any abnormalities must be fully described. Measure and record sizes of things (likes moles, scars). Avoid using “ok”, “clear”, “within normal limits”, positive/ negative, and normal/abnormal to describe things. (5pts).

4) Assessment (___10pts.): Diagnoses should be clearly listed and worded appropriately.

5) Plan (___15pts.): Be sure to include any teaching, health maintenance and counseling along with the pharmacological and non-pharmacological measures. If you have more than one diagnosis, it is helpful to have this section divided into separate numbered sections.

6) Subjective/ Objective, Assessment and Management and Consistent (___10pts.): Does the note support the appropriate differential diagnosis process? Is there evidence that you know what systems and what symptoms go with which complaints? The assessment/diagnoses should be consistent with the subjective section and then the assessment and plan. The management should be consistent with the assessment/ diagnoses identified.

7) Clarity of the Write-up(___5pts.): Is it literate, organized and complete?

Comments:

Elaborate and explain a list of at least seven technical indicators of good photography. These indicators should be explained in detail, not just mentioned.

Apply quality indicators of digital photography like rules of composition, use of lines, shape, form, patterns, color, frame, contrast, focus, angle etc. to digital photos

Research at least two articles dealing with professional photography.

To what details does a good photographer have to pay attention? Why is it important to make the best possible shots (in other words, to get the best possible shots “in the box”) even if they can be digitally altered afterwards? How do the photos use composition? Is the frame filled with the image? Is eye-contact a good technique for making a captivating photo? Why or why not?

During the explore phase of your career readiness plan, you get to
research the potential companies that you hope to work for one day. It
is important to do this, because although a company may look good on
paper, it may not always be the right fit for you.(The job I will seek in the future is Remote Medical Coding) You can share your work history as long as the remote coding company is the one you have for your future career. Take a moment to examine the site (Glassdoor) Type in a few companies that you have worked for, currently work for, or
hope to work for one day, and read some of the reviews. Do you agree
with what you found, or do you find that this new information alters how
you see this organization? Please explain.

Your first short paper assignment is an “application paper.” It must be typed, double-spaced, and 2 pages in length.

Your task in this paper is to examine or observe a phenomenon in your life or surroundings, and to describe and interpret it in terms of one or more of the psychological principles, phenomena, and perspectives covered in the first half or so of the course. In short, your task is to apply the psychology you have learned so far to something in the real world. The application can involve any one of a number of possible events or situations you have experienced or observed. For example, it can be a personal experience (e.g., a work, family, or interpersonal situation, a relationship), or something you have noticed in the media (e.g., advertising, social media, political campaigns) or about social behavior (e.g., in the social, business, or cultural world) or the behavior of an individual you know.

The goal of the paper should be describe clearly how psychology applies to the real-world phenomenon or experience and to demonstrate that you understand the principle(s) at work.

Your observations must be about one or more topics covered in textbook Modules 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 14.1, 15, 16, 18, 19, 21, 22, 23; in others words all of the topics that will have been covered through Week 7
