  • Do a small amount of research and share what you learn with your peers about the topic discussed in this post.

Literary critical theory is a tool that helps you find meaning in stories, poems, and plays. When we read literature we learn more about human condition, loss and death, and the power of society and how it is implemented around race/gender The psychology of the characters provide a general history of cultures that produce specific pieces of of literature. It analyzes fictional characters using the concepts, terms, and methods of psychological theories.

The Author doesn’t simply write exactly what happened. Instead, he or she uses literacy devices that add texture, energy, and excitement to grip the reader’s imagination and covey information. Irony is a literary technique that is used throughout the story, through the character or as the plot develops. Cosmic irony is one of my favorite tools, in which fate appears to be playing a cruel joke on some of the characters, some know it as ( “poetic justice”).

Literary theory offers various approaches for understanding the role of historical context in interpretation as well as the relevance of of linguistic and unconscious elements of the text. Historicism analysis traces the history  and evolution of the different genre; narrative, dramatic, lyric, and in addition to the more recent emergence of the novel and short story. However, it also investigates the importance of formal elements of literacy structure. The author helps to explain culture in his or her texts. The key to understanding the history of psychoanalytic literary criticism is to recognize that literary criticism in books, poems, and short stories is in the mind. Therefore, the psychoanalytic critic can only talk about the minds associated with the book. Freud spelled them out in his very first remarks on literature in a letter on Fliess in October 15, 1997 in which he discussed Oedpus Rex. He applied the idea of conflict to the audience response to Oedipus and the character of Hamlet. Hamlet’s inability to act, and he speculated that the role of Oedipal’s guilt in the life of William Shakespeare. From the beginning of this field to the present, that vast of characters has never changed; author, audience, or some person derived from the text.

In the early stage of psychoanalytic criticism, the critics did more than identify Oedipus’s complexities and the symbolism of literature. The critic would relate to the “slip of the tongue” or the phallic symbol to the mind of the author.

I think psychoanalysis acquires a complex theory of justification and literary critics became able to trace defenses as well as fantasies in their stories. This allows the audience to modulate and direct their feelings to past experiences and everyday life. Today, I believe psychoanalysis has become a psychology of the self. When the author follows a general pattern of psychoanalytic criticism, the reader can evolve from the story.

Post colonial Literature is a body of ideas that an author uses to formulate literary interpretation on ethnic criticism, cultural diversity, and gender identity. works of literature that are defined as post colonial often record racism, slavery, apartheid, and migrant workers. In the 1930’s, the author John Steinbach focussed on the powerlessness of the laboring class. He was a ceaseless experimenter throughout his career. Steinbach wrote three powerful novels pertaining to Americas issues with cultural diversity, Of Mice and Men, The Grapes of Wrath, and East of Eden (1952).

I believe that definition of post-colonialism may be fairly fringed, the actual term is very subjective. There seems to be a debate whether the extent to which post colonial theory speaks to the audience as well as the author. I found this research very informative. I read all these books in high school and didn’t realize how deep the readings were.

    Organizational Change,management homework help

ABC Company, Inc. has been in existence for 10 years. They have 50 employees, currently have one location, and they only manufacture one product: widgets. They have managed to stay in business by holding onto a small portion of the widget market, but they are far from the market leader. Over the last 5 years, their market share has stayed more or less stagnant. The president of the company is an older gentleman and mostly works from home. He makes decisions through meetings with his managers over the phone and is rarely seen at the company. Mid-level managers don’t have much contact with each other and basically focus exclusively on their individual departments. The rest of the staff members are very distrustful of management and there has recently been a lot of turnover. Outside of interoffice griping, there is rarely any company wide communication.

Recent economic developments and technological advances in the widget industry have resulted in a greater demand for widgets in emerging markets, as well as in the U.S. In order to stay competitive, ABC Company is considering expanding its operation globally. ABC has come to you, an expert on organizational change, for consulting advice. Evaluate ABC’s current OCC. What advice would you provide in order to better position ABC to successfully implement this change? Be as thorough and specific as possible, covering as many issues as you can.

Guidelines for Submission: Short papers should use double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, and one-inch margins. Sources should be cited according to a discipline-appropriate citation method. Page-length requirements: 1–4 pages.
