This relative has asked you to recommend three stocks that can be held for awhile to maximize earnings, and will choose from one of the three you recommend. You have agreed to do a little research and provide the recommendations.

You may use one of the financial services sites like http://finance.yahoo.com and find three stocks you like (for instance, Wal-Mart, FedEx, and Microsoft). In an MS Word document, write up your recommendations and your rationale for each. Your recommendation should include:

• The name of the stocks and the stock symbols
• The exchange where the stocks are traded
• The 52 week range (high/low price)
• • The lowest amount each stock has traded in the past year

Positive thoughts of some members-

Which seems sugar coated , all answers went like sugar coated and there was a turning point when I as a group leader asked a question” what can be done differently to process this group even better” , then all negative feeling comes up and it opens up the discussion ,this is a leadership style that when people are quite how toput people on spots to talk. People ( Kera)expressed feeling that the group was not that helpful, it did not go as it was supposed to. People were so formal, only superficial information was shred. No deeper stuff was shared. She got more support from outside the group that inside as group was more superficial.

3. Write a two sentence statement about why you agreed or disagreed with the statement or why you question it (or want to know more).
4. Look at how the original statement was supported—what proof was presented? (see step four for list)

3. Anymore, age alone does not equal experience, and a young person may have wisdom to share that an older audience would be better for hearing. We can be wise in one area and completely ignorant of another. Might have nothing to do with age–our point of view and story may still illuminate an idea for another.

4. The paragraph lists the types of experiences older voices may have: all life experiences, good vs. evil, rich & poor, etc.

5. Books written by teenagers like The Outsiders (S E Hinton) or Dragonheart that deal with good vs. evil, rich & poor…exactly. What I knew/figured out as a kid vs. what kids know now.

6. Does age alone equal wisdom?

7. When does age equal wisdom? (at what age?) If age alone does not equal wisdom, what else is needed? Do young authors have a harder time getting their books/work accepted?

This is a basic example, but you can get a better idea of how to work through the pieces. This is a start–we’ll use this to discuss genuine inquiry.
